He had a wide range of interests. He was 100 percent Welsh and served many ways in St. David's Welsh Society of Nebraska. Music was another of his interests, including church music, jazz and classical. Member of International Association of Jazz Educators and attended its annual meeting many years. Member, Eastridge Presbyterian Church, served as elder, deacon, choir member and on music committee. Active member, Lincoln Center Kiwanis Club, served on many committees.
