Judith Reineke
BURWELL -- Judith D. Reineke, 59, of Burwell died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Congregational Church in Burwell. Burial will be in Kent cemetery near Taylor.
There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Burwell Park Fund.
Eberle-Hitchkock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements.
Neola Shoemaker
ORD -- Neola Shoemaker, 89, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at her home in the Springdale area east of Ord.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ord Memorial Chapel. John Orchard will officiate. Burial will be in Cottonwood cemetery at Burwell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the Ord Volunteer Fire Department.
Mrs. Shoemaker was born on Dec. 2, 1908, near Burwell to Charles F. and Maybelle (Woods) Lenker. She attended school west of Burwell in Garfield County.
She married
Lewis C. Peyton of Sedgwick, Colo., on July 9, 1927. They were divorced in 1941.
She married
Alfred Shoemaker on Jan. 23, 1944, in Kansas. They lived on his folks' homestead southeast of Ord for three years. They moved to Fort Sumter Farm nine miles east of Ord in 1947. Mr. Shoemaker died on Oct. 4, 1994.
Mrs. Shoemaker enjoyed music, gardening, canning, raising cattle and milking cows.
Illness kept her at home in her later years.
Survivors include three sons, David Shoemaker of rural Ord, Kenneth Peyton of Ashton and LeRoy Peyton of Grand Island; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack; and two sisters, Anona and Aleto.
Luis Aguilera
Luis Antonio Aguilera, 8-month-old son of Frostina (Schmidt) Aguilera of Grand Island and the late Isaias Aguilera, died Saturday, Nov. 7, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include his mother; two brothers, Rigoberto and Roberto, both of Grand Island; one sister, Jessica of Grand Island; maternal grandparents, Hazel Struble and Raymond Schmidt, both of Grand Island; and paternal grandparents, Maria Evelia Aguilera and Luis Alberto Escobar, both of El Salvador.
Services are pending with Kleine Funeral Home.
Robert Beberniss
Robert Beberniss, 101, of Grand Island died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at Tiffany Square Care Center.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Tina Domet
Tina Domet, 93, of Grand Island died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at Park Place Health Care and Rehab Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery in Omaha.
Survivors include one son, Tony Donnermeyer of Grand Island; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Eli, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert J. Donnermeyer, and one daughter, Dorothy Leiser.
Emil Lilienthal
Emil Lilienthal, 94, of Grand Island died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at Lakeview Rehab/Nursing Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Quandt officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mr. Lilienthal was born on Oct. 31, 1904, on the family farm in Merrick County. He attended District 17 School in Merrick County. After his education, he worked on the family farm. He farmed and raised livestock all his life. He loved the outdoors, livestock, his pets and polka music.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Lilienthal, Roy Lilienthal and Ray Lilienthal; and two sisters, Ella Herman and Hilda Frauen.
Lucille Schmale
Lucille S. Schmale, 83, of Grand Island died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at Park Place Health Care and Rehab Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Ryan will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Schmale was born on March 18, 1915, at Grand Island to Sebastian and Hellena (Guyette) Gimple. She attended Grand Island schools before starting to work at several businesses in Grand Island.
She married
Albert Braune in 1937 in Kansas. Mr. Braune died in 1956.
She married
Marvin Schmale on Jan. 9, 1957, in Hastings.
Mrs. Schmale was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, George, Edward and Sam; and two sisters, Lillian Codner and Louisa Meek.
Bernice Moberg
PLEASANTON -- Bernice Moberg, 82, of Pleasanton died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at the Mother Hull Home in Kearney, where she had been a resident for three days.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pleasanton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rose Bartleson officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
Visitation will be until service time Tuesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the church, Pleasanton Fire Department or Good Samaritan Hospital hospice program.
Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moberg was born on Feb. 28, 1916, at her parents' home northwest of Pleasanton. She was a lifetime resident of the Pleasanton area. She attended Prairie Bell country school.
She married
Donald W. Kohlscheen on Sept. 3, 1934, in Smith Center, Kan. They farmed in the Pleasant Valley area north of Pleasanton until Mr. Kohlscheen died on June 14, 1956. Following her husband's death, she moved to Pleasanton. She worked at Baldwin Manufacturing in Kearney and then at the Henningsen Food Plant in Ravenna. She later worked at cafes in Pleasanton.
She married
Charles J. Moberg on May 2, 1960, in Minden. Mr. Moberg died on April 5, 1988.
Mrs. Moberg was a member of the Pleasanton United Methodist Church and the Elder Grove Club.
Survivors include a son, Russel Kohlscheen of Hewitt, Texas; a daughter, Gwen Anderson of Pleasanton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Tracy Neilsen of New Ulm, Minn.; and a brother, Harvey Klein of Grand Island.
In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Darrel Kohlscheen; five sisters and three brothers.
