Lucille Lambert
PALMER -- Lucille Lambert, 80, of Palmer died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at St. Francis Skilled Care Unit in Grand Island following a short illness.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Palmer. The Rev. Ken West will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Palmer.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Palmer Funeral Home in Palmer.
Memorials are suggested to Palmer Fire Department or Palmer Rescue Squad.
Palmer Funeral Home in Palmer is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lambert was born June 18, 1818, to Mark and Lilly May (Carpenter) Lambert at Palmer. She grew up in Palmer, attending Palmer schools, graduating from Palmer High School in 1936.
She attended college at University of Nebraska from 1936 to 1939 and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
In her younger years, she spent a lot of time at her parents, Loup Valley State Bank and Lambert Ranch, later running it. During the late 1930s and early 40s, she worked at Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant and Greater Nebraska Corp. She also taught high school in the early 1940s.
She married
Edwin Charles Tibbots. They operated a dairy on the east edge of Palmer. He died.
She went back to college in 1975 and received a degree in psychology and sociology.
She married
Ed Schiller in 1980. They traveled and enjoyed the Arizona desert. He later died.
She was a member of United Methodist Church and Palmer Woman Club for many years.
She enjoyed traveling by motor home, visiting places in Canada, United States and Mexico. In her later years, she enjoyed telling stories about her life her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and eating out.
Survivors include three sons, Victor, Kevin and Kent, all of Palmer; one daughter, Karen (Mrs. John Sr.) Forbes of Palmer; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands.
'Dan' Ruark
PHILLIPS -- Danny "Dan" R. Ruark, 58, of Phillips died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kleine Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Leon Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mr. Ruark was born April 30, 1940, to Charles M. and Dorothy (Barnes) Ruark at Bushnell, Ill. He grew up and attended school in Bushnell. He was a self-employed auctioneer and worked at Caterpillar Co. in Peoria, Ill. before moving to Grand Island in 1962. He worked with Twin Rivers Agriculture, worked as a truck driver and also worked for Olson Auction. He worked for The Grand Island Independent at the time of his death.
Survivors include one son, Danny Ray Ruark of Lilbourn, Mo.; two daughters, Robyn Ruark of Washington and Marcia Rudisill of Vanduser, Mo.; three grandchildren; his mother; one sister, Nancy Loeffelbein of Grand Island and a special friend, Lenora Larson of Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Kristi Zimmer
FULLERTON -- Kristi Jo Zimmer, 18, of Fullerton died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, in an automobile accident north of Fullerton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peters Catholic Church in Fullerton. The Rev. Don Cleary will officiate. Burial will be in Fullerton Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. followed by a rosary at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton.

Miss Zimmer was born April 3, 1980, to Emil and Barb (Hellbusch) Zimmer at Fullerton. She grew up on a farm east of Fullerton and attended Fullerton schools, graduating from Fullerton High School in 1998. She was in her second semester at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, where she was pursuing a career in nursing.
She worked for Beverly Health Care Nursing Home in Fullerton as a certified nursing assistant since age 16.
She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church.
Survivors include her parents; three sisters, Nicki Morgan, Carrie and Kathy Ann Zimmer, all of Fullerton and her grandparents, Richard and Donna Lou Hellbusch of Belgrade.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louie and Victoria Zimmer.
Helen Goodrich
Helen A. Goodrich, 72, of Grand Island died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stolley Park Church of Christ. Charles Clayton will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Mrs. Goodrich was born on May 29, 1926, at Rosie, Ark., to Dalous and Viola (Martin) Coleman. She grew up and was educated in Rosie and Cushman, Ark.
She married
Robert L. "Bob" Goodrich on April 18, 1949, at Batesville, Ark. The couple lived in Garden City, Kan. In 1961, they moved to Grand Island, where she worked at Niemano's Restaurant for 17 years.
She was a member of the Stolley Park Church of Christ.
She enjoyed her flowers and working in the yard.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Darrell Goodrich of Inman, S.C.; two daughters, Ann (Mrs. Tom) Ford of Lincoln and Melinda (Mrs. Alan) Petersen of Lenexa, Kan.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Dorman Coleman of Tucson, Ariz., Harold Coleman of Kaysville, Utah, Max Coleman and Sam Coleman, both of Wichita, Kan., and Larry Coleman of Traceyton, Wash.
She was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother, Billy Coleman.
Eva Dusek
RAVENNA -- Eva Dusek, 92, of Ravenna, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at the Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna. Rev. Doug DeNeui will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Congregational Church in Ravenna or the Ravenna Emergency Unit.
Mrs. Dusek was born Dec. 24, 1906 near Ravenna to Amil and Verna Nettie (Novy) Macek. She attended rural school in Buffalo County and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1924. She taught school in rural Buffalo County.
She married
Albin Dusek on June 19, 1928, in Grand Island. They lived on a farm northeast of Pleasanton until 1951 when they moved to Ravenna.
She was a member of the Congregational Church in Ravenna.
Survivors include two sons, Norman of Littleton, Colo., Allyn of Omaha; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister.
Dorothy McRae
BROKEN BOW -- Dorothy Maxine McRae, 86, of Broken Bow died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Memorials have been established to the First Christian Church or the donor's choice.
She was born on July 24, 1912, at the home of her maternal grandparents in Broken Bow to Coday and Hazel Pearl (Norcutt) McRae.
She moved to Colorado with her parents when she was 4 years old, and they homesteaded north of Fort Morgan for six years. Her first five years of schooling were in Colorado. They returned to Custer County in 1923 and lived north of Berwyn. She graduated from Berwyn High School in 1930.
After her schooling, she continued living in her parents' home and helping with farm work. After her father died in a farm accident in 1950 at their home near Westerville, Miss McRae and her mother moved to Broken Bow.
She and her mother kept elderly women and schoolgirls as boarders until 1965. In May 1966, her mother suffered a stroke, and for more than nine years, Miss McRae cared for her mother, who was left a semi-invalid.
Miss McRae was a member of the First Christian Church, where she served as Sunday school secretary, was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship and was church custodian for many years.
She enjoyed gardening and embroidery work.
