Hulda E. Klein
Funeral services for Hulda E. Klein, 87, LaMoure, were held on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at Zoar Lutheran Church, LaMoure. Reverend John Estrem officiated. Mrs. Klein died on Friday, January 25, 2002 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure.
Hulda Elfreida Satreaas, daughter of Elling and Larsine (Vadstein) Satreaas, was born on November 14, 1914 on the family farm northeast of LaMoure, where she grew up. She attended school in Gladstone Township. She was baptized and confirmed at High Prairie Lutheran Church near LaMoure. She graduated from LaMoure HIgh School and attended Capital Commercial College in Bismarck. She spent one year working in aircraft and shipyards during World War II. Hulda held positions at the A.S.C. office in LaMoure and the F.H.A. office in Ellendale. She also worked for Froedert Grain and Malting Company and the grain exchange in Minneapolis.
On November 19, 1950, she married Albert Klein at High Prairie Lutheran Church near LaMoure. The couple continued to farm in the area until their retirement. She entered the St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, in November 2001. She was a very active member of the Zoar Lutheran Church, LaMoure.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Klein, LaMoure; three sons, Bruce (Crystal) Klein, LaMoure, Dr. Dale (Debbie) Klein, Mandan, and Gary (Sheila) Klein, LaMoure; four sisters, Ann Busche and Ruby Klima, both of LaMoure, Margrit Bjerkrem, Great Falls, Mont., and Hardis Kupfer, Bismarck; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Art Satreaas.
Pallbearers for the funeral were all of Hulda’s grandchildren.
Music was provided by organist Jan Hird, pianist Marcia Young and soloist Darlene Olson.
Interment at Rosehill Cemetery, LaMoure.
Dahlstrom Funeral Home, LaMoure, was in charge of arrangements.

Elma L. Kemmer
Elma L. Kemmer, 79, of Enderlin, N.D. died Tuesday, February 12 in Hillcrest Manor, Enderlin. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 16, at 2:00 p.m. in first Lutheran Church, Enderlin. Armstrongs Funeral Home of Enderlin is in charge of the arrangements.
Arnold L. Anderson
Memorial services for Arnold L. Anderson, 70, Lisbon, were held on Friday, February 15, 2002 at the North Dakota Veterans Home, Lisbon. Reverend David Isaacson officiated. Mr. Anderson died Saturday, February 9, 2002 at the VA Hospital, Fargo.
Arnold L. Anderson, son of Joseph and Annie (Siem) Anderson, was born on February 27, 1931 in rural Pelican Rapids, Minn. He attended school in rural Pelican Rapids and in the city of Pelican Rapids. He joined the U.S. Army and served from 1951-1954, spending 17 months in Korea. After returning from the Army, he worked on a grain farm in Montana for a couple years. He then worked in the Fergus Falls, Minn. area. After moving to Moorhead, he did construction and cement work as well as truck driving. He was employed at St. Luke’s Hospital from 1966-1976 as a janitor and engineer.
In 1976, he married his wife, Joanne. He then worked as a feed plant employee in Mapleton. She died in 1990. He then entered the North Dakota Veterans Home on May 16, 1996.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joanne Anderson; and five brothers.
Music was provided by organist Borge Bohlken and soloist Jan Hansen.
Inurnment at Pelican Rapids, Minn.
Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, was in charge of arrangements.

Delno Weaver
Funeral services for Delno Weaver, 76, Huron, S.D., were held on Friday, February 15, 2002 at Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon. Reverend David Isaacson officiated. Mr. Weaver died on Monday, February 11, 2002 at the Huron Nursing Home in Huron, S.D.
Delno Weaver, son of James and Lucille (Simon) Weaver, was born on December 19, 1925 in Elliott. He was raised in Elliott and attended Elliott school.
On January 17, 1946, he married Mildred Stroh in Lisbon. He farmed near Englevale for seven years. He then moved to Devils Lake and worked for Collins Construction of Fargo. In 1960, he moved to Verona where he farmed. In 1962, he moved to Huron, S.D., where he continued to farm. In 1996, he entered the Huron Nursing Home.
He is survived by two daughters, Connie Tollefson, Devils Lake and Karen Weaver, Devils Lake; one granddaughter; two brothers, Don (Ramona) Weaver, Carthage, S.D. and C.R. (Grace) Weaver, Kalispell, Mont. He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Weaver; and two sisters, Hattie and Marion Weaver.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Jerry Humphrey, Ronnie Wagner, John Otterson, Mary Will, Mike Weaver and Orin Bean.
Music was provided by pianist Mary Jo Smith and soloist Charlene Rondestvedt.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.

Margaret M. Musgjerd
Funeral services for Margaret M. Musgjerd, 96, Lisbon, were held on Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon. Reverend Norman Anderson and Reverend David Killeen officiated. Mrs. Musgjerd died on Friday, February 8, 2002 at Lisbon Medical Center, Lisbon.
Margaret Rourke, daughter of William and Anna (Nelson) Rourke, was born on September 9, 1905 in rural Osnabrock, N.D. She grew up there and attended Osnabrock school, graduating from high school there. She then attended and graduated from Dakota Business College, Fargo.
On June 25, 1930, she married Wilhelm Musgjerd in Langdon. Following their marriage, they lived in Grenora, N.D. Wilhelm died on November 20, 1953. After he husband’s death, she helped out at the Grenora Food Market of which she was part-owner. In 1993, she moved to Lisbon. She was an active member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Grenora. She held many offices. She was also active in Homemakers and originated the Sunny Susies 4-H Club in Grenora. She was a member of the Lisbon Mothers’ Club.
She is survived by two sons, William (Judith) Musgjerd, Plattsmouth, Neb., and David (Barbara) Musgjerd, LaCrosse, Wis.; one daughter, Mary (Wally) Kaczmarski, Lisbon; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Olive Vorhees, Oakdale, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilhelm Musgjerd; and three brothers, Gordon, Joseph and Howard Rourke.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Stan Reep, James O’Rourke, Leslie Rourke, Keith Rourke, Eric Musgjerd, Brian Sittig, Michael Kaczmarski and Aric Kaczmarski.
Music was provided by organist Cindy Hagel and soloist Jan Hansen.
Interment at Sunset Cemetery, Grenora, N.D.

Florence V. Wright
Funeral services for Florence V. Wright, 103, Bismarck, were held on Monday, February 11, 2002 at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Reverend Jake Kincaid officiated. Mrs. Wright died on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 in a Bismarck care center.
Florence Veda Fairbanks, daughter of Lyman and Helma (Arves) Fairbanks, was born on December 11, 1898 in Lisbon. She attended Lisbon country school and she would help little Norwegian children learn English at Fort Ransom. She and her sisters moved to Bismarck where she worked in the bonding department of the State Insurance Commission.
On December 3, 1938, she married Thurman Wright in Bismarck. They lived in the Washington area while Thurman worked for the Reconstruction Finance Corp. Florence volunteered with the Red Cross and Bundles for Britain. Thurman died in 1951. Florence then joined here sister, Margaret, to operate “Inga’s Shop”. In 1969, her three sisters made Bismarck their home and Florence worked at the Secretary of State’s office until her retirement. She was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church, a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Bell Makers until 1996. She was also active in the Democratic Party and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. She entered the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center on July 18, 1996.
She is survived by one niece and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Wright; four nieces and four sisters, Belle, Margaret, Laura and Hildred.
Interment will be in the spring at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, was in charge of arrangements.

Alice L. Krein
Funeral services for Alice L. Krein, 90, Lisbon, were held on Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Goetz Funeral Home Chapel, Washburn. Reverend David L. Johnson officiated. Mrs. Krein died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at the Parkside Lutheran Nursing Home, Lisbon.
Alice Luella Ringheim, daughter of Julius and Carrie (Johnson) Ringheim was born on July 16, 1911 on the family farm south of Garrison, N.D. She attended rural school and then helped on her parents farm.
In 1930, she married Burt Thompson. On September 3, 1960 she married Gustaf Krein at Bismarck and they made their home in Wilton. Following Gust’s death on November 23, 1982, Alice moved to Underwood to be near her daughter. She became a resident of the Parkside Lutheran Nursing Home at Lisbon on January 11, 1996.
She is survived by one daughter, Inez Brown, Underwood; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Burt Thompson and Gustaf Krein; infant daughter, Myrtle Mae Thompson; two brothers, Ivan Ringheim and Clarence Ringheim; two sisters, Irene and Minnie and son-in-law, Lloyd Brown.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Terry Brown, Bonnie Brown, Karen Kantola, Jennea Kantola, Craig Kantola, Charlie Kantola, Justin Brown and Philip Brown.
Interment at Riverview Cemetery, Washburn, N.D.
Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, was in charge of arrangements.

John F. Doehler
Funeral services for John F. Doehler, 72, Perth, N.D., were held on Thursday, March 14, 2002, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Bisbee. Reverend Tom Graner officiated. Mr. Doehler died Monday, March 11, 2002 at Altru Medical Center, Grand Forks.
John F. Doehler, son of Devillo and Georgianna (Svec) Doehler was born on July 15, 1929, at Rolette. He was raised and educated in the Perth area. He has lived on the farm near Perth all his life.
On June 10, 1954, he married Bette Ann Orness, in Bisbee. He was a farmer, owned and operated John Doehler & Son Seed Cleaning Plant. Mr. Doehler was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 65 years and a member of the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Bette Doehler; one son John Paul Doehler (Melanie), LaMoure; one grandson; one brother, Donald (Inez) Doehler, Perth; and one sister, Melvina (Lavern) Klier, Aloha, Ore.
Pallbearers for the funeral were John Grann, Randy Starr, Larry Starr, Sidney Boe, Dan Roe, Pat Broderick, Doug Shockman, Steve Shockman, and Lloyd Jay.
Music was provided by organist Yvonne Edwards and soloist Ben Nelson and the Church Choir.
Interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Niewoehner Funeral Home, Inc., Rolla, was in charge of arrangements.
