Kyli Coffin
LOUP CITY -- Kyli Sue Coffin, 3 months old, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at the Loup City Medical Clinic.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at the United Methodist Church in Loup City. The Rev. Heidi Revelo will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Kyli was born Sept. 26, 1998, at St. Paul to Marty and Tami (Magner) Coffin.
Survivors include her parents; a sister, Kelci of Loup City; paternal grandparents, Myron and Shirley Coffin of Loup City; and maternal grandparents, Marj and Gene Spotanski of Loup City.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Oliver Magner, Jr., and a paternal grandmother, Judy Coffin.
George Fritton
ALBION -- George Fritton, 74, of Albion died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at the Boone County Health Center in Albion.
Services are pending with Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Angeline Micek
COLUMBUS -- Angeline Micek, 81, of Columbus died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Isidore Church in Columbus. The Rev. Joseph A. Miksch will officiate. Burial will be in the All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at the McKown Funeral Home.
Mrs. Micek was born Aug. 6, 1917, at Monr' to Frank and Catherine (Kush) Prorok. She married
Ray Micek, Sr. on Aug. 8, 1938, and they lived in Platte and Polk counties for Mrs. Micek's entire life.
She was a homemaker, and she belonged to St. Isidore Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of Columbus; one daughter, Barb Engel of Columbus; a son, Ray Micek, Jr. of Columbus; two sisters, Florence Dubas of Grand Island and Frances Welss of Omaha; one brother, Sal Prorok of Columbus; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one great-grandchild.
June Ott
AURORA -- June Ott, 71, of Aurora died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Aurora First Christian Church. The Rev. Jay Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Higby Mortuary in Aurora.
June Sheridan Ott was born June 11, 1927, at Baker, Ore., to Daniel and Sabina (Ireland) Sutton. She graduated from Baker High School, and later attended the Commercial Art Business College in Portland, and the business college in Walla Walla, Wash.
She married
Orville Ott on May 8, 1951, in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Ott was a retired musicians' agent, and later was a dispatcher for Ott's Pilot Car Service.
She held memberships in drama, historical and arts groups, and belonged to the International Society of poets. She won civic awards in poetry, including the Editor's Choice Award in 1997 for two poems, and the Best of 1997 Selection for three poems.
She was also a member of the Aurora First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Randy, Michael of Salem, Ore., Daniel of Lexington, Jon of Cookville, Tenn.; a daughter, Crystal Ehrhart of Scottsbluff; two brothers, Ted Sutton of Florida and David Sutton of Montana; two sisters, Dessie Weyer of Port Orchard, Wash., and Dorothy Postalwaite of Stayton, Ore.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel; and three sisters, Jeanne, Kathleen and Velva.
Ruby Schlueter
ST. PAUL -- Ruby Schlueter, 73, of St. Paul died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul. Burial will be in the Rosehill cemetery in Palmer.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mrs. Schlueter was born Sept. 19, 1925, at Pierce to Frank and Rose (Ray) Rowlett. She graduated from Palmer High School, and worked at the local drug store in Palmer.
She married
Otto Schlueter on Oct. 25, 1953, in Palmer.
The couple lived on a farm southwest of Palmer until 1981, when they retired and moved to St. Paul. Before retiring, Mrs. Schlueter worked at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Central City, and the couple had four foster children. Mr. Schlueter died April 17, 1995.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Palmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Miller of Lakewood, Colo., and Patty Pedersen of St. Paul; three grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Blauhorn of Central City.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, John and David Rowlett; and two sisters, Ida Rowlett and Lenora Booher.
Mary Miner
LINCOLN -- Mary Cecilia Miner, 47, of Lincoln died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1720 Lake St. in Lincoln. The Rev. John Perkinton will officiate.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Monday at the Metcalf Funeral Home in Lincoln, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Ms. Miner was born June 12, 1951, to Richard and Patricia Miner at Omaha. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and worked for the Lincoln Public Schools as a special education teacher.
She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ben and Abe Miner of Lincoln; her parents of Grand Island; three brothers, Richard DeBacker of Helena, Mont., John DeBacker of Grand Island and William DeBacker of Shore View, Minn.; and seven sisters, Susan Crump of Reston, Va., Patrice Downer of Butte, Mont., Janet Facciano and Dianne Sullivan, both of C'ur d' Alene, Idaho, Laura McAloon of Spokane, Wash., Julia Wolfe of Lincoln and Joyce of Seattle, Wash.
Joy Bromwich
Joy W. Bromwich, 67, of Grand Island died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at the ST. Francis Memorial Health Center Skilled Care Unit.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Ira Sanders
Ira Joel Sanders, 89, of Grand Island died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1997, at Lakeview Nursing Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. The Rev. David Bendickson will officiate. Burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery in St. Paul.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Stolley Park Church of Christ or the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
Mr. Sanders was born Aug. 17, 1908, to William D. and Addena (Balcom) Sanders in Batavia, Ark. He moved with his parents from Fayetteville, Ark. to Kearney in 1922.
The family then moved to Boelus in 1926. He graduated from Boelus High School.
He worked at various jobs prior to going to work for the Central Power Company in 1933. He also worked for Consumers Public Power District and Nebraska Public Power District until his retirement in 1972.
He married
Elsie Ware on Oct. 20, 1937, in St. Paul. The family lived in Boelus until 1942, when they moved to Grand Island.
He was a member of the Stolley Park Church of Christ. He and his wife were among the 14 founding members of the church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time at Lake Ericson.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Dan of Columbus; one sister, Lee Ella Stowell of Ellensburg, Wash.; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Henry and George Blakeney Sanders; and three sisters, Lottie Mae McCullough, Donna Rae Quist and Sibyl Rowena Spaugh.
