Sarah Cooper
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- Sarah Cooper, 4, Huntington Beach, died of viral myocarditis, Aug. 31, 2000, in Children's Hospital Orange County, Orange, Calif.
Sarah Elizabeth Cooper was born Oct. 10, 1995, the daughter of Mark and Sandra (Erickson, formerly of Fisher, Minn.) Cooper, in Torrance, Calif. She loved pre-school, swimming and had just started soccer practice.
She is survived by her parents; brothers, Samuel and Seth; and grandparents, Earl and Vivian Erickson, Fisher, and Mary Ellen Cooper, San Antonio. She was survived by a great-grandmother, Etta Field who died Sept. 3, 2000.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry Cooper; and great-grandfather, the Rev. Carl Field.
Services: were held in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Burial: Pacific View Memorial Park, Newport Beach, Calif.
Elmer Olson
DEVILS LAKE -- Elmer M. Olson, 70, Devils Lake, formerly of Cando, N.D., died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, in Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake.
Elmer Melvin Olson was born March 9, 1930, the son of Melvin and Selma Olson, in Cando, where he attended school. He married
Darlene Klipfel on Oct. 30, 1951, in Egeland, N.D. They lived in Cando. He worked for the North Dakota Highway Department. He retired in 1993. He moved to Devils Lake in August 2000.
He is survived by his wife; children, Charlotte (Lyle) Larson, Sterling, Colo., Debra (Art) Woods and Gary (Rosemarie), both of Watford City, N.D., Jerry (Connie) and Bryon (Sue), both of Devils Lake, and Bradley (Mini), Minot Air Force Base; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Selmer (Darlene), Lexington, Ky., and Melvin Jr. (Judy), Paris, Ky.; and sisters, Sylvia (Mike) Harland, Egeland, Norma Halverson, Cando, Joyce (Gerald) Thompson, Hawley, Minn., and Linda (Jim) Peterson, Bloomington, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Janice and Donna.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Cando Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, all in Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home, Cando, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Cando.
Elizabeth Davis
BELCOURT, N.D. -- Elizabeth "Fee" Davis, 88, Belcourt, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, in Trinity Medical Center, Minot.
Elizabeth Gourneau was born July 9, 1912, the daughter of Leander and Emerise (McCloud) Gourneau, in Belcourt. She married
Alexander Davis on Dec. 28, 1931, in Belcourt. He died July 21, 1992.
She is survived by sons, Roland (Marlene), George (Cathy), Francis "Fatty" (Mary Lou), James "Jimmy" (Colleen) and Alexander "Junior" (Beverly), all of Belcourt, and Fred "Baby" (Beverly), Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Madeline Keplin and Pat Wanna, both of Belcourt; 35 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Adelaid Davis and Joanne Allard; a son, Richard; a grandson; brothers, Leander, Robert, Gilbert, Louis, Benjamin, and Isadore; and a sister, Alice Gourneau.
Services: 10 a.m. today, St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt.
Visitation: One hour before services in the church.
Burial: St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery

Mae Schultz
THIEF RIVER FALLS -- Mae Schultz, 82, Thief River Falls, formerly of St. Hilaire, Minn., died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, in Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls.
Mae Vezina was born March 20, 1918, the daughter of George and Mary (Louzon) Vezina, in Fosston, Minn. She attended school on the White Earth Reservation, Minn. She married
Herbert Schultz on June 14, 1938, in Fosston. She worked as a seamstress for Northwest Medical Center.
She is survived by children, Darlene (Melford) Gregerson, Browerville, Minn., Ronald (Carol) and Terrance, both of Proctor, Minn., Ione Scott, St. Hilaire, and Lori (Patrick) Zapzalka, St. Joseph, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson; and 15 brothers and sisters.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fosston.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, Fosston, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Clarence Wang
PARK RIVER, N.D. -- Clarence T. Wang, 86, Park River, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in St. Ansgar's Health Center, Park River.
Clarence T. Wang was born July 22, 1914, the son of Adolph and Sophie (Veralrud) Wang, in Oak Park Township, Marshall County, Minn., where he attended school. In 1928, he moved with his family to Hoople, N.D., and later to Park River. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He returned to Park River where he worked as a farm laborer. He married
Corrine Chapman Lindgren in March 1965. He owned and operated Cassey's Bar, Park River. He worked at Farmers Union Oil Co. of Park River until his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Tami Jo White, Park River; step daughters, Corrine "Corky" Lindgren and Pam Novak, both of Park River; two grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert (Carol), Park River; and sisters, Lila (Russell) Lien and Alpha Peterson, both of Park River, and Verna (Orville) Lien, Worthington, Minn.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John; a sister, Myrtle Penas; and a stepson, Guy Lindgren.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Park River.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today, Tollefson Funeral Home, Park River, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River.

Daniel Sheridan
Daniel P. Sheridan, 54, East Grand Forks, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at home.
Daniel P. Sheridan was born Jan. 23, 1946, the son of Philip and Mary (McNulty) Sheridan, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He grew up in Flushing, N.Y. He graduated from Fordham College in New York City, received his master's degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., and his doctoral degree from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. He married
Judy Cooley on June 7, 1969, in Ithaca. He joined the English Department at UND in 1975, was associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences and director of the Red River Valley Writing Project. He published a book in November 2000 titled "Teaching Secondary English."
He is survived by his wife; sons, Philip, St. Paul, and Adam (Ashley Mercer), Minneapolis; a sister, Clare Sheridan, Medford, Mass.; and a brother, Philip (Marion), North Berwick, Maine.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Wesley United Methodist Church, Grand Forks.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks.
