John W. Keen
Former Minden resident John W. Keen, 96, of Kearney died Saturday, Oct. 21, 1995, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Sharon L. Dunn
Former Hastings resident Sharon Lee (Streck) Dunn, 59, of Alma died Sunday, Oct. 22, 1995, at her home.
Rosary is 7 p.m. Tuesday and services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alma with the Rev. Thomas Wiedel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Banta-Torry Funeral Home of Alma is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dunn was born June 11, 1936, to Carl and Hazel Tresa (Houston) Streck in Hastings. She began her education in Hastings. In 1947, she moved to Alma with her family. She graduated from Alma High School in 1954. She attended Kearney State Teachers College for two years. She taught in rural schools in southwestern Harlan County. On May 22, 1955, she married Stanley Lee Dunn in Alma. She worked in various places including Alma City Office and Colonial Villa Samaritan Center. She was a cook at Alma Public School and an assembly line inspector at Becton Dickinson Consumer Products in Holdrege at the time of her death. Her husband died July 13, 1984.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Altar Society and Alma Booster Club.
Survivors are two daughters, Susan Ashley of Alma and Shelly Dunn of Kearney; two sons, Steven of Stoughton, Wis., and Sam of Beaver City; two sisters, Sandra Rowe of Oxford and Cheryl Stone of Alma; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial has been established.
Ramona Price
Edgar resident Ramona (Heinrichs) Price, 66, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1995, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home chapel in Edgar with Ellen Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.
Mrs. Price was born March 25, 1929, to William and Edna (Hawkins) Heinrichs in Davenport. She grew up in Davenport and Edgar. She graduated from Edgar High School in 1947. On Nov. 11, 1947, she married Ervin "Sam" Price in Hastings. They lived in Harvard for 24 years where she worked for the Harvard Nursing Home. In 1988 they moved to Edgar. She worked at the Gambles Store in Edgar for a short time.
Survivors are her husband; one son, Jerry of Bothell, Wash.; her mother of Edgar; two sisters, Wanda Ray of Des Moines, Iowa, and Twila Nelson of Burlington, Wash.; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorials may be given to the family.
Zoe E. Hicks
Franklin resident Zoe E. Hicks, 95, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1995, at Franklin Nursing Center in Franklin.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Franklin with the Rev. Dale Sallans officiating. Burial will be in Riverton Cemetery at Riverton.
Visitation is until 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until services Saturday.
Mrs. Hicks was born Dec. 25, 1899, to Clyde and Mary Catherine (Roseborough) Hicks in Bloomington. She attended Riverton schools. On April 15, 1922, she married Archie V. Hicks in Phillipsburg, Kan. In 1946 they moved to Alma. She was employed at various stores. He died Jan. 1, 1970. She moved to Franklin in 1979.
She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Franklin.
Survivors are a daughter, Jeanine Fecht of Hildreth; two sons, A. Clifton Hicks of Lincoln and Don Hicks of Friend; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, one brother and four sisters.

Services for Herta C. Frank, 99, of Harvard who died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 1995, at Harvard Rest Haven are 11 a.m. Saturday at Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Harvard.
Thelma O. Durham
Former Hastings resident Thelma O. (Edwards) Durham, 88, of Fairfield, Ohio, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1995, at Woodridge Retirement Center in Fairfield.
Services were Sept. 23 at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home chapel in Armstrong, Iowa, with the Rev. John Werth officiating. Burial was in Armstrong Grove Cemetery in Armstrong.
Mrs. Durham was born June 1, 1907, to James and Hilda (Carlson) Edwards in Carmen, Ill. She married W.J. "Joe" Durham Oct. 18, 1931. They owned and operated the Durham Bakery in Hastings for many years. They moved to Cincinnati in April 1991.
She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church in Hastings.
Survivors are her husband; one son, James of Cincinnati; one sister, Lillian White of Topeka, Kan.; one brother, Raymond Edwards of Armstrong, Iowa; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Maude C. Hansen
Red Cloud resident Maude C. (Duval) Hansen, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 1995, at Heritage Care Center in Red Cloud.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Red Cloud with the Rev. Dennis R. Linton-Hendrick officiating. Burial will be in Red Cloud Cemetery. Simonson-Williams Funeral Home of Red Cloud is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hansen was born May 17, 1905, to Claude and Daisy (Wilson) Duval on the family farm northwest of Red Cloud. She attended rural School District 62. On May 18, 1926, she married Theodore McKinley Hansen in Smith Center, Kan. They farmed near Red Cloud. They retired in November 1978 and moved into Red Cloud.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Neighborly Neighbors FCE Club.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mae Koch of Spencer, Iowa, and Phyllis Vasquez of Seward; three sons, Elton and Wayne, both of Dorchester, and Phil of Red Cloud; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
A memorial fund has been established.
Cora F. Martindale
Smith Center, Kan., resident Cora F. (Kindred) Martindale, 95, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 1995, at Smith Center Community Care Center in Smith Center.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery at Smith Center with the Rev. Jim Chamblee officiating. Visitation is until noon Wednesday at Simmons Funeral Home chapel in Smith Center.
Mrs. Martindale was born Dec. 12, 1899, to Daniel B. and Sarah (Case) Kindred in Pleasant Township in Smith County, Kan. In 1918, she married Clarence Martindale. He died in 1976. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Hope Rebekah Lodge No. 47, both in Smith Center.
Survivors are one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Ray.
Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church.

Former Hastings resident Lucille A. Lanz Christensen, 90, died Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, at Lakeview Nursing Center in Grand Island.

Charles B. Henry Jr.
Hastings resident Charles B. Henry Jr., 50, of 627 S. Lincoln Ave. died Friday, Oct. 27, 1995, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Services were to be at 2 p.m. today at Butler-Volland Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David F. Bourek officiating. Burial was planned in Parkview Cemetery.
Mr. Henry was born Oct. 19, 1945, to Charles and Grace M. (Marshall) Henry in Hastings. He was a lifelong resident of Hastings and a general contractor. He married Sally Rundle. They later divorced.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Survivors are one daughter, Margaret Brooke Henry of Gainesville, Texas; one son, Charles Wesley of Gainesville; his mother of Hastings; five brothers, Carlos O.D. and Adam Charles, both of Lincoln, Arthur Charles Tommie of Grand Island, Nick Charles of Atkinson and Scott Charles of Omaha; four sisters, Charlene Henry of Hastings, Charlotte G. Henry and Charlotta Rose Henry, both of Omaha, and Sue Charles Marie Henry of Palm Bay, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
Anton G. Wolfe
Mankato, Kan., resident Anton G. Wolfe, 93, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 1995, at Jewell County Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Mankato.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kopsa Cemetery at Cuba, Kan., with the Rev. Thaddeus Hinkle officiating. Kramer Funeral Home of Mankato is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wolfe was born Aug. 12, 1902, to Anton G. and Katherine (Wolf) Wolfe in Glasco, Kan. He lived in Ottawa County, Kan., for 64 years. He was a retired farmer. On June 16, 1947, he married Lillian Houdek in Concordia, Kan.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Kayleen Avers of Hastings; and one grandchild.
Memorials may be given to Jewell County Hospital Long Term Care Unit.
Wayne D. Ferguson
Former Hardy resident Wayne D. Ferguson, 82, of Grandview Nursing Home in Campbell died Sunday, Oct. 29, 1995, at Franklin County Hospital in Franklin.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy Cemetery at Hardy with the Rev. Dale Bussinger officiating. Williams Funeral Home of Superior is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ferguson was born Oct. 9, 1913, to Albert and Elizabeth (Doyle) Ferguson on a farm near Guide Rock in Webster County. He graduated from Nelson High School in 1936. He ran a gas station on the Nebraska-Kansas state line. He worked for Hardy Co-op in Hardy from 1943-45. He then began farming with his brother in the Hardy area. In 1963, he married Ada Fern Kinder. His wife died Sept. 29, 1987.
Survivors are two stepsons, Julius Kline of Miami, Okla., and Darrell Kline of Cabot, Ark.; one stepdaughter, June Moore of Grand Island; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by four brothers.
Esther M. Robertshaw
Hastings resident Esther Mary Robertshaw, 91, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 1995, at Good Samaritan Village Villa Grace.
Services and burial are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral with the Very Rev. John P. Bartholomew officiating. Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Robertshaw was born July 12, 1904, to Bruce and Fannie (Tobie) Yost in rural Adams County. She graduated from Hastings Senior High School and Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. She taught rural school in Adams County for several years. She married Glen Robertshaw. He died in October 1934. She was a secretary for the Hastings Superintendent of Schools for several years. She later was secretary for the Cameron Coal Co. in Hastings for 20 years.
She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Daughters of the American Revolution and Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors are one son, Richard of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Bessie Yost of Sun City, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
