Wilma F. Bailey
Geneva resident Wilma Faye (Baker) Bailey, 66, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, in Geneva.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Geneva with the Rev. Brian Kottas officiating. Burial will be in the Carleton City Cemetery. Visitation began at 1 p.m. today at Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva.
Mrs. Bailey was born July 30, 1933, to Frank and Thelma (Lichty) Baker in Carleton.
Survivors are two sons, Steve and Alan, both of Geneva; her mother of Geneva; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Geneva Rescue Unit or the church.
Peter F. Dunbar
Yuma, Colo., resident Peter Franklyn Dunbar, 97, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Yuma Life Care Center in Yuma.
Services were Thursday at First Southern Baptist Church in Yuma with the Rev. Michael Maynard officiating. Burial was in the Yuma Cemetery. Baucke Funeral Service of Yuma was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are one daughter, Eloris Cash of Hastings; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Helen M. Kauk
Former Tribland area resident Helen Margaret Kauk, 75, of Grand Island died Thursday, June 15, 2000, in Omaha.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Island with the Rev. C. Roger Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul and 9 a.m. until services Monday at the church.
Mrs. Kauk was born Jan. 2, 1925, to Richard and Margaret (Weikum) Trautman on a farm near Harvard. She attended rural school near Harvard and then Sutton High School, where she graduated in 1942. She then taught school near Harvard for two years. She married Morris Kauk at Harvard on April 16, 1944. They farmed north of Saronville. Later, after her husband was discharged from the U.S. Army, they moved to the Farwell area and farmed there. They retired in 1986 and moved to Grand Island where they lived with their daughter, Betty Jo. Her husband died Sept. 25, 1998.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Platt-Duetsche, both of Grand Island, and a women's card club at Farwell.
Survivors are four sons, Melvin of Lincoln, Russell of Colorado Springs, Colo., Randy of Farwell and Howard of Holdrege; four daughters, Beverly Hurt and Bonnie Kosmicki, both of Dannebrog, Betty Jo Kauk of Grand Island and Barb Simmons of Boelus; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one brother and an infant sister.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Lamont Kimble
Hastings resident Lamont Kimble, 86, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.
Services are 2 p.m. today at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton with the Rev. Ken West officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Fullerton Cemetery.
Mr. Kimble was born Sept. 14, 1913, to Frank and Mary L. (Hawkins) Kimble in Cedar Bluffs. He grew up in the Fullerton and Central City areas, attending rural schools. He then lived in Fremont and played the saxophone in various bands, including one featuring Lawrence Welk. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942-46 and was a prisoner of war in Germany for two years. He then moved to Decatur, Ill., where he worked as a carpentry contractor for 15 years. He married Ruby Gober on March 3, 1984. They lived in Central City and Grand Island before moving to Hastings in 1994.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Hastings.
Survivors are his wife; one brother, Harold of Greeley, Colo.; and one sister, Theresa May of Schuyler.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
LaMont 'Charlie' Kimble
Services for Hastings resident LaMont "Charlie" Kimble, 86, who died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. Burial with military rites will be in the Fullerton Cemetery. Visitation is until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Clarence M. Johansen
Great Bend, Kan., resident Clarence M. Johansen, 79, died Friday, June 16, 2000, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kan.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home chapel in Great Bend with the Rev. Dick Near officiating. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; three daughters, including Carol Ann Fingeret of Hastings; three sisters; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Fund.
Robert L. Hager Sr.
Former area resident Robert L. "Mr. BeBo" Hager Sr., 78, of Danville, Calif., died May 17, 2000, in Walnut Creek, Calif., of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Services were May 20 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Danville. Committal was in the church columbarium. Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel in Walnut Creek was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hager was born June 4, 1921, to Howard and Mary Hager in Pennsylvania. He moved from Philadelphia to Hastings where he lived for 14 years. He received his bachelor's degree in business from Hastings College. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Betty June Schleiger. He taught high school in Holstein and Bladen. He also was a salesman for Swan's Furniture in Hastings. In 1960 he moved to Pleasant Hill, Calif., and in 1972 he moved to Danville. He worked at BeBo Interiors in Walnut Creek.
He was a member of St. Timothy's Church and Men's Club in Danville, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Aahmes Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, Quetzalcoatl, VFW, American Legion, Bay Area Thunderbird Owners Club, Grandfathers Club, Kentucky Colonels, E. Clampus Vitus, Sheriff's Posse, San Francisco Floor Covering Club and Carpetbaggers Poker Club.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Marcia Estrella of Danville; one son, Robert Jr. of California; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association, the church or Shriner's Hospital for Children in Sacramento, Calif.
Wayne Dudgeon
Hebron resident Wayne Dudgeon, 88, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, in Hebron.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home chapel in Hebron. Burial will be in the Carleton City Cemetery. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dudgeon was born Jan. 4, 1912, to Alexander and Margaret (Bell) Dudgeon at Carleton. He attended the District 12 Coon Ridge School near Carleton. On Oct. 5, 1934, he married Orintha Beavers at Carleton. He farmed in the Carleton area. He also owned and operated a fertilizer and propane business in Carleton until retiring in 1974.
Survivors are his wife; on sister, Mary Henkel of Hebron; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sons; five brothers; and three sisters.
Memorials have been established.
Archie E. Johnson
Hastings resident Archie E. Johnson, 83, of 315 S. Baltimore Ave. died Friday, June 16, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Butler-Volland Funeral Home chapel in Hastings with the Rev. Dale Phillips officiating. Burial with military rites will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 2, 1917, to Lewis E. and Verol (Bales) Johnson in Sioux City, Iowa. From 1943-46 he served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 594th Joint Assault Signal Company in the Philippines. He married Maxine Parker. They later divorced. On April 30, 1950, he married Patricia A. Maul in Laramie, Wyo. He was chief custodian at Upland High School in California. He retired and moved to Hastings from Hemet, Calif., in 1976.
He received the American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Sandra Carson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; three sons, Steve, James, and Don, all of Hastings; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the St. Elizabeth Burn Center in Lincoln.
A.J. Krebsbach
Rosary and services for Hastings resident A.J. Krebsbach, 90, of Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion, who died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Perkins, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hastings with the Rev. Michael K. Hastings resident Bernhardt J. Spielman, 85, of 617 S. Denver Ave. died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

Steven R. Thomas
Former Clay Center resident Steven Ray Thomas, 55, of York died Saturday, June 3, 2000, in Omaha.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in York with the Rev. Ralph Ford officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Greenwood Cemetery in York. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Metz Mortuary in York.
Dr. Thomas was born Jan. 16, 1945, to C. Dale and Berneda A. (Fitzke) Thomas in Norman, Okla. He graduated from Clay Center High School and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. On June 4, 1967, he married Cheryl A. Rudat in Columbus. In 1970 he graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical School. He served in the U.S. Air Force at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., and was a major in the Air Force Medical Corps for three years in Bitburg, Germany. In 1974 he joined the York Medical Clinic in York. He was a physician at the Nebraska Center for Women in York for several years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clay Center American Legion, York County Economic Development Corp., and the Nebraska and American Academy of Family Physicians. He was an Eagle Scout and Cub Scout leader and coached Legion Baseball and girls softball. He served on the York Board of Education, was past president of the York Medical Clinic and past chief of staff at the York General Hospital.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Christopher of Hickham Air Force Base, Hawaii; three daughters, Paige Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alexis Thomas of New York and Whitney Thomas of Omaha; his parents of Clay Center; one brother, Greg of Enid, Okla.; and one sister, Sheila Grummert of McPherson, Kan.

Dalton W. Haubold
Former Tribland area resident Dalton Woodrow Haubold, 85, of Aurora, Colo., died Monday, April 3, 2000, in Aurora.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Macon Union Cemetery east of Macon. Layton Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Haubold was born March 17, 1915, to Wilhelm and Johanna (Grams) Haubold in Campbell. He attended schools in Campbell and a country school near the family farm. In 1934 he moved to Denver and attended Opportunity School. In June 1938, he married Mary Frances Provart. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a tool and die maker for Wright & McGill Co. in Colorado for 28 years and was supervisor for many sections. He retired from Redfield Gunsight Co. in Colorado where he was a toolmaker first class.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Gary of Yorba Linda, Calif.; two daughters, Joanne Longwith of Carbon, Utah, and Sharon Hayne of Idaho; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Frank C. Eighmy
Minden resident Frank C. Eighmy, 89, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at his home.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Layton Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Donald Becker officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Eighmy was born July 23, 1910, to William and Bertha (Mack) Eighmy north of Kenesaw. He started driving truck for his uncle at age 15. He married Freida Johansen. She died in 1937. On April 1, 1939, he married Mayme Valentine. They lived in Minden. He was a farmer and also worked for the Rural Electrification Association. He drove truck for Stadler Brothers, Youngson, Nickel & Olsen and Olsen's, all in Minden. He continued to drive truck for several years after retirement.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Marilyn Fischer of Kenesaw, Georgianna Klusman of Holstein and Brenda Farrow of Minden; one son, Charles of Lincoln; one brother, Clyde of South San Francisco; one sister, Maxine Lessa of San Leandro, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son; two sisters; and two brothers.
Hazel Pockrandt
Minden resident Hazel Pockrandt, 80, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden with the Rev. Donald Becker officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Layton Funeral Home in Minden.
Miss Pockrandt was born March 20, 1920, to Ludwig and Louisa (Koch) Pockrandt in Kearney County. She lived with her family on a farm and later moved into Minden.
Survivors are two sisters, Clara Pockrandt of Minden and Erna Ruhter of Seal Beach, Calif.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
E. Dorothea Hargleroad
Hastings resident E. Dorothea Hargleroad, 93, of 900 E. B St. died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hastings with the Rev. Barry Rempp officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Omaha resident Helen A. (Mucha) Kocourek, 79, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in Omaha.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha. Burial will be at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha. Visitation started at 2 p.m. today with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors are one daughter; one son, Milo of Hastings; four sisters; and four grandchildren.
Victor A. Tobler
Harvard resident Victor A. Tobler, 82, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at the Harvard Rest Haven in Harvard.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Harvard with the Rev. Marvin Coffey officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Tobler was born Dec. 29, 1917, to A.J. "Ed" and Clara L. (Snider) Tobler in Smith County, Kan. On Nov. 2, 1940, he married Rhoda Hughes in Smith Center. In 1951 he moved to Harvard. He was a hay dealer for 50 years.
Survivors are his wife; four sons, James of Orleans, Jarold of Grand Island and Reno and Sheldon, both of Harvard; one half sister, Peggy Bray of California; one half brother, Pat Clark of Foster, Ky.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the Harvard Fire Department.
E. Dorothea Hargleroad
Hastings resident E. Dorothea (Gettman) Hargleroad, 93, of 900 E. B St. died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

Mrs. Hargleroad was born Nov. 26, 1906, to John H. and Mabel (Bauer) Gettman in North Platte. In 1909 she moved to Hastings and graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 1923. On Sept. 24, 1930, she married Corwin J. Hargleroad. She was a bookkeeper for Dutton Lainson Co. in Hastings until 1933 and then for Hargleroad Transport Service in Hastings.
She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 39 and Shrine Hospital Auxiliary. She was Mrs. Nebraska Motor Carrier of the Year in 1940.
Survivor is her husband.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Harlin A. Vieselmeyer
Services for Hebron resident Harlin A. Vieselmeyer, 83, who died Dec. 19, 1999, in Lincoln, are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler with the Rev. Duane Fahr officiating. Burial will be at the Deshler City Cemetery with military rites conducted by Halfman American Legion Post No. 352. There is no visitation. Ahrendts Funeral Home of Deshler is in charge of arrangements.
Frank J. Boudreau
Campbell resident Frank J. Boudreau, 99, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at Grandview Manor Nursing Home in Campbell.
Wake services are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and services are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Campbell with the Rev. James Schrader officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery east of Campbell. Campbell Funeral Home of Campbell is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boudreau was born Oct. 5, 1900, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Srault) Boudreau in Montreal, Canada. In April 1925, he married Viola M. LaVoie. He worked at the power plant for the village of Campbell for more than 30 years. On Dec. 15, 1975, his wife died.
He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors are one son, Lendell of Browns Mills, N.J.; one brother, Leon of Kearney; two sisters, Marian Choquette of Sterling, Colo., and Rita Soucie of Longmont, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be given to the church.
