Joe Beyer
NELIGH -- Joe Beyer, 72, of Neligh died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Neligh. Burial will be in Laurel Hill cemetery at Neligh with military rites by American Legion Post 172 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5287.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Beyer Funeral Home in Neligh and after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. A wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte, formerly of Grand Island; one daughter, Vanessa (Mrs. Dave) Schueths of Gering; three sons, Doug of LaVista, Jeff of Honolulu and Andy of Neligh; and nine grandchildren.
Alice Boyd
NORFOLK -- Clara Alice Boyd, 70, of Norfolk, formerly of Grand Island, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Auburn Christian Church. Burial will be in Sheridan cemetery at Auburn.
Hemmingsen Funeral Home of Auburn is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boyd was born to John and Corinne Wilson of Grand Island.
She married
William N. Boyd Jr. on June 27, 1947.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan (Mrs. Dave) Smith of Norfolk; two sons, Steven of Flower Mound, Texas, and John of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley (Mrs. Adrian) Davis of Grand Island.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Dolly Markvicka
NORTH LOUP -- Dolly Markvicka, 89, of North Loup died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the North Loup United Methodist Church with the Rev. Melanie Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside cemetery at North Loup. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be given to the North Loup Rescue Unit or the Wheeler County Rescue Unit.
Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
'Ted' Price
BROKEN BOW -- Theodore R. "Ted" Price, 93, of Broken Bow died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at a rest home in Broken Bow.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with the Rev. Charles Gregory officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Govier Brothers Chapel.
Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Iva, of Broken Bow; a brother, Tom, of Ogallala; and a sister, Hazel Stucker, of Broken Bow.
Mary Ellen Newman
OMAHA -- Mary Ellen Newman, 78, of Omaha died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in Omaha.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel in Omaha. The Rev. Nelson Newman will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery in Omaha.
A wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Miss Newman was born on Nov. 22, 1920, at St. Louis to George W. and Adelaide (Smythe) Newman.
Her only survivor is her brother, the Rev. Nelson E. Newman of Central City.
'Kim' Boeka
Chong Cha "Kim" Boeka, 57, of Grand Island died of natural causes Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at her home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. Burial of the ashes will be at a later date in Korea.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Mrs. Boeka was born on May 8, 1941, at Pyongyangk, Korea, to O, Chang Sun and Chong Yun Sun. She grew up and was educated in Korea and became a U.S. citizen in 1977.
She married
Gary D. Boeka on Dec. 2, 1971, at Mankato, Kan. The couple lived in Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Germany and the United Arab Emirates until returning to Grand Island in 1993.
Mrs. Boeka was honored in 1987 by the commanding general of the 7th Army in Europe for her community involvement and efforts on behalf of schoolchildren.
She was a homemaker, an avid Cornhusker football fan and loved fishing.
She was a member of the Buddhist faith.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Linda Boeka of Lincoln; and two brothers, Cha, Yeoung Jeun, Korea and Cha, Duk Chu, Korea.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ronald Dzingle
Ronald L. Dzingle, 55, of 1309 Sherman Place died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kleine Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger Ridley will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kleine Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Clara Wlaschin
Clara Stobbe Wlaschin, 80, of the Grand Island Veterans Home died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic church. The Rev. Don Larmore will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery in Rockville.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Sunday at the church. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Wlaschin was born on Nov. 2, 1918, at Wiggle Creek in Sherman County.
She grew up in Rockville and graduated from Rockville High School in 1935.
She worked in Omaha for a few years before marrying Eric Stobbe on Nov. 9, 1938.
They lived in Omaha until moving to Cairo in 1946. A year later, they moved to Grand Island, where she worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant and various fabric stores.
Mr. Stobbe died on July 11, 1971.
She married
Jack Wlaschin on Aug. 28, 1986, and they lived in Grand Island. Mr. Wlaschin died in January 1993. She had lived at the Grand Island Veterans Home for a year and a half.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Bob Stobbe of McCall, Idaho; two daughters, Roma (Mrs. Dusty) Jorgensen of Kearney and Lorraine (Mrs. Andy) Curry of Rockville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Toby Stobbe of Grand Island and Stella Birrer of California.
In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, Thadea; and a brother, Joe.
Anna Bartu
ORD -- Anna Bartu, 97, of Ord died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at her home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Rev. Jim Warner will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., Monday at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School or the church.
