Blanche Conway
BEMIDJI -- Blanche C. Conway, 81, Bemidji, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at home.
Blanche Caroline Griffith was born Aug. 26, 1918, the daughter of Ira and Blanche (Sherwin) Griffith, in Englewood Township, Koochiching County, Minn. She attended school in Northome, Minn. In 1932, she moved to Bemidji, where she graduated from high school in 1936. She attended French's Business College, Bemidji. She married
Charles Conway on Sept. 18, 1938, in Northome. While living in Bemidji, she worked for Arnold Forbes law office. In 1942, they moved to St. Paul. In 1947, they returned to Bemidji. In 1948, they took over operation of Conway's Sandy Beach Resort, Big Lake, Minn. They retired in 1985.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Kay (Bill) Juhnke, Larimore, N.D., Alice (Landis) Gryte and Chris (Ken) Larson, both of Pequot Lakes, Minn., Margo (Norman) Carlson, Bemidji, and Jean (Steven) Penoncello, Moscow, Idaho; a son, Charles (Janice), Bemidji; 21 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; three sisters; and three brothers.
Services: 1: 30 p.m. Wednesday, First Baptist Church, Bemidji.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, First Assembly of God, Bemidji, and one hour before services in First Baptist Church.
Burial: Ten Lake Township Cemetery, Bemidji. Memorials are suggested to First Assembly of God Church or North County Hospice, Bemidji (Olson-Schwartz, Bemidji).
Budd Sudbury
Budd B. Sudbury, 72, Grand Forks, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Budd B. Sudbury was born May 22, 1928, the son of Irvin and Sadie (Coffaa) Sudbury, in Sioux City, Iowa, where he attended school. He married
Bernice Bjerke in 1976. He worked as a farm laborer in the Grand Forks area until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife; a half brother, Alex Parkhurst, Huron, S.D.; a sister, Drucella (Leeland) Chison, Chamberlain, S.D.; and half sisters, Ann Weber and Bernice Spain, both of Huron.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.
Visitation: One hour before services in the church.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks.
Alma St. Peter
BEMIDJI -- Alma J. St. Peter, 93, Bemidji, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, in North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bemidji.
Alma Julia Hanson was born April 5, 1907, the daughter of Lars and Emma Hanson, in Donnybrook, N.D. She moved with her family to Southern Minnesota, and in 1921 to North Fork near Debs, Minn., where she attended school. She married
Harold Duhamel on March 12, 1928, in Maple Ridge Township. They lived and farmed in Aure, Minn., until 1962, when they started spending summers by Lake Andrusia. They moved to Bemidji in 1966. Harold Duhamel died Dec. 27, 1985. She married
Howard St. Peter on Jan. 31, 1987. He died in July 1991.
She is survived by a son, Leon (Donna) Duhamel, Bemidji; a daughter, Eleanor Bohlmann, Wasilla, Alaska; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lila Stout, Bemidji, and Hazel Peterson, Tioga, N.D.
She was preceded in death by a grandson; half brothers, Ole and Carl Hanson; and a half sister, Gladys Nelson.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Trinity Lutheran Church, Debs.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Cease Family Funeral Home, Bemidji.
Burial: Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Debs.
Jevon Aasand
GRAFTON, N.D. -- Jevon "Jeep" Aasand, 78, Grafton, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in Unity Medical Center, Grafton.
Jevon L. Aasand was born July 23, 1921, the son of Olaf and Annie (Berg) Aasand, in Walsh County, N.D. He graduated from high school in Park River, N.D. He farmed in the Hoople and Vessleyville, N.D., areas. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. After his discharge, he returned home. He married
Eleanor Davis on Nov. 5, 1943, in Grafton. He expanded his farming operation to Osseo, Minn., and retired in 1981.
He is survived by his wife; a son, David, Palatka, Fla.; a grandson; a brother, Ole (Frances), Grafton; sisters, Lila Monson, and Olga Whitham, both of Grafton, and Beulah Barta, Grand Forks.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark; and a daughter, Joan Mohagen.
Services: 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday, Grafton Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Tollefson Funeral Home, Grafton, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Grafton Lutheran Cemetery.
Marguerite Solberg
CHURCHS FERRY, N.D. -- Marguerite Solberg, 101, Billings, Mont., formerly of Churchs Ferry, died Dec. 24, 1999, in Valley Health Care Center, Billings.
Marguerite Solberg was born July 15, 1898, the daughter of Hans and Kristi Solberg, in Churchs Ferry, N.D., where she graduated from high school. She attended Mayville State Teachers College and taught in North Dakota and Minnesota until moving to Billings in 1924. She earned her bachelor's degree from Rocky Mountain College in 1940. She taught in Billings from 1924 until her retirement in 1961.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Ann (Art) Solberg, Langdon, N.D.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Art, Harold, and Roy; and sisters, Ragna Solberg, and Florence Braeger (Fally).

Viola Anfinson
RUGBY, N.D. -- Viola "Vi" B. Anfinson, 87, Rugby, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in the Heart of America Long Term Care Unit, where she had lived since 1998.
Viola Berdella Anfinson was born April 26, 1913, the daughter of Carl and Caroline (Espe) Anfinson, in Pleasant Valley Township, Rolette County, N.D. She graduated from Bisbee (N.D.) High School on May 28, 1931. She lived on the family farm, working with her parents. In 1942, Viola and her mother moved to Mylo, where she worked at a local restaurant and later at the Mylo Implement as a bookkeeper. She worked at Rolette State Bank until her retirement. She moved to Rugby in 1991.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Lucile Anfinson, Towner, N.D., and Carrie Anfinson, Mylo.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two infant sisters.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mylo Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 6 to 8: 30 p.m. Tuesday, 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, both in Niewoehner Funeral Home, Rolette, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Mylo Cemetery.
Donald Anderson
The funeral for Donald Anderson, 87, Dickinson, North Dakota, formerly of Dazey, North Dakota, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2000, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Dazey, with the Rev. Dan Faust officiating. Burial will be in Dazey Cemetery. He died Saturday morning, June 24, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dickinson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 25 at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City, and one hour before the service at the church.
Donald Anderson was born July 27, 1912, in Dazey, North Dakota, the son of Theodore S. and Inga (Mickelson) Anderson. He graduated from Dazey High School in 1932. After school, he moved near Fargo and worked on a dairy farm.
He married
Dorothy Green. They moved in 1937 to Dazey, where they farmed. She died in 1963. He retired from farming in 1968. He married
Rosalia Wegner August 27, 1968. They moved to Wenatchee, Washington, where they managed a motel in Leavenworth, Washington, and an apartment building in Wenatchee. They lived for 17 years in Winterhaven, California, where they did volunteer work. In 1996, they moved to Dickinson.
Donald is survived by his wife, Rosalia; three sons, Donald T. (Mary), Topeka, Kansas; Dennis (Kim), Ashby, Minnesota; Darryl (Joan), Wright, Wyoming; four daughters, Darlene (Lloyd) Johnson, Dickinson; DeLois (Donald) Heinze, Center, North Dakota; Dorothe Jean (David) Hetland; Hillsboro, North Dakota; Debra (Lyle) Hoverson, Mankato, Minnesota; one son-in-law, DuWayne Hare, Sibley; one sister, Isadora (Paul) Grotting-Sevareid, Fargo; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, six sisters, three brothers, one daughter, Donna Mae, two grandsons, Clay and David Tolstad.
Funeral arrangements are by Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City.
