Annabel Dunbar
BROKEN BOW -- Annabel Dunbar, 58, of Broken Bow, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at Jennie Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Church of God in Broken Bow. The Rev. Tom Coll will officiate. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Leonard Jasnoch
LOUP CITY -- Leonard A. Jasnoch, 76, of Loup City died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Richard Piontkowski and the Rev. Thomas Mullowney will officiate with burial in the Evergreen cemetery in Loup City.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church with a 7:30 p.m. vigil service.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice. Peters Funeral Home of Loup City is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jasnoch was born on Nov. 12, 1921, on a farm east of Ashton to Ben and Mary (Koslicki) Jasnoch. He attended the St. Francis parochial school in Ashton. The family later moved to Loup City where he attended Loup City public schools. Upon completing his education, he worked at the Conservation Corps Camp in Halsey for some time.
He married
Rose Koperski on May 15, 1946, at Farwell. The couple lived their entire married
life in the Loup City area. Mr. Jasnoch was employed in farming until 1964. The couple then owned and operated Fisherman's Lounge in Loup City and later were employed by the Colony Inn in Loup City. He was also a bus driver for Loup City public schools for several years.
In the fall of 1992 he entered Rose Lane Home in Loup City. He loved gardening, fishing and sports. He was a member of St. Josaphat's Catholic Church and was a long-time member of the church choir.
He is survived by his wife of Loup City; two sons, Roger Jasnoch of Kearney and Mike Jasnoch of Lexington; two daughters, Connie (Mrs. Tom) Stobbe of Lexington and Linda (Mrs. Ron) Kowalewski of Madison; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother, Richard Jasnoch of Grand Island and one sister, Irene Fenton of Butte, Mont.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Jasnoch; two brothers, Larry and Johnny Jasnoch and one sister, Delores Maciejewski.
Julia McNeely
GATES -- Julia Maria McNeely, 96, of Gates died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997, at Sandhills Manor in Broken Bow.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cottonwood cemetery in Burwell. The Rev. Ray Avidano will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Eberle-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell.
Memorials are suggested to Camp Kaleo in Burwell.
Mrs. McNeely was born Feb. 14, 1901, to Osceola and Laura (McClimans) Cram west of Taylor at Madison Square at their homestead. She lived with her family on farms in Custer County in her early years. She graduated from Grand Island Business College and worked as a teller for Farmers Bank in Burwell in the early 1920s. She lived with her grandmother, Alta McClimans, at the time.
She and her sister, Honor, moved to Los Angeles, where Julia worked at the Bank of America.
She married
Thomas "Mac" McNeely on June 11, 1933, in Boise, Idaho, at the home of her brother, Jack. They moved to Natchez, Miss., in 1946 with their children, where the couple owned and operated a restaurant. They divorced in 1953 and she and her daughter, Osa, moved in 1955 to Baton Rouge, La., where the children were attending Louisiana State University. She then moved to New Orleans, where she worked for a real estate firm.
She later moved to Biloxi, Miss., to work as an accountant and night manager of a guest house for military families at Kessler Air Force Base. She returned to Nebraska in 1962, moving to Gates and managed the family land. She lived there until 1993, when she entered Sandhills Manor in Broken Bow.
She was a member of First Congregational Church, Eastern Star and PEO in Burwell. She also was a member of D.A.R. in Broken Bow.
Survivors include one son, Thomas of Natchez, Miss.; one daughter, Osa (Mrs. Dean) Tilman of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; one brother, Fred of Gates; and two sisters, Mabel Bromwich of Broken Bow and Honor (Mrs. Frank) Duelks of Laguna Hills, Calif.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Jack and one sister, Bernice.
Julia New
CEDAR RAPIDS -- Julia C. New, 88, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at Lakeview Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Grand Island.
Services are pending with Levander Funeral Home in Albion and Cedar Rapids.

Letha Reyner
MARQUETTE -- Letha Marie Reyner, 64, of Marquette died on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997, at her home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Solt Funeral Home chapel in Central City. The Rev. Melvin Zichek will officiate. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Edward Vogt
Wolbach -- Edward W. Vogt, 91, of Wolbach died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997, at the Grand Island Veterans Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in St. Paul. The Rev. Robert Paulson will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in St. Paul with military rites by Ray Mapes American Legion Post 236 of Wolbach.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Jacobsen Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mr. Vogt was born on Feb. 7, 1906, to Henry and Laura (Beberniss) Vogt at North Loup. He was raised near North Loup and attended rural school there. After his schooling, he worked on the family farm.
He married
Laraine Nelson in 1929 at Marquette and he continued to farm. He later married
Lorena Gade on Jan. 29, 1946 at Smith Center, Kan. The couple first lived in Grand Island. In 1947, they bought a farm west of Wolbach. His wife, Lorena, died on Feb. 7, 1991.
Mr. Vogt moved to the Nebraska Veterans Home in August 1991 and lived there for the remainder of his life.
He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in St. Paul and a past member of the American Legion Post of Wolbach.
Survivors include one son, Gerald of Wolbach; four step grandchildren; one step great-grandson; one brother, George of Grand Island; and one sister, Gladys Lamphear of Alda.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Elmer, and two sisters, Edna Thensivtz and Louise Wiegert.
Lois Hansen
TILDEN -- Lois June Hansen, 64, of Tilden died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, at Antelope Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hoepfinger-Beyer Funeral Home in Neligh. The Rev. Elsa Lawry will officiate. Burial will be in the Tilden City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hoepfinger-Beyer Funeral Home in Neligh.
Mrs. Hansen was born Jan. 7, 1933 at Fullerton to Martin and Elizabeth (Scafe) Bray. She attended school in Genoa and graduated from Genoa High School. She attended nursing school in Twin Falls, Idaho, and worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years.
She lived in Grand Island and worked at St. Francis Hospital and Lakeview Nursing Home before moving to Tilden 12 years ago. She then worked in home health care.
She married
Robert Hansen on Nov. 7, 1959 in Boone County.
Survivors include one son, Sgt. Robert Hansen of Bellevue; two daughters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Mark) Geyer of Albion and Carolyn Hansen of Tilden; one brother, Edward Bray of Grand Island; two sisters, Evelyn Arnold of California and Jean Janky of St. Paul; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Clarence Hurst
SUTTON -- Clarence William Hurst, 85, of Sutton died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Services were Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the Federated Church in Sutton. The Revs. William and Glenda Jardine officiated. Burial was in the Sutton Cemetery.
Kohler Mortuary in Sutton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hurst was born on May 6, 1912, to William and Anna (Krantz) Hurst in Sutton. He attended Sutton Public Schools and graduated from Sutton High School in 1929. He attended the Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln for two years.
He married
Henrietta "Dot" Unterseher on June 17, 1937, at Savannah, Mo. He was co-owner of the Yost Motor Co., a Ford motor company dealership in Sutton, for a number of years.
He was a member of the Federated Church, Masonic Evening Star Lodge No. 49 A.F. & A.M., the Tehama Shrine and Scottish Rite of Hastings and served on the Sutton cemetery Board for more than 40 years. He was one of the original board members for the Nolde Center.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Jean Ann (Mrs. Mike) Kissler of Lincoln; two sons, James Rollins of Cortez, Colo., and Thomas Hurst of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Dorthy Sundling of Oakdale, Calif., Roberta Heath of St. Joseph, Mo., and Fern Traudt of Grand Island; two brothers, Cleo Hurst of Sutton and Don Hurst of Topeka, Kan.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond.
