Milton Larson
Milton "Milt" Larson, 79, 534 12th St. N.W., East Grand Forks, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at home.
Milton Larson was born Feb. 23, 1921, the son of Julius and Esther (Erickson) Larson, in Esther Township, Polk County, Minn. He grew up near and graduated from high school in East Grand Forks, in 1939. He worked for Nash Finch for two years. He joined the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He married
Leola "Maggie" Magnusson on Aug. 17, 1947, in Grand Forks. He moved to East Grand Forks, where he worked as a salesman for Nash Finch for 18 years. He worked for Potato Sales of East Grand Forks for two years and then for Grand Forks Grocery for 25 years, retiring in 1985.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Renae (Tom) Oothoudt, Little Falls, Minn., Jan (Jim) Baune, East Grand Forks, and Cindy (Brian) Flom, Flower Mound, Texas; a son, Wayne, Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Black, East Grand Forks; and brothers, Ralph (Rhea), East Grand Forks, and Ray (Irene), Angus, Minn.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don Black.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Bethany Lutheran Church, East Grand Forks.
Visitation: 5 to 7: 30 p.m. Friday, with a 7: 30 p.m. prayer service, Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: North Bethany Cemetery.
Agnes Holy
Agnes E. Holy, 91, St. Cloud, Minn., formerly of East Grand Forks, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at her daughter's home in St. Cloud.
Agnes E. Straus was born April 5, 1909, the daughter of Frank and Barbara (Bozech) Straus, in Keystone Township, Polk County, Minn. She married
James Holy on Nov. 18, 1930, in Tabor, Minn. They farmed in Northland Township until 1956, when they moved to East Grand Forks. She worked for Minnesota Dairy, Grand Forks. James Holy died July 22, 1985. In 1997, she moved to St. Cloud.
She is survived by children, Donald (Bernice), East Grand Forks, Evelyn (Burton) Bancroft, St. Cloud, and Lloyd (Virginia), Grafton, N.D.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Ed and Williams; and sisters, Nellie Brantl and Bessie Brantl.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks (Williams, St. Cloud).
Grace Robbins
CAVALIER, N.D. -- Grace Robbins, 94, Sun City West, Ariz., formerly of Cavalier, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at home.
Grace Aaland was born April 16, 1906, the daughter of Knute and Mary (Larson) Aaland, in Hoople, N.D., where she graduated from high school. She attended UND. She married
Dr. William Robbins on July 10, 1933, in Hoople. They lived in Cavalier. Dr. William Robbins died March 25, 1990.
She is survived by a son, William (Patricia), Cavalier; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Millie Lewis; and brothers, Clarence, Adolph, Andrew and Morgan.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Cavalier Presbyterian Church.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, and one hour before services in the chruch.
Burial: Cavalier Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier.
Judy Link
Judy D. Link, 49, Neosho, Mo., formerly of Grand Forks, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at home, where she had been living for five years.
Judy D. Link was born July 3, 1951, in Grand Forks. She married
Kermit Link on May 30, 1980, in McCanna, N.D. They moved to Belton, Mo.
She is survived by her husband; her mother and stepfather, Wilma (Bennie) Nowek, McCanna; brothers, Jimmy McClean, McCanna, and Todd Nowek, Minnesota; and a sister, Janie Strauss, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Services: Were held in Neosho.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Neosho. Memorials are suggested to Oakwood Christian Church, c/o Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
Eldon Walden
Eldon Walden, 83, Grand Forks, formerly of Inkster, N.D., died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Eldon Walden was born Dec. 9, 1917, the son of Aleck and Sophie (Hansen) Walden, in Inkster, where he attended school. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corp and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1946 during World War II. He worked as a truck driver until his retirement. He married
Marian Baker-Gabb on April 13, 1955, in Crookston.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Paul Felton, Madison, Wis., Brian (Denise) Felton, Australia, and Glenn Walden, Bismarck; daughters, Janet Wood, Las Vegas, Pamela (Gilbert) Heinle, Grand Forks, and Rhonda (David) Paulson, Warroad, Minn.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale; and brothers and sisters.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.
Visitation: One hour before services in the funeral home.
Burial: Inkster Cemetery.
Judie Hanson
DEVILS LAKE -- Judie M. Hanson, 57, Portland, Ore., formerly of Devils Lake, died Nov. 20, 2000, in Portland.
Judie Marie Wilkie was born Sept. 3, 1943, the daughter of David and Florestine (Azure) Wilkie, in Belcourt, N.D. She grew up and graduated from high school in Devils Lake. She moved to Portland and married
Roland Savage. She married
Roger Hanson on Feb. 14, 1977, in Portland.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Kelly (Dean) Kidd, Mount Angel, Ore.; a son, Curtis Savage, Portland; two granddaughters; sisters, Christine Milford, Grand Forks, and Lovetta Kearney, Moorhead; a brother, Raymond, Moorhead; three stepsisters and two stepbrothers, all of Fargo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Vincent and Michael.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael, N.D. (Gregory J. Norman, Grand Forks).
Cody Lundgren
Cody C. Lundgren, infant son of Charles and Tami Lundgren, Fargo, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Cody C. Lundgren was born Aug. 11, 2000, in Fargo.
He is survived by his parents; grandparents, David and Karen Kirkeby and Mike and Shirley Lundgren, both of Thief River Falls; and great-grandparents, Milton and Esther Kirkeby, Twin Valley, Minn., Genevieve Kurpius, Moorhead, Dale Lundgren, New Ulm, Minn., and George and Gerry Duquette, Thief River Falls.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Joseph Kurpius, Dolores Lundgren, and Joseph Sabol.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Hope Lutheran Church, Fargo.
