Paul C. Swanson, 88, of Stromsburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 7 at Midwest Covenant Home chapel with Pastor Duane Tweeten officiating. Burial was in the Stromsburg Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna of Stromsburg; two daughters, Sharon Gimpel of Aurora and Penny (Bob) Stevens of Juneau, Ala.; one son, Lionel (Jane) Swanson of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Theresa Bader Sopher, 92 of Aurora, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Fr. Craig Doty will officiated. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Giltner. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora with the Rosary at 7 p.m.

Sopher of Browns Mill, N.J.; one daughter, Lois Aldrige of New Lenox, Ill.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerome Bader of Hampshire, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Sopher of Aurora, Sr. Mary Barbara Bader of Grand Island and Mrs. Bernard McMahon of Giltner; many nieces and nephews.

Maurice Gust 'M.G.' Lindburg, 102 of Central City, formerly of Polk, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Polk with Rev. Roger Burke officiating. Burial was in the Laclede Cemetery near Polk.
Survivors include two sons, James 'Jim' (Gwen) Lindburg and Dale (Donna) Lindburg, both of Polk; one daughter, Jacqueline (Charles) Todara of Emmus, Penn.; one daughter-in-law, Kile Lindburg of Stromsburg; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
