Gweneth Grosshans
AURORA -- Gweneth Irene Grosshans, 92, of Aurora died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Cathy Allen will officiate. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.
Mrs. Grosshans was born on March 13, 1906, at Aurora to Floyd and Grace (Holt) Carnes. She grew up and was educated at Stockham and graduated from Stockham High School in 1924.
She married
Arthur W. Grosshans on May 6, 1926, at Stockham. They lived in Stockham and Aurora throughout their marriage. Mr. Grosshans died on Jan. 28, 1992. Mrs. Grosshans entered the Hamilton Manor in August 1994.
She was a member of the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ and the Presbyterian Women. She was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge, a 4-H club leader and Sunday school teacher.
She played the piano and banjo with the Carnes Sisters, in the Night Owls Orchestra and the Blue River Band on KMMJ radio.
Survivors include one son, Richard of Aurora; two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Gip) Barnell and Gwen (Mrs. Stan) Allen, both of Aurora; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anne Evers of Prairie Village, Kan.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter and a sister, Cleetis Williams.
Floyd Iwanski
ORD -- Floyd Iwanski, 75, of Ord died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Revs. Jim Warner and Mark Maresh will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City cemetery with military rites by the Ord Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with a rosary and Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; five sons, Tom of Grand Island, Richard of Brigham City, Utah, David and Steven, both of Elyria, and Donald of Ord; three daughters, Dianne Marie and Theresa Beale, both of Milton, Fla., and Pauline Hahn of Aurora; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Irwin Iwanski of Stockton, Kan.; and three sisters, Iryne Kapustka and Evelyn Paprocki, both of Elyria, and Betty Briggs of Vallejo, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Rysavy.
Charley Moore
GILTNER -- Charley William Moore, 80, of Giltner died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at his home.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Giltner United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dwight DeLaet will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Higby Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore was born on Dec. 17, 1918, at Bagley, Iowa, to Oscar and Mary (Lane) Moore. He grew up and was educated at Bagley and Glidden, Iowa.
He worked on a construction crew out of Scranton, Iowa, and later worked as a mechanic for Nebraska White Truck Center in Grand Island, Nebraska Truck Center in Hastings and the Giltner Co-op.
He married
Margaret White on Oct. 31, 1970, at Giltner.
He was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Eagles Club in Grand Island.
He was known for his mechanical abilities and helping stranded motorists.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Daniel of Lidderdale, Iowa, Joseph of Armstrong, Iowa, and Lawrence of Fort Lee, Va.; six daughters, Rose (Mrs. Virgil) Irlbeck of Maple River, Iowa, Barb Gibson of Carroll, Iowa, Connie Spalding of Scranton, Iowa, Terry (Mrs. Mike) Roberts of Giltner and Barb (Mrs. Gary) Braun and Donna Rasmussen, both of Minden; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, two grandchildren and one brother.
Wilma Sewing
CENTRAL CITY -- Wilma Johanna Seraphine Sewing, 89, of Central City died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at the Florence Home in Omaha.
Services are pending for 10 a.m. Saturday at Solt Funeral Home in Central City.
Georgia Stoffel
WOLBACH -- Georgia M. Stoffel, 70, of Wolbach died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1998, at the Howard County Hospital in St. Paul.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Wolbach. The Rev. Ken West will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery in Wolbach.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Esther Wozniak
ORD -- Esther Wozniak, 88, of Ord died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at the Valley County Nursing Home in Ord.
Services are pending at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Victor Kuhlmann
SUPERIOR -- Victor Henry Kuhlmann, 82, of Superior died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Superior.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior. The Revs. Duane Fahr and Fred Meyers will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Superior with full military rites by Superior Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home in Superior.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Mr. Kuhlmann was born on Aug. 22, 1916, at Auburn to William and Mary (Stutheit) Kuhlmann. He attended rural school at Auburn.
He married
Ethel Anna Charlotte Renz on Aug. 10, 1941, at Deshler.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army on Aug. 14, 1942, was a prisoner of war and was discharged on Dec. 16, 1944.
Mrs. Kuhlmann died on Dec. 19, 1979.
Mr. Kuhlmann married
Janet Troudt on March 21, 1981.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, VFW, American Legion, Cornhusker Chapter of the American Ex-Prisoners of War and the 2nd Schweinfurt Memorial Association.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; four sons, Kenneth of Walla Walla, Wash., Wade of Bel Air, Md., and Gerald and Gregory, both of Grand Island; one daughter, Gayle Kuhlmann of Hastings; two stepsons, Matthew Sullivan of Minco, Okla., and Scott Sullivan of Manhattan, Kan.; two stepdaughters, Kelly (Mrs. Brad) Swanson of Courtland, Kan., and Shari Craft of Seminole, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edna Moore of Auburn and Malinda Hoke of Elk Creek.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
