Jerry Christofferson
TOLNA, N.D. -- Jerry Christofferson, 63, Tolna, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Jerry Christofferson was born June 24, 1937, the son of Elwood and Berna Christofferson, in McVille, N.D. He grew up and attended school near Hamar, N.D., and later in Tolna. He married
Edna Gleason in March 1955. He worked and purchased the family farms. He later lived in Wibaux, Mont., where he worked in the oil fields and for area ranchers. He worked for AGFORCE as an area crop adjuster.
He is survived by a son, Cory (Susan), Tolna; daughters, Carmen (Pat) Roberts, Sidney, Mont., Bing (Kim) Hanson, Fremont, Mich., Jan (Jeff) Bogert, Corona, Calif., and Carla Christofferson, Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his mother, Tolna; and a brother, Dennis (Judy), Fargo.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter; his father; and a brother, Neil.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, American Lutheran Church, Tolna.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today, Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home, McVille, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Tolna Cemetery.
Alfred Boucher
ROLETTE, N.D. -- Alfred "Fritz" Boucher, 83, Rolette, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, in Heart of America Medical Center, Rugby.
Alfred H. Boucher was born Nov. 29, 1916, the son of Emile and Emiline (Cote) Boucher, in Thorne, N.D. He graduated from high school in Rolette. He married
Doris Goodsell on Nov. 5, 1945, in Thorne. They lived in Dunseith, N.D., where he farmed and worked for Lamoureux Garage as their bulk fuel agent. They moved to a farm near Thorne in 1951. In 1956, they bought the family farm, where they farmed. He retired in 1994 and moved into Rolette. Doris Boucher died Jan. 1, 1987.
He is survived by a son, Merle (Susan), Rolette; daughters, Vicki (Allen) Lindseth, Munich, N.D., and Dannette (Doug) Klebe, Cypress, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony, Vernon, Romeo and Francis, all of Rolette, and Larry, Glenwood Springs, Colo; and sisters, Lydia Eller, Rolla, N.D., Yvonne (Otto) Renfandt, Lake Metigoshe, N.D., and Juliette (Bernard) Vandal, Bismarck.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ovide, Aime and Gary; and a sister, Florence.
Services: 10: 30 a.m. today, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rolette.
Visitation: One and a half hours before services in the church.
Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery
(Keplin, Rolette).
Alvin Hughes
Alvin Hughes, 69, 1513 11th Ave. S., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks.
Alvin Hughes was born Nov. 17, 1931, the son of Thomas and Marie (Haugen) Hughes, in Grand Forks, where he attended school. He worked for 45 years as a master electrician. He worked for several contractors before starting Hughes Electric in 1988. He retired in 1993. He worked as a city electrical inspector since 1997. He married
Helen Palya on Aug. 14, 1955, in Tabor, Minn.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Alan (Nona), Vergas, Minn.; brothers, Donald (Maureen) and John (DeLories), both of Grand Forks; and a sister, Christine (Robert) Sandlie, Renton, Wash.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony; and sisters, Mary Helle and Mildred Olson.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, United Lutheran Church, Grand Forks.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Sunnywood Gardens Cemetery, Grand Forks.
John Werner
John P. Werner, 32, Detroit Lakes, Minn., formerly of Grand Forks, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at home.
John P. Werner was born Dec. 21, 1967, the son of Arnold and Kathleen (Werner) Herald, in Sacramento, Calif. He lived in Sacramento, Anchorage, Alaska, and Grand Forks, where he graduated from high school. He returned to Sacramento. He married
Carol VanFossen on Dec. 30, 1989, in Sacramento. They lived in Sacramento until moving to Detroit Lakes, Minn., in 1993. He attended Northwest Technical College in Detroit Lakes. He worked as a transportation generalist senior with the Survey Department of the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the past four years.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Kayla Ann, Krystal Ann and Kellie Ann, all at home; his father, Newport, Ky.; and his mother, Detroit Lakes.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kelly Herald.
Services: Were held in Trinity Lutheran Church.
Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery

Randy Iverson
Randy M. Iverson, 45, Hunter, N.D., formerly of Bemidji and Ada, Minn., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000.
Randy Melvin Iverson was born Jan. 16, 1955, the son of Melvin and Mary (Erwin) Iverson, in Bemidji, where he graduated from high school in 1973. He worked several jobs until 1980. He began attending Bemidji Area Vocational School, where he graduated in 1981. He worked in auto body repair in Bemidji until 1985, when he moved to Hillsboro, N.D., to do farm labor. He lived in Ada, Minn., before moving to Hunter in 1991. He also worked in body repair in Hunter. He married
Linda Gade Olson on Jan. 8, 2000, in Hunter.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mary Iverson, Bemidji; a son, Jessie Iverson, Bemidji; his mother, Bemidji; stepdaughters, Ashley Olson, Hunter, Cindy Olson, Ada, and Christie Olson, Mahnomen, Minn.; a stepson, Kevin (Shelly) Olson, Ada; five stepgrandchildren; sisters, Janet Turban, International Falls, Minn., and Sharon (Harlan) Tardy, Nashwauk, Minn.; and a brother, Dick (Joyce), Mount Prospect, Ill.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Faith United Presbyterian Church, Hunter.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in the church.
Burial: Hunter Cemetery

Doris Mandt
Doris Mandt, 78, Grand Forks, formerly of Park River, N.D., died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Doris J. Kluxdal was born Oct. 8, 1921, the daughter of Iver and Dina (Hamre) Kluxdal, in Shepherd Township, Walsh County, N.D. She grew up and attended school in Park River. She graduated from high school in 1939. She married
Lloyd Mandt on Jan. 26, 1941, in Park River. She worked at a variety store and later as a secretary for the First State Bank, Park River from 1956 until retiring in October 1983.
She is survived by her husband, East Grand Forks; children, David (Donette), Colorado Springs, Colo., Diane Lipsh and Joyce (Daryle) Nickerson, both of Park River, W. Paul (Nikki) and Adele (David) Olson, both of Jamestown, N.D., and Jean (Lauren) Selliken, Grand Forks; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara; two grandchildren; five brothers; and a sister.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Park River.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Henriksen-Overbye Funeral Home, Park River, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Marguerite Thomasson
MOUNTAIN, N.D. -- Marguerite K. "Mickey" Thomasson, 80, Mountain, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Marguerite K. Thomasson was born Aug. 24, 1920, the daughter of Thomas and Soffia (Kristjanson) Thomasson, in Edinburg, N.D. In 1923, she moved with her family to Gardar, N.D., where she graduated from high school. She worked as a housekeeper in Pembina, Cavalier and Walsh counties, N.D. She later worked at the weigh scale at the Potato Flake Plant in Grafton, N.D. She also worked at the Borg Home in Mountain and the Pembilier Nursing Home in Walhalla, N.D.
She is survived by sisters, Lolo (Victor) Lorenz, Langdon, N.D., Patsy (Marlin) Foseide, Edinburg, and Katrin (Laverne) Flanagan, Gardar.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Johann and Kristjan.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Gardar Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tollefson Funeral Home, Edinburg, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Gardar Cemetery.
