Kari Etherington
LANGDON, N.D. -- Kari A. Etherington, 36, Helena, Mont., formerly of Langdon, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at home.
Kari Anne Onerheim was born Feb. 2, 1964, the daughter of Hollis "Red" and Lucille (Keaveny) Onerheim, in Grand Forks. She graduated from high school in Langdon, in 1982. She attended Valley City (N.D.) State University. She married
Tony Etherington on Aug. 27, 1982, in Langdon. They lived in Bismarck. She received her associates of science degree from Bismarck State College, in 1994. They moved to Helena in 1998. She worked as a teacher's assistant for Central School and at the front desk of the YMCA.
She is survived by her husband; children, Matthew, Holly, A.J. and Jaron, all of Helena; her mother, Langdon; and a sister, Patty Holman, Little Canada, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Helena Cathedral.
Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. vigil service, Retz Funeral Home, Helena.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Cancer Center or St. Peter's Hospice, 2480 Broadway St., Helen, MT 59601.
Bernice Jensen
DEVILS LAKE -- Bernice D. Jensen, 83, Devils Lake, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at home.
Bernice D. Jensen was born July 27, 1917, the daughter of Daniel and Leonora (Knudson) Jensen, in Devils Lake, where she graduated from high school in 1934. She worked as a secretary at the Fairmont Creamery. She then worked at the Health unit until retiring in 1972 due to health.
She is survived by a sister, Thelma Macey, Portland, Ore.; and a sister-in-law, Florence Jensen, Minot.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Jensen and Signe Kohler; and a brother, Edward.
Services: 1 p.m. today, Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake.
Visitation: 9 a.m. until time of service today in the funeral home.
Burial: Devils Lake Cemetery.
Eileen Rhodegard
THIEF RIVER FALLS -- Eileen Rhodegard, 82, Thief River Falls, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Eileen Ethel Rhodegard was born Feb. 26, 1918, the daughter of Halvor and Hilda (Eklund) Rhodegard, in Thief River Falls, where she graduated from high school in 1935. She worked for Larson Music Co. as a bookkeeper. She later worked at Northern State Bank as a teller and for First National Bank in Minneapolis. She returned to Thief River Falls and worked for First Federal Savings and Loan and later with Stordahl Truck Lines, where she retired. She also cared for her parents.
She is survived by sisters, Opal Bjerken, Thief River Falls, and Maurine Tinsley, Concord, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Lindberg; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lindberg, Ernest Bjerken and Bill Tinsley.
Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls.
Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a 6: 30 p.m. prayer service, Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
Anthony Feist
Anthony "Tony" Feist, 85, 1610 Ninth Ave. N., died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in Northwood (N.D.) Deaconess Hospital.
Anthony Paul Feist was born March 21, 1915, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (Lauinger) Feist, in Grand Forks, where he graduated from high school. He attended UND. He worked for the Minnesota Dairy. He married
Ann Marie Wavra on April 21, 1938, in Tabor, Minn. They lived in Grand Forks. He began working as a switchman for the Great Northern Railway in 1955 and retired from the Burlington Northern Railway as a yard master after 20 years.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Roberta Ann Smith, Cavalier, N.D., and Geraldine (Jack) Offerdahl, Cherry Valley, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis (Betty), Grand Forks.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary; brothers, Sebastian, Casper and Joe; and sisters, Mary Halverson, Glenna Loken, Irene Miller and Martha Megil.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Norman Funeral Home, Columbia Road.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks. Memorials are suggested to St. Michael's Mens Club.
William Cardwell
William Cardwell, 68, Mission, Texas, formerly of Grand Forks, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in Briarcliff Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, McAllen, Texas.
William Cardwell was born Aug. 24, 1932, the son of Frank and Margaret Cardwell, in Grand Forks. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He married
Diana Landsem on Feb. 10, 1958, in East Grand Forks. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Fargo until retiring in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Diana.
Services: Will be held at a later date (Skinner-Silva, Pharr, Texas).
Grace Olmstead
Grace Olmstead, 78, 714 Oak St., died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Grace Sullivan was born Nov. 29, 1922, the daughter of John and Helen (Burton) Sullivan, in Chester Township, Grand Forks County, N.D. She attended school in Emerado, N.D., and graduated from high school in Grand Forks, in 1940. She married
Howard Olmstead on July 20, 1945, in Crookston. She worked for Norby's Department Store, Grand Forks, in the Marking Room for 20 years. She retired in 1986. She had lived with her two sons since the flood of 1997.
She is survived by sons Roger and Robert, both of Grand Forks; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a grandson; a brother, William; and sisters, Ivy Parker, Margaret Goldsberry and Edith Sullivan.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks.

Robert Pribula
Robert E. Pribula, 75, formerly of East Grand Forks, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, in Valley Memorial Home-4000 Valley Square, Grand Forks.
Robert Ernest Pribula was born Sept. 22, 1925, the son of Paul and Eleanor (Travnicek) Pribula, in East Grand Forks. He attended school in Alvarado, Minn. He married
Dorothy McGrath on Oct. 1, 1946, in Grand Forks. They lived and farmed north of East Grand Forks. In 1962, he built and managed Oslo Potato Co. He sold the plant in 1975, and they moved to East Grand Forks. He formed Gateway Potato Co. in 1978 and worked as a potato broker until retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Rnae (Frank) Gelling, New Holland, Ont., and Karen Keller, Fort Wayne, Ind.; sons, Ernest (Phyllis) and Arnold (Vicki), both of East Grand Forks, Tim (JoLynn), Grand Forks, and Charles, St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers, Ray (Marie), East Grand Forks, Leon (Irene), Alvarado, and Emil (LaVerne), Warren, Minn.; and sisters, Dorothy Pribula, Crookston, and Bernice Sims, Fargo.
Services: Noon Wednesday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Norman Funeral Home, Columbia Road, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks.
