Marcella Klocke
Funeral services for Marcella Klocke, 79, New Rockford, N.D., were held on Thursday, October 9, 2003. Reverend Bernard Pfau and Reverend Frank Schuster officiated. Mrs. Klocke died Monday, October 6, 2003 at her home.
Marcella Klocke, daughter of Jacob and Mathilda (Hartl) Steinbach was born on July 6, 1924 at New Rockford. She attended Munster Township school and graduated from the St. James Academy at New Rockford.
On May 25, 1943, she married Pete Klocke at New Rockford. They farmed southeast of New Rockford, until his death on June 4, 1987. Marcella moved back to her family farm in Munster Township in 1997. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Circle, both at New Rockford.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin Klocke, Enderlin, Greg (Heather) Klocke, New Rockford; five daughters, Deb Bailiff, Florence, Ariz., Annette (Art) Jordan, Howard Lake, Minn., Cindy (Paul) Scrodin, Rochester, Minn., Kim (Don) Bradley, Rochester, Minn., Penny (Jerry) Schuster, New Rockford; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Luella) Steinbach, New Rockford, Robert (Marion) Steinbach, Bismarck, John (Elizabeth) Steinbach, New Rockford; one sister, Sister Geraldine of Sacred Heart Convent, Fargo. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Judy Sheehan, one grandson and her parents.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Martin Sheehan, Art Jordan, Paul Scrodin, Don Bradley, Jerry Schuster, Rod Johnson. Honorary bearers were all her grandchildren.
Music was provided by organist Naomi Allmaras and special music by Heather Klock, song leader and Kirsten Georgeson, violinist.
Interment at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, New Rockford.
Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford, was in charge of arrangements.

Reverend Arthur Larson
Funeral services for Reverend Arthur C. Larson, 65, Milnor, were held on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at Milnor Lutheran Church, Milnor. Bishop Rick Foss officiated. A second service was held Thursday, October 2, 2003 at Clearwater Lutheran Church, Shevlin, Minn. Reverend Naomi Garber officiated. Reverend Larson died Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo after a long illness with cancer.
Arthur Calvin Larson, son of Alfred O. and Pearl (Traaseth) Larson was born on February 17, 1938 in Shevlin, Minn. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1956, Concordia College in 1960, and Lutheran Theological Seminary in 1965.
On October 17, 1959, he married Sylvia Marlis Borud at Bagley, Minn. In September of 1960, Arthur started in the ministry as a licensed lay pastor for two years. Ordination into the Holy Ministry took place at Shevlin, Minn. June 13, 1965. After ordination, he served parishes in Badger, Minn., Kindred, Bryant and Vienna, S.D. and Nashwauk, Minn. In 1997 Pastor Larson began serving Milnor Lutheran Church and later Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural DeLamere. Over the years, Pastor Larson has worked in Conference Training events for Parish Education and Council Member Training. He also served on numerous conference and synod committees. He was a member of the Red River Valley Woodcarvers Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two sons, Calvin (Carrie) Larson, Shevlin, Minn. and Marcus (Debra) Larson, Hickson; one sister, Phyllis (Arlan) Johnson, Red Wing, Minn.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister.
Interment at Clearwater Lutheran Cemetery, Shevlin, Minn.

Gertrude Bleecker
Funeral services for Gertrude Bleecker, 76, Osseo, Minn., were held on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon. Reverend David Killeen officiated. Mrs. Bleecker died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at Berkshire Nursing Home, Osseo, Minn.
Gertrude Bleecker, daughter of John and Anna (DeGier) Methorst was born on October 9, 1926 in rural Milnor. She attended school in rural Milnor. Gertrude worked as a waitress in Fargo before her marriage.
On May 9, 1948, she married Donald L. Bleecker in Lisbon. They lived in Milnor from 1948 to 1955. They moved to rural Lisbon. In 1959 they moved into Lisbon. She worked at Kelsen’s Bakery from 1965 to 1971. They moved to Ellendale where she worked at the bakery. In 1972 they moved to Litchfield, Minn. where she worked at the bakery. She moved to Osseo, Minn. in 1984 where she worked at McDonald’s until November 2002. He died December 24, 1985.
She is survived by one son, Gerald (Renae) Bleecker, Stacy, Minn.; three daughters Carolyn (Roger) Klemetson, Blaine, Minn., Donna Bleecker, Zimmerman, Minn., Ann (Duane) Unterburger, Delano, Minn.; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nelly (Gerald) Nelson, Fargo and Mary Heath, Milnor. She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Johnny.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Travis Klein, Ryan Unterburger, Craig Bleecker, Jeff Augustson, Mike McCoy, and Pat McCoy.
Music was provided by organist Jan Hansen and soloist Joan Montgomery.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, was in charge of arrangements.

Joseph A. Jameson
Funeral services for Joseph A. Jameson, Jr., 82, West Fargo, were held on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at the Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo. Reverend D. Matthew Stith officiated. Mr. Jameson died Sunday, October 12, 2003 in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Joseph A. Jameson, son of Joseph and Bernice (Moore) Jameson was born on October 18, 1920 at Sioux City, Iowa. He attended school in Sioux City until 1929, when the family moved to West Fargo. Mr. Jameson attended school in West Fargo and in 1939, he graduated from high school. He went on to attend the N.D. Agriculture College (NDSU). He entered the U.S. Navy in 1942 and was later discharged in 1946.
On August 10, 1947, he married Renee Olson near Hawley, Minn. He worked for Armour Co. in West Fargo until it closed in 1958. He then worked at Gate City Bank as a loan officer for 25 years retiring in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Renee Jameson; one daughter, Mary Jo Dixon, Moorhead, Fargo; two sons, Joe (Mari An) Jameson, Akron, Pa. and Drew (Kim) Jameson, Sheldon; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Betty Byrd, Tacoma, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Donald.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.

Milo Mesker
Funeral services for Milo Mesker, 55, Felton, Minn., were held on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen, Minn. Pastor Jeff McCracken officiated. Mr. Mesker died Friday, October 10, 2003 at Maryhill Manor, under the care of Hospice.
Milo Mesker, son of Lloyd and Anna Louise (Orwald) Mesker was born on May 21, 1948, in Ada, Minn. He grew up in the Syre, Minn. area and at the age of two moved with his family to Borup, Minn., where they lived for several years. He later moved with his family to Hawley, Minn. where he attended school In his late teens, he began working in construction and was employed by several local contractors.
In the early 1970s, he married Bev Crowll. They lived in Felton. Due to his health, he was unable to work since the late 1980s. Milo recently entered the Maryhill Manor.
He is survived by a son, Wade Mesker, Gillette, Wyo.; three brothers, Marvin Mesker, Felton, Minn., Orell (Carol) Mesker, Ulen, Minn., and David Mesker, Pine River, Minn.; and one sister, Lois (Ken) Ziegler) Georgetown, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melford and Charles, three sisters, Audrey Albertson, Delores Wisk and JoAnn Hennen, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Donnie Wisk, Marvin Tollefsrud, Arvin Syverson, Steve Holm, Jeff Dauner and Jimmy Folden.
Music was provided by organist Carol Lockhart and soloist Larry Longtine.
Interment at Syre Lutheran Cemetery, rural Twin Valley, Minn.

James E. Reidburn
Funeral services for James E. Reidburn, 82, Jamestown, were held on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown. Reverend David Thompson officiated. Mr. Reidburn died Friday, October 10, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.
James E. Reidburn, son of Edward R. and Lulu (Murray) Reidburn was born on August 24, 1921 on the Reidburn farm southeast of Lisbon. He attended rural school one mile east of Lisbon and graduated from Lisbon High School. Mr. Reidburn enlisted in the U.S. Army at Ft. Snelling, Minn. on April 8, 1942 in the 95th Division Infantry, 377 Regiment, Company C and Service Company. He was discharged on November 21, 1945.
In August 1946, he married Phyllis Anderson. He returned home to live in Lisbon until 1965 when he moved to Jamestown. Mr. Reidburn worked as a Hatchery Assistant for the North Dakota Game & Fish Department in Lisbon and Jamestown for a total of 35 years.
He married Bertha Hoffmann in 1970. They lived at Spiritwood Lake, N.D. and he retired in 1987. James was a life member of the V.F.W., American Legion, and the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown where he was a deacon for six years.
He is survived by four sons, James A. (Linda) Reidburn, Phoenix, Ariz., Steve (Margaret) Reidburn, Jamestown, Dana (Peggy) Reidburn, Jamestown and Richard (Eileen) Reidburn, Jamestown; one step-son, Kenneth (Barbara) Hoffman, Grafton, three grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one great grandchild; one step great-grandchild; special friend, Bertha Schmidt, Jamestown; two sisters, Florence Mae Giebel, Minneapolis, and Dorothy Caps, Sun City. Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bertha Hoffmann and one son, Jack.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.

Mavis C. Dybdahl
Funeral services for Mavis C. Dybdahl, 83, Fergus Falls, Minn., were held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the Vertin Munson Funeral Home in Wahpeton. Pastor Mike Gustafson officiated. Miss Dybdahl died Friday, October 10, 2003 at Fergus Falls.
Mavis Caroline Dybdahl, daughter of Carl and Inga (Wickoren) Dybdahl was born on June 26, 1920 at McLeod. She attended school at McLeod-Salund District, graduating from Wyndmere High School in 1937. She moved to West Fargo and worked for Potters Cafe for about eight years. She then worked at the Union Stockyards in West Fargo as a Clerical Secretary. She then worked for Riddles Office Equipment in Moorhead also known as Hannahers Office Equipment for 25 years as office manager until she retired in 1982. She continued to live in West Fargo and spent time at Lake Lida, Pelican Rapids, Minn. She was a member of the McLeod Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sisters, Opal Kuruc, Wahpeton, Adeline Severson, York Manor, Breckenridge; sister-in-law, Mazie Dybdahl, Wyndmere and her good friend, Betty Nesemeier. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Morris Dybdahl.
Interment at Freeman Cemetery, rural McLeod.
Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, was in charge of arrangements.

Rodney K. Olson
Funeral services for Rodney K. Olson, 56, Phoenix, Ariz., were held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Mr. Olson died Wednesday, October 1, 2003.
Rodney K. Olson, son of Kenneth and Ester Olson was born on October 20, 1946. He lived in Fargo for many years and moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1982.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Brad) Vandervort and Shannon Beck; two sons, Todd (Holly) Olson, and Arthur (Yolanda) Whitlock; and ten grandchildren.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, was in charge of arrangements.
