Viola Rembolt
CHAPMAN -- Viola Rembolt, 89, of Chapman died Saturday, May 22, 1999, at Lakeview Rehab/Nursing Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapman Baptist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Boyce officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Grand Island.
Memorials can be made to the donor's choice or the church memorial fund. Solt Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rembolt was born on Feb. 24, 1910, in Chapman to Albert and Stella (Aurand) Schmutz. She attended Chapman School and graduated from Chapman High School in 1928.
She marred Harvey F. Rembolt on Aug. 10, 1930. The couple lived in the Chapman area.
Mrs. Rembolt was a member of the Chapman Baptist Church and a charter member of Pleasant Ridge Extension Club. She sang in the church choir, enjoyed sewing and knitting and was an avid reader.
She is survived by a son, Delbert of St. Libory; two daughters, Stella Mae (Mrs. Richard) Schaffert of Aurora and Joyce Kay (Mrs. Eugene) Nitsch of Boelus; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, two sisters and a brother.

GILTNER -- Jon Wayne Schrock Sr., 43, of Giltner died Sunday, May 23, 1999, at Eau Claire, Wis.
Services are pending at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home in Grand Island.
Lottie Warner
CENTRAL CITY -- Lottie Warner, 79, of Central City died Monday, May 24, 1999, at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mrs. Warner was born on March 12, 1920, at Omaha to Morris and Gussie Arndt. She grew up and attended school in Omaha.
She married
William A. Warner on April 10, 1938. The couple lived in the Omaha area and in Central City. They later moved to Alaska, where Mrs. Warner worked in a fish cannery. They moved to Grand Island in 1960 and operated Bill's Tavern until 1966.
Mr. Warner died on April 29, 1970. Mrs. Warner moved to the long-term care facility at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in 1984.
She enjoyed playing bingo and cooking.
Survivors include six sons, Terry Warner of Seattle, Ronald, Donald, William and Tom Warner, all of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Bobby Warner of Grand Island; one daughter, Linda Glines of Grand Island; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
Vina West
LOUP CITY -- Vina West, 90, of Loup City died Friday, May 21, 1999, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Mason City. The Rev. Victor Crawford will officiate. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the church.

Mrs. West was born on July 31, 1908, in Arcadia to John and Sue (Crist) Bray. She graduated from Mason City High School.
She married
Theodore "Ted" West on Dec. 12, 1929. The couple lived near Mason City.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Algernon Social Club.
Survivors include one son, Elwood West of Mason City; two daughters, Myrene Woodward of Overton and Nell "Fauvette" Cushman of Burwell; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elva Aufrecht of Hanford, Calif., and Velma Coletti of Valley; and four brothers, Lowell Bray of Wahoo, Leo Bray of Omaha, Bryl Bray of Denver and Doyle Bray of Hanford, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, one sister and two brothers.
Dolores Zmek
DANNEBROG -- Dolores M. Zmek, 82, of Dannebrog died Monday, May 24, 1999, at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Farwell. The Revs. Larry Coulter and David Rykwalder will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Grand Island.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul.
A CCW rosary will be recited at 4 p.m., and a wake service will be at 7:30 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Further visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the hospital, the American Heart Association or the family.
Mrs. Zmek was born on Dec. 4, 1916, in Central City to Alfred and Rose (Trainor) Power. She was raised in Central City and educated in the Central City public schools.
She married
Lewis Zmek on Nov. 27, 1940, in Central City. The couple farmed in the Chapman and Central City areas until March 1957, when they moved to a farm north of Dannebrog. She was active in the farming operation.
Her hobbies included quilting, embroidery, gardening and flowers. She also helped make quilts at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and its altar society in Farwell and the Platt-Duetsche in Grand Island.
Survivors include two daughters, Vir Jeanne (Mrs. John) Baker of Grand Island and Sandra (Mrs. Ernest) Kosmicki of Dannebrog; four granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret (Mrs. Les) Chambers of Grand Island.
Her husband died on Feb. 18, 1999. She also was preceded by one son, Galen; five brothers, Vince, Jamie, Rich, Owen and Bob Power; and five sisters, Charlotte Pierce, Phyllis Williams, Theresa Drusseau, Dorothy Armatys and Agnes Clouse.
Leonard John
ELKHORN -- Leonard Lloyd John, 75, of Elkhorn died Sunday, May 23, 1999, in Omaha.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church chapel, 66th and Dodge, Omaha. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the church, Hospice House or Arabian Horse Trust.

Mr. John was born on Sept. 28, 1923, in Ord to John Jr. and Mary (Moravecek) John.
Survivors include his wife, Kaye; and a daughter, Sheri (Mrs. Greg) Gillham of Gretna.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
