Iva Janitscheck
TAYLOR -- Iva Janitscheck, 82, of Taylor died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent. The Revs. Don Dennison and Mike Bratchley will officiate. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Sargent Nursing Center Activity Room.
Victor Johnson
ALBION -- Victor Johnson, 55, of rural Albion died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, after a long illness at Boone County Health Center in Albion.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. The Rev. Brian Bergum and seminary intern Annette Minderman will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Albion.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Arthur Schweitzer
FULLERTON -- Arthur Schweitzer, 73, of Fullerton Manor in Fullerton died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at the Boone County Community Hospital in Albion.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fullerton Manor. The Rev. George McQuinn will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery.

Eugene Scott
TAYLOR -- Eugene F. Scott, 76, of Taylor died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church in Taylor. The Rev. Jim Miller will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the Taylor Ambulance Fund.

Ted Burke
BRADY -- Ted Burke, 67, of Brady died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Brady. The Rev. Ron Harris will officiate. Burial will be in the Gaslin Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Blase Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.
Memorials are suggested to Blase Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Burke was born on June 15, 1930, at Saginaw, Mich., to Rudolph and Teacel (Bragg) Burke. He graduated from Alma, Mich., High School in 1949.
He married
Barbara Jean Wolfe on Sept. 3, 1950, at Alma. He managed a grocery store in Alma from 1951 to 1963 and was a manager in the mobile home industry from 1963 to 1977 in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Oregon and Grand Island. They moved to Brady in 1977 and operated Triangle Home Improvement Store from 1977 to 1981. He had operated Burke's Amoco since 1981.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Brady and served on the Pastor Parish Committee. He was a member of the Brady Lions Club. He enjoyed all Brady sports and especially his grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Connie (Mrs. Harry) Stienike of Brady; three sons, David Burke and Brad Burke, both of Brady, and Tim Burke of Grand Island; nine grandchildren; one brother, Rhinehart Burke of Indiana; and four sisters, Josephine Miller of Pennsylvania, Bonnie Sipes, Sharon Beck and Julia Swett, all of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Craig.
Denise Hunt
BERTRAND -- Denise Kaye Hunt, 51, of Bertrand, formerly of Litchfield, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bertrand. The Rev. Kenneth Christensen will officiate. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Wellfleet Cemetery.
The Nelson Funeral Home of Holdrege is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hunt was born Aug. 25, 1946, in Geneva to Elmer and Marie (Eide) Sanders. She graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1964 and attended Kearney State College for more than two years, majoring in business and English.
She married
Terry L. Hunt in North Platte on April 15, 1966.
The Hunts returned to Kearney, where Mr. Hunt finished his degree and she worked for the college. In 1970, they moved to Litchfield, where she became the school's secretary. They moved to Bertrand in 1978, where she was also the secretary and bookkeeper for the Bertrand Community Schools until her death.
She was an active member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and several professional organizations.
Survivors include her husband, Terry; two sons, Allen of Lexington and Chad of Kearney; one sister, Marilyn (Mrs. Byron) Hansen of Fremont; and one brother, Larry Sanders of Grand Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mira Curren
Mesa, Ariz. -- Mira Curren, 97, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Albion, died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, in a Mesa nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Albion. The Rev. Eric Biehl will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Albion.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Myrtle Hassel
THORNTON, Colo. -- Myrtle L. Hassel, 93, of Thornton, Colo., formerly of Hordville, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at Elms Haven Care Center at Thornton.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grand Island City Cemetery.
Olinger Highland Mortuary of Thornton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hassel was born Dec. 21, 1904, at Hordville to Henry and Josephine (Benson) Jones.
She married
Harry A. Hassel on Sept. 7, 1936, at Central City. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Navy Mothers.
Survivors include two sons, Harry Hassel of Dallas, Texas, and Dan Hassel of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
