Raymond Blue
BELCOURT, N.D. -- Raymond W. Blue, 67, Belcourt, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, in UniMed Medical Center, Minot.
Raymond Wayne Blue was born April 14, 1933, the son of Charles and Jane (Short) Blue, in Belcourt, N.D., where he attended school. He worked for the Turtle Mountain Tribe and later for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
He is survived by children, Julie (Curt) Laducer, Belcourt, and Ramon, Mandan, N.D.; two grandchildren; sisters, Clara Rodewald, Mary Wilkie, Elizabeth Beston, Helen Bercier, Evelyn Charette, Joyce Grant and Carol Patnaude, all of Belcourt; and brothers, Patrick Blue, in Minnesota, Sam Patnaude, Belcourt, and Melvin Patnaude, in Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joann Patnaude; and brothers, Charles Blue Jr., Richard Patnaude, Elmer Patnaude, Edward Patnaude, and C. Benjamin Blue.
Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt.
Visitation: Begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, with an 8 p.m. rosary and vigil service, and one hour before services all in the church.
Burial: St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery
in the spring (Keplin, Rolette, N.D.).
June Holmen
HATTON, N.D. -- June Holmen, 77, Hatton, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, in the Tri-County Nursing Home, Hatton, where she had lived since Dec. 10, 1996.
June Thompson was born June 15, 1923, the daughter of Melvin and Ida (Engebretson) Thompson, in Hatton, where she graduated from high school in 1941. She married
Kenneth Hopewell in May 1949, in Cooperstown, N.D. They lived in Minneapolis and later at Clearwater Lake, near Leonard, Minn. She moved to Hatton in 1965 and worked as a nurses aid at the Tri-County Nursing Home from 1965 until her retirement in 1992. She married
Benny Holmen on Feb. 23, 1980, in Grand Forks. Benny Holmen died Dec. 4, 2000.
She is survived by daughters, Sheryl (Douglas) Sannes, West Fargo, N.D., and Jackie (Mike) Boushy, Moorhead; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister Harriet Scott, Springfield, Va.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Wallace and Russell.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Bilden Funeral Home, Hatton.
Burial: St. John Cemetery, Hatton.
Bennie Holmen
HATTON, N.D. -- Bennie Holmen, 82, Hatton, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Bennie Holmen was born July 21, 1918, the son of Axel and Caroline (Myra) Holmen, in Hatton. He grew up in the Hatton area and later served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He married
Pearl Waslien n Oct. 3, 1939, in Fisher, Minn. He farmed in the Hatton Community until retiring in 1978. He worked with the Traill County Highway Department until 1988. Pearl Holmen died June 26, 1977. He married
June Hopewell Thompson on Feb. 23, 1980, in Grand Forks. They lived in Hatton. June Holmen died Dec. 3, 2000.
He is survived by daughters, Sharon (Darrell) Stormoe, Hatton, Eileen (Larry) Domier, Mayville, N.D., and Bonnie (Tom) Knodle, Williston, N.D.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Buchholz, Stewartville, Minn., and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Holmen, Hatton.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin and Rodger; and sisters, Audrey Kobbervig and Isla Larson.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, St. John Lutheran Church, Hatton.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in the Bilden Funeral Home, Hatton.
Burial: St. John Cemetery, Hatton.
Lorna Hamilton
BEMIDJI -- Lorna Hamilton, 82, Bemidji, died Nov. 27, 2000, in Brian Nursing Center, Wilson, N.C.
Lorna Zaffke was born Oct. 15, 1918, the daughter of Moses and Lila Zaffke, in Backus, Minn., where she graduated from high school in 1935. She married
Fay Hamilton on Oct. 27, 1940. They lived in Backus for 22 years. They moved to Bemidji in 1962. Fay Hamilton died Oct. 17, 1990.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Johnson, Duluth, Sharon (Milton) Attoe, Middlesex, N.C., Lila (Rick) Burlingame, Senoia, Ga., and Shelly Bever, Robertsdale, Ala.; sons, Stephen (Diane), Friendship, Wis., and Mark (Angela), Laporte, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara (Allen) Lindgren, Mounds View, Minn.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Enger.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Mildred (Minn.) Bible Chapel.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today, Cease Family Funeral Home, Bemidji, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Backus.
Marie Greicar
PISEK, N.D. -- Marie Greicar, 92, Pisek, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, in Manorcare, Fargo.
Marie Kadlec was born on Nov. 23, 1908, the daughter of Louis and Rosalie (Rumreich) Kadlec, in Pisek, where she attended school. She lived in Grand Forks, where she worked as a nanny. She married
Cyril "Cy" Greicar on Oct. 19, 1931, in Pisek. They lived in Pisek, where they owned and operated Cy's Place. Cyril Greicar died Aug. 30, 1968. She lived in Pisek until August 1996, when she moved to Fargo.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Fleming, Auburn, Wash.; a son, Conrad (Kittie), Junction City, Kan.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sisters, Ange Landeis, Larimore, N.D., Clem (Edgar) Robinson, St. Paul, Agnes Peterka, Veseleyville, N.D., Ann (Bob) Kennicott, West Palm Beach, Fla., Luella Odstrcil, Minto, N.D., and Rose (John) Pavek, Fargo; and brothers, Joe (Edith), Park River, N.D., and Louis (Marcy), Pisek.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Park River.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. rosary service, Henriksen-Overbye Funeral Home, Park River, and one hour before services in the church.

Dorothy Hall
MUNICH, N.D. -- Dorothy Hall, 67, Munich, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, in St. Andrew's in Bottineau, N.D.
Dorothy Faith Buckingham was born April 23, 1933, the daughter of Richard and Matie (Rice) Buckingham, in Langdon, N.D. She grew up and attended school in Calvin, N.D. She married
Lloyd Hall on Dec. 9, 1950, in Calvin. They lived in Munich. She worked as a nurses aid for The Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon, Maple Manor Care Center, Langdon, and Resthaven Healthcare Center, Cando, N.D.
She is survived by her husband; children, James, Terry (Marianne), Shawn, and Bradley, all of Munich, David (Judy), Custer, S.D., Kevin and Barbara (Roger) Fohr, both of Grand Forks, and Twila (Craig) Zahn, Bottineau; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael; her parents; and a brother.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Munich.
Visitation: After 6: 30 p.m. today, with a 7: 30 p.m. prayer service, and one hour before services all in the church (Brooks, Langdon).
Charles King
Charles H. King, 77, 4670 Belmont Road, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, in Altru Hospital.
Charles Henry King was born Feb. 10, 1923, the son of Harry and Clara (Ostby) King, in Hankinson, N.D., where he attended school. He later attended North Dakota State School of Science, Wahpeton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received a Silver Star. He married
Margaret Frink on June 19, 1948, in Parshall, N.D. They lived in Grafton and Valley City, N.D., and Wahpeton, where he worked at Job Service North Dakota. In 1995, he moved to Grand Forks.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Deborah Buch, Big Lake, Minn., Carolyn (Kenneth) Scarbrough, Staples, Minn., and Laurie (Brian) Harris, Grand Forks; a son, Jason, Naperville, Ill.; six grandchildren; and sisters, Faye (Lee) Tallakson, Edina, Minn., and Florence (Frank) Kurtz, Williston.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Norman; and sisters, Betty Anderson and an infant.
Services: 2 p.m. today, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Forks. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Christian Childrens Center or Altru Hospice (Amundson).
