Andy Nelson
WOLBACH -- Andy C. Nelson, 93, of Wolbach died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at the Greeley Care Home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Wolbach. The Rev. Ken West will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery at Wolbach.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mr. Nelson was born on Nov. 16, 1905, in Howard County between Wolbach and Cushing to Nels and Mary (Mickelsen) Nelson. He moved into Wolbach at an early age. He attended country school for a couple of years before attending Wolbach schools. He graduated in 1924.
He married
Effie Thayer on Oct. 24, 1926, at Wolbach. He began his own trucking company in Wolbach and also had a produce station until 1954. He owned Tri-County Telephone Co. in Wolbach from 1947 to the early 1960s. He worked as a guard at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant for a few years. He drove a school bus at Wolbach for several years.
He entered the Greeley Care Home in April 1998.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served on the Wolbach town board, school board and volunteer fire department.
Survivors include his wife, of Greeley; one daughter, LaVonne (Mrs. Dan) Dilla of Lincoln; one grandson; and two sisters, Esther Bussell of Grand Island and Lillian Nelson of North Platte.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Otto, Art, Louie and an infant brother, George; and three sisters, Hattie Mentzer, Marie Nelson and Mabel Wohlers.
Agatha Orendorff
AURORA -- Agatha Orendorff, 92, of Aurora died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora with the Rev. Bernard Lorenz officiating. Burial will be in Aurora Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., with a 4 p.m. rosary, Monday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.
Miss Orendorff was born on April 7, 1906, at Marquette to Peter and Frances (Wickless) Orendorff. She graduated from Marquette High School in 1924. She moved to Aurora with her parents in 1929.
She was a supervisor at the Works Progress Administration sewing room from 1938 to 1941, when she began working for Nebraska Public Power District. She retired in 1969 after 28 years of service. She lived at Crossroads Court in Aurora and entered Hamilton Manor in 1994.
She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Leonard and Clarence Orendorff; and four sisters, Gertrude Herbig, Lyola Larson, Frances Strotman and Marguerite Budler.
Wayne Senkbile
CENTRAL CITY -- Wayne Elmer Senkbile, 65, of Central City died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Solt Funeral Home in Central City. The Rev. Charles Pollard will officiate. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mr. Senkbile was born on Oct. 22, 1933, in Hordville to Amos and Elna (Andersen) Senkbile. He grew up in the Central City area and graduated from Central City High School in 1952. He joined the Army in November 1953 and served for two years. He returned to Central City and worked at Larson Chevrolet for more than 10 years.
He married
Emma Darlene Brondel on Feb. 27, 1960, in Central City. He then took over his father's farming operation and was farming at the time of his accident.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was interested in farming, gardening and spoiling his grandchildren. He also enjoyed being a member of the Warm Slough Card Party and spending time at the coffee shop.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mitch Senkbile of Central City and Kevin Senkbile of Grand Island; one daughter, Teresa Senkbile of Central City, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Kruse.
Joan Willy
HASTINGS -- Joan F. Willy, 64, of Hastings died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at Perkins Pavilion in Hastings.
A rosary service will be at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Parkview cemetery in Hastings. The Rev. Joseph P. Finn will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Mary Lanning Hospice.
Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Willy was born on Oct. 31, 1934, in Plymouth to A.H. and Florence (Braun) Nispel. She moved to Hastings from Holdrege in 1942. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1952.
She married
Jerry P. Willy on March 15, 1951. She was assistant manager at Sears in Hastings for 25 years.
She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, the American Association of Retired Persons and National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Debra Shelly of Denver and Michelle Newell of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Marc Willy of Boulder, Colo., and Steve Willy of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Leona Hawk
CHADRON -- Leona I. Hawk, 85, of Chadron, formerly of Cairo, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Danville, Calif.
Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery at Chadron.
Memorials are suggested to the family or the donor's choice.
Chamberlain Mortuary of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hawk was born on Sept. 9, 1913, at Ericson to Peter and Rachel (Zentner) Sanford. She was educated in Bartlett and attended Chadron Teachers College. After receiving her teaching certificate, she taught at rural Chadron for a few years.
She married
Charles H. Hawk on June 25, 1938, at Chadron. She taught school in Chadron, Ericson and Alliance and had lived in North Loup, Cairo and Chadron.
They lived in Hall County until moving back to Chadron in 1958. She worked at the Methodist Church there for 17 years and at the Nebraska Job Crops until retiring in 1996.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Frank of Grand Island and Darwin of Brule; two daughters, Carolyn Visser of Cairo and Linda Novotny of Danville, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, John, Lyman and Jim; and six sisters, Tina, Nora, Bessie, Viola, Bertha and Julie.
Pam Tibbs
Pamela L. "Pam" Tibbs, 40, of Grand Island died Monday, March 15, 1999, at St. Francis Memorial Health Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Tom Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., Thursday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Survivors include six sisters, Monica (Mrs. Daryll) Stearley of Ogallala, Cathie (Mrs. LeRoy) Arends, Nettie (Mrs. Robert) Ellington, Cindy (Mrs. Mike) Knopik and Dottie (Mrs. Jerome) Bilslend, all of Grand Island, and Judy (Mrs. Don) Shuda of Dannebrog; and two brothers, Earl Tibbs of Grand Island and Tim Tibbs of Cairo.
