Dorothy Larson
THIEF RIVER FALLS -- Dorothy Larson, 91, Milwaukee, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Dec. 19, 2000, in Luther Manor, Milwaukee.
Dorothy Marie Shirley was born July 21, 1909, the daughter of Charles and Gena (Gilbertson) Shirley, in Thief River Falls. She graduated from school in 1927. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead. She married
Walter Larson on Oct. 30, 1927, in Moorhead. They lived in Thief River Falls. They owned and operated the Junior Shop and Larson Style Center until retiring in 1975. She later ran the gift shop in Northwest Medical Center. Walter Larson died in 1978. She moved to Milwaukee in June 1997.
She is survived by a son, the Rev. Dale (Gloria), Milwaukee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Thursday, Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls.
Visitation: Two hours before services in the church.
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls (Green, Thief River Falls).
Edith Pritz
BINFORD, N.D. -- Edith I. Pritz, 97, Binford, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, in Central Dakota Nursing Home, Jamestown.
Edith Irene Pritz was born Dec. 14, 1903, the daughter of Otto and Elizabeth (Reid) Pritz, in Binford, where she graduated from high school. She graduated from UND in 1925. She taught school in Cooperstown and Harvey, N.D. She attended North Dakota State University and Iowa State University. She taught school in Mankato, Minn. She returned to Binford, where she taught school.
She is survived by nieces.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Skjolden and Myrtle Shadoan.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today, Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Binford Cemetery.
Brian Anderson
EDINBURG, N.D. -- Brian S. Anderson, 30, Edinburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Brian Scott Anderson was born July 9, 1970, the son of Roy and Barbara (Sonderson) Anderson, in Park River, N.D. He grew up and graduated from high school in Edinburg in 1988. He graduated from Northwest Technical College, East Grand Forks.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Suzanne (Chuck) Kartes, Edinburg; and grandparents, Joe and Adele Anderson and Marlin and Patsy Foseide, all of Edinburg.
Services: Private services will be held.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today, Tollefson Funeral Home, Edinburg.
Gina Eiene
HAMAR, N.D. -- Gina Eiene, 94, Hamar, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, in Nelson County Health System - Care Center, where she had been living since Jan. 22, 1999.
Gina Gleason was born May 12, 1906, the daughter of Kasper and Pernille (Nabben) Gleason, in Edmore, N.D. In 1906, she moved with her family to Hamar, where she attended school. She lived in Buxton, N.D., and the West Coast, before returning home. She married
Lars Eiene on Oct. 15, 1938, in Buxton, where they lived. He died Dec. 21, 1953. In 1956, she moved to Hamar to care for her mother.
She is survived by sisters, Inga Hettervig, Kent, Wash., and Agnes (Philip) Peterson, Climax, Minn.; and brothers, Edward and Henry, both of Hamar.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Peter, Kai, Joseph, and Leif.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sigdal Lutheran Church, Tolna, N.D.
Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. today, Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home, McVille, N.D., and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Buxton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Sigdal Church Cemetery, Tolna.
Richard Ruich
Richard Ruich, 79, Bell Gardens, Calif., formerly of Grand Forks, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, in Bell Gardens.
Richard Ruich was born Jan. 29, 1921, the son of Joseph and Bergit (Flaat) Ruich, in Fargo, where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He lived in California, where he worked as an automobile mechanic.
He is survived by brothers, Donovan (Donna), Grand Forks and Jerome (Jeanette), Fort Wayne, Ind.; and sisters, Norma Zipoy, Hayward, Wis., Mary Schefter, San Francisco, and Joan Ruich, Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Johnson.
Services: Private services will be held.
Burial: Sunnywood Gardens, Grand Forks (Amundson, Grand Forks).
Myrtle Moen
MAYVILLE, N.D. -- Myrtle M. Moen, 79, Louisville, Ky., formerly of Mayville, and Grand Forks, died Dec. 23, 2000, in Baptist Hospital East, Louisville.
Myrtle May Moen was born May 11, 1921, the daughter of John and Mary (Sundmall) Moen, in Mayville. She married
Herman Dubbert in 1941. They moved to Grand Forks in 1955. She worked as a nurses' aide for Mayville Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and the Grand Forks Clinic. She moved to Salt Lake City, where she worked for the University of Utah in cancer research. She moved to Houston, where she continued to work in cancer research for M.D. Anderson Hospital. Later she started a printing and publishing business. After retiring, she moved to Louisville.
She is survived by daughters, Connie (Stan) Selle, East Grand Forks, and Kathleen Haynes and Carole (Michael) Gibson, both of Louisville; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Omar, Mayville, Robert, Kent, Wash., and Einar, Lebonan, Ore.; and a sister, Edith Knudson, Grand Forks.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Alton.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Mayville Lutheran Church.
Visitation: One hour before services in the church.
Burial: Clifford (N.D.) Cemetery

Orville Iverson
Orville L. Iverson, 78, Grand Forks, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at home.
Orville Leonard Iverson was born Nov. 1, 1922, the son of John and Lizzie (Askim) Iverson, in Norton Township, Walsh County, N.D. He graduated from high school in Lankin, N.D., in 1942. He farmed in the Lankin area until 1956. He worked for Robertson Lumber Co., Grand Forks, from 1956 to 1957 and for Border States Electric Co. from 1957 to 1985. He also worked for Grand Forks Housing Authority. He married
Lillian Jasmer in 1945. He married
Irene Paukert on Dec. 31, 1975 in Grand Forks. She died Dec. 31, 1999.
He is survived by sons, Darrel and Randy (Patty), both of Grand Forks; stepsons, Charles (Joyce) Paukert, Omaha, Neb., Daniel (Cheryl) Paukert, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, William (Meredith) Paukert, Clearwater, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Rosemarie (Rick) Wolfe, Anita, Iowa; nine grandchildren; a brother, Alvin, Park River, N.D.; and a sister, Avis (Truman) Sandland, Clearbrook, Minn.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer.
Services: 10: 30 a.m. Wednesday, University Lutheran Church, Grand Forks.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.
Burial: 2: 30 p.m., Hoff Cemetery, Lankin.
