'Corby' Corbitt
LOOMIS -- Greg "Corby" Corbitt, 45, of Loomis died April 10, 1999, at Lakeview Health and Rehab Center in Grand Island.
Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. May 29 at the Red, White and Blue Shoot and Rendezvous at Cairo.
Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home of Grand Island is in charge of arrangements.
James Moseman
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. -- James L. Moseman, 52, of Port Orchard, Wash., formerly of Grand Island, died Monday, April 26, 1999, at Port Orchard.
Services are pending at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home in Grand Island.
Corby Corbitt
Greg "Corby" Corbitt, 45, of Grand Island, formerly of Loomis, died Saturday, April 10, 1999, at Lakeview Nursing/Rehab Center in Grand Island.
Services will take place at a later date. He was cremated. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Corbitt was born Nov. 12, 1953, to Tom and Gloria (Smith) Corbitt at Grand Junction, Colo. He grew up and attended school in Holdrege. He entered the military police in 1972 and served during the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1974.
He was married
to Barbara "White Dove" Vise from 1977 to 1997. He was a craftsman who manufactured and refinished furniture, as well as creating Indian flutes.
He was an avid buckskinner and participated in regional and national Black Powder Rendezvous in the West and Midwest.
He moved to Park Place Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in March, then moved to Lakeview this month, living there until his death.
Survivors include his father of Lady Lake, Fla.; his mother, Gloria "Vonnie" Jensen of Minden; one daughter, Sturgis Corbitt of Holdrege; one brother, Brent "Mark" Jensen of Lincoln; one sister, Sandi Corbitt-Sears of Sterling, Colo. and one stepfather, Stanley Jensen of Minden.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
'Flossie' Michalski
Florence H. "Flossie" Michalski, 85, of Grand Island died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Leo's Catholic Church. The Rev. Jack Rademacher will officiate. The body will be cremated following the service. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home, with a 7 p.m. wake service. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mrs. Michalski was born Feb. 18, 1914, to Raymond and Minnie Marie (Stewart) Morris near Petersburg. She grew up and attended school near Petersburg. After her education, she helped on the family farm.
She married
Howard Carter on Feb. 18, 1932, in Boone County. The couple farmed near Albion.
She married
Ernest Michalski on March 25, 1971, in Grand Island. They worked as custodians at Grand Island City Hall until retiring in 1984. They then moved to Pletcher Terrace Apartments.
She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Eagles.
She enjoyed crafts and flowers.
Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Hoselton of Las Vegas; three grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-grand-grandchildren and two sisters, Darlene Hamblin of Mesa, Ariz. and Betty Morris of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; four brothers, Clarence, Ralph, Roy and Ray Morris and two sisters, Luella Mock and Helen McGreer.
Doris Riley
CENTRAL CITY -- Doris J. Riley, 66, of Central City died Friday, April 9, 1999, at Litzenburg Memorial County Hospital in Central City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Solt Funeral Home chapel in Central City. The Rev. Dale Sallans will officiate. Burial will be in Central City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mrs. Riley was born June 23, 1932, to Charles and Leona (Buskirk) Dewey at Hastings. She attended school in Hastings.
She married
Donald LeRoy Riley Sr. on Dec. 13, 1955. The couple moved to Central City, where she worked at Walgreen's, Fuller Brush Products and The Little Store. She also sold Tupperware and Avon products.
She was a member of Central City Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three sons, Terry of Springfield, Tenn., Donald Jr. of Central City and Patrick of Kearney; one daughter, Linda (Mrs. Randy) Kleve of Aurora; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Dewey of Althorne, Fla., Charles Dewey of Illinois and Dale Dewey of Arizona and two sisters, Betty Fisher of Hastings and Shirley Smith of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Gerald and Tim; one grandson, Paul; one brother, Dick and three infant brothers.
'Kuba' Stobbe
ASHTON -- Hubert S. "Kuba" Stobbe, 77, of Ashton died Friday, April 9, 1999, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. The Rev. Larry Coulter will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Loup City, with graveside military honors by American Legion Post 108 in Ashton.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with a 7:30 p.m. rosary. Memorials are suggested to Ashton Fire Department and Rescue Squad or donor's choice.

Pam Tibbs
Pamela L. "Pam" Tibbs, 40, of Grand Island died Monday, March 15, 1999, at St. Francis Memorial Health Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Tom Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., Thursday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1958, to Howard and Eulalia (Bigley) Tibbs. She grew up in Grand Island and attended St. Mary's and District 3 schools. She graduated from Grand Island Northwest in 1976.
She worked in day care, at Tobers for Fashions as a seamstress, Goodwill Industries and Country General. She enjoyed sewing, horses, her dog, Candy, and children.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral. She also volunteered to paint houses for Brush Up Grand Island.
Survivors include six sisters, Monica (Mrs. Daryll) Stearley of Ogallala, Cathie (Mrs. LeRoy) Arends, Nettie (Mrs. Robert) Ellington, Cindy (Mrs. Mike) Knopik and Dotty (Mrs. Jerome) Bilslend, all of Grand Island, and Judy (Mrs. Don) Shuda of Dannebrog; and two brothers, Earl Tibbs of Grand Island and Tim Tibbs of Cairo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ursula Enck.
Carol Young
Carol J. Young, 60, of Grand Island died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. The Rev. Eric Ford will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mrs. Young was born on May 5, 1938, at Watertown, S.D., to Herbert and Edna (Smith) Benner. She grew up and was educated at Watertown.
She married
Edgar A. Young on March 16, 1962, at Milbank, S.D. The couple lived at Watertown, S.D., Mitchell, S.D., Lincoln and moved to Grand Island in 1977. In Grand Island, she worked at Westside Lanes, Mary Moppets and Grace Lutheran Church as a child-care provider and also provided child care in her home.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Brent of Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Jody (Mrs. Chris) Wallace of Chicago; two grandsons; two brothers, Robert Benner of Watertown, S.D., and Harold of Washington state; and one sister, Dorothy Frandsen of Brookings, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce.
