James Clarke
CENTRAL CITY -- James F. Clarke, 90, of Central City died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Central City. The Rev. Nelson Newman will officiate. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. wake service, Wednesday at the church.
Solt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Clarke Recreation Fund in care of the Merrick Manor.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; one daughter, Ann Strange; four sons, James, Joe, John and Jeff Clarke; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Margaret Ewing
AURORA -- Margaret Ewing, 96, of Aurora died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, in an Omaha care home.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora. The Rev. Peggy Michael-Rush will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery at Albion.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Ewing was born on Feb. 4, 1901, at Cedar Bluffs to Ralph and Flora (Allen) Crosby. The family moved in 1906 to Albion, where she completed high school. She attended Kearney State College and graduated from the University of Nebraska. She taught school for 10 years and then was an extension agent in three Nebraska counties for 21 years.
She married
B. Harry Ewing on April 21, 1963, at Aurora. They lived in Aurora until moving to Good Samaritan Village in Hastings in 1969. Following Mr. Ewing's death on April 6, 1970, she returned to Aurora and lived in the Hamilton Manor until moving to an Omaha care home.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two stepsons, Norval and Phillip Ewing; a stepdaughter, Virginia Whetstone; a brother, Albert; and a sister, Kathryn.
Ruby Glinsmann
DANNEBROG -- Ruby M. Glinsmann, 70, of Dannebrog died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Dannebrog. The Rev. Robert Carlson will officiate. Burial will be in Loup Fork cemetery near Boelus.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family or the church.

Mrs. Glinsmann was born on May 5, 1927, at Hamburg, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph Major. She grew up and attended school in the Hamburg area.
She did child-care and domestic work in the Hamburg area. She also lived at various communities in Iowa and then worked in health care in Nebraska City and Shenandoah, Iowa. She later did the same type of work in Council Bluffs.
She married
Ernest Glinsmann on Nov. 22, 1950, at St. Paul. They lived and farmed near Ashton until 1952, when they moved to Rockville. She moved to Oakridge Manor in Dannebrog in 1989.
She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Dannebrog.
Survivors include one son, Lyle of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four infant children and one brother, Walter Major.
Charley Harden
TAYLOR -- Lyle Charley Harden, 69, of Taylor died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent. The Rev. Roger Gillming will officiate. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Parkinson's research or the Taylor Methodist Church.
Genevieve Radke
ELYRIA -- Genevieve Lucille Radke, 87, of Elyria died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif., while visiting her family.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Rev. Bernard Berger will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery at Elyria.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, Tuesday at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Radke was born on Jan. 10, 1911, at David City to Peter and Minnie (Kearney) Jacobs. She moved with her family in 1916 to Deuel County, where she grew up and attended school. She attended St. Patrick's Academy in Sidney and graduated from Chappell High School in 1928.
She married
Al Radke on May 26, 1932, at Chappell. They lived on a farm in Deuel County near Big Springs until moving to the Carkoski farm near Elyria in 1938. Mr. Radke died on Dec. 17, 1962. Mrs. Radke continued to live on the farm. She died while visiting her son, Don, and his family in California.
She enjoyed the outdoors, sewing, crocheting and crafts.
She had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Elyria, where she served as a circle chairwoman. After that church's closing, she transferred her membership to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ord. She was a member of an area extension club.
Survivors include two sons, William Radke, address unknown, and Donald Radke of Spring Valley, Calif.; one daughter, Connie (Mrs. Gary) Sears of Grand Island; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Helen Krenowicz of Denver, Sister Mary Laurence of Louisville, Ky., and Marjorie Cerny of Chappell.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by four infant children, Mary, Janet, Jerome and Alice; one grandson; and three brothers, Lawrence, James and Frances.
Goldie Rodocker
BROKEN BOW -- Goldie Ella Rodocker, 86, of Broken Bow, formerly of Halsey, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow. The Rev. Linda Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the Purdum Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Halsey United Church of Christ or the American Heart Association.
Mrs. Rodocker was born on Feb. 17, 1911, in Blaine County to Joseph and Matilda (Machael) Driml. She attended rural schools and went to high school in Dunning.
She married
Walter Rodocker on March 30, 1928, in Broken Bow. They lived and ranched at Halsey. Mrs. Rodocker was a homemaker for many years.
She later worked as a postal clerk and then became postmaster in Halsey. Mr. Rodocker died on Sept. 19, 1984. Mrs. Rodocker moved to Broken Bow in 1990. She had lived at Sandhills Manor Nursing Home in Broken Bow for one year.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Kemp of Broken Bow; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Tresa Brumbaugh of California and Matilda Jochum of Denver.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Lyle; four brothers and one sister.
