Olson - Thelma C., 89, Lincoln, died Sunday (11/25/2001). Co-owner, Olson Feed & Coal and Motor-Way Transfer in Lincoln and Shamrock Trailer Park on 27th Street. During WWII, worked for U.S. Post Office, did routes between Lincoln and Beatrice and Lincoln and Fremont. Many times on return trip from Fremont to Lincoln brought many servicemen and wives and children of service personnel who had missed their trains in Fremont to Lincoln for railroad connections. Loved to travel; drove from coast to coast, border to border; traveled Alaska, Cuba, Hawaii and old Mexico. Upon retirement, moved to California, then Glen Heights, Texas, and returned to Lincoln four years ago. Married, 6/1/27/, in Brush, Colo.; moved to Lincoln in 1929.

Booth - Sue Peden, 91, Goodyear, Ariz., died 11/3/01. Retired, Lincoln Public School system. Born in sod house in middle of the Sandhills (11/10/1909) in Hoagland, second daughter of Joseph and Effie Peden. At age 17, having just finished high school, began teaching school in one-room schoolhouse near Raymond. Over the years, attended night and summer school classes at University of Nebraska, raised her family and earned her degree. Member, supporter, LEAR, NEA, NSEA, Nebraska Alumni Association and honorary life member of Nebraska congress of parents and teachers during her 44-year career. Loved teaching, but enjoyed her retirement years by traveling, collecting dolls, reading, needlework and corresponding with family and friends.
