Margaret Mosier
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Margaret L. Mosier, 77, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Spalding, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Spalding. Larry Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Dolce-Scheef Mortuary in Spalding.
Jessie Williamson
Jessie G. Williamson, 93, of Lakeview Rehab/Nursing Center died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williamson was born on Sept. 18, 1904, at Prince Edward Island, Canada. She grew up in Canada and came to the United States in 1926.
She married
James S. Williamson on Feb. 22, 1930, at Louisville, Ky. They lived in Grand Island following their marriage.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Williamson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Robert Williamson of Plant City, Fla., four grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, James Jr.; and one sister.
Otto Amos
SARGENT - Otto Amos, 65, of Sargent died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Free Church in Sargent. The Rev. Walter Collins will officiate. Burial will be in the Dry Valley cemetery south of Sargent.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

'Red' Hagan Jr.
GIBBON - Virgil "Red" Hagan Jr., 54, of Gibbon died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gibbon Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Flynn will officiate. Burial will be in the Gibbon Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Godberson Mortuary in Gibbon.
Memorials are suggested to the Gibbon Emergency Unit, the church or the family.
Mr. Hagan was born on Oct. 20, 1943, in Lexington to Virgil and Mildred (Herganrader) Hagan. He spent his early childhood in Gibbon with his grandparents, Conrad and Katherine Herganrader, and attended Gibbon school through the sixth grade. He moved to Mitchell, where he lived with his mother and stepfather and continued his education.
He married
Irene Callahan on Jan. 8, 1963, in Kearney, and they moved to Gibbon. He worked for 30 years as an over-the-road truck driver and most recently was employed by Ace Irrigation of Kearney.
He was a member of the Gibbon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Terry of Lincoln and Brian, Vincent and Casey, all of Gibbon; four grandchildren; his father, of Kearney; four brothers, Larry of Morrill, Corky and Greg, both of Kansas, and Randy Strauch of Utah; and two sisters, Connie Hinds of Kearney and Gloria Adkins of Ash Fork, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah; a granddaughter; his mother; and both sets of grandparents.
JoAnn Merrill
CENTRAL CITY -- JoAnn Elizabeth Merrill, 65, of Central City died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at St. Francis Skilled Care in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Central City. The Rev. Nelson Newman will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Grand Island.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. vigil service, Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mrs. Merrill was born on April 4, 1933, in Wallace to Newton and Margaret (Karp) Lenhart. The family lived in Wray, Colo., until she was 4 years old. They then moved to McCook. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic School and graduated from McCook High School in 1952. She worked at Hinky Dinky throughout high school.
She married
Jack C. Merrill on Nov. 15, 1952, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook. After Mr. Merrill was discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1954, they lived in Dighton, Kan., McCook and Wood River. They moved to Central City in 1973. She was deputy Merrick County assessor until retiring in 1995.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael's Altar Society and the Twilight 12 Extension Club. She enjoyed reading, crafts, traveling and their cabin at the lake.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Cheri Lynn (Mrs. Elwin) Sperling of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kristi Lee (Mrs. Rick) Dubbs and Kathy Jo (Mrs. James) Lewis, both of Grand Island; one son, Mark Wayne Merrill of Grand Island; 10 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Gene Lenhart of Minatare, Donald Lenhart of Abilene, Texas, Fred Lenhart of Glenwood, Iowa, and Ed Lenhart of Boise, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dorothy Sadler
STROMSBURG -- Dorothy J. Sadler, 74, of Stromsburg died Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Midwest Covenant Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Stromsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home in Stromsburg.
Mrs. Sadler was born on Nov. 15, 1923, in Chicago to John Walfred and Elida Olivia (Allinder) Hellstrom. She grew up on a farm west of Osceola. She attended District 61 School and attended Osceola High School until her senior year. She graduated from Stromsburg High School in 1941.
She married
Clayton Hallquist on Dec. 24, 1942, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, sewing, baking and bowling.
She was a member of the Friendly Families Extension Club. She was confirmed at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Stromsburg.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Mrs. Leland) Petersen and Jolene Rosenquist, both of Stromsburg, and Sonja (Mrs. Monty) Fredrickson of Lincoln; one son, Kenneth Hallquist of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Leona Weyers of Lincoln; and two brothers, Venzel of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Allen Hellstrom of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Clayton Hallquist in 1972, Lester Gestrine in 1975 and Ned Sadler in 1983; one great-grandson; three brothers; and one sister.
Irene Smith
ST. PAUL -- Irene C. Smith, 77, of St. Paul died suddenly Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at her home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Libory's Catholic Church in St. Libory. The Rev. David Rykwalder will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday with a 7:30 p.m. vigil service at the Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Smith was born on Nov. 12, 1920, at St. Paul to Henry and Jennie (Meyer) Becker. She grew up northwest of St. Paul and attended Howard County rural schools.
She married
Walter E. Smith on Nov. 25, 1947, at St. Libory. The couple lived on a farm northwest of St. Libory. Mr. Smith died on Nov. 5, 1964. Mrs. Smith continued to live on the farm until June 1984, when her home was destroyed by a tornado. She then moved to St. Paul.
She was a member of St. Libory's Catholic Church, Altar Society and Christian Mothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Mrs. Barry) Pedersen of Hastings; one son, Larry Smith of Grand Island; five grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Becker of St. Paul; and one sister, JoAnn Schwieger of St. Paul.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Raymond Becker; and one sister, Bernice Stewart.
