'Bill' Ramaekers
LINCOLN -- William L. "Bill" Ramaekers, 67, of Lincoln, formerly of Genoa, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Genoa. The Rev. Robert Nienaber will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View cemetery near Genoa.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Anson Funeral Home in Genoa and from 7 to 9 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, Friday at the church.
Mr. Ramaekers was born on May 25, 1931, in Lindsay to Rudolph "Pete" and Rose (Ternus) Ramaekers. He graduated from Genoa High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean War.
He married
Helen Borowiak on Oct. 29, 1955, in Silver Creek.
He attended Midland College in Fremont and graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Mortuary Science in 1959. He worked for Gass-Haney Funeral Home in Columbus.
They moved in 1966 to Genoa, where he owned Ramaekers Mortuary. He served with the Genoa ambulance service for 27 years and was the licensed funeral director for Solt Funeral Home in Central City from 1988 until retiring in 1993. They moved to Lincoln after retiring.
Mr. Ramaekers served as a trustee and usher at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Genoa and was a member of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ Church in Lincoln. He helped organize the Genoa Booster Club and youth basketball program and umpired for baseball and softball. He volunteered more than 1,500 hours to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lincoln.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3704 in Columbus, American Legion Post 144 in Genoa and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20 in Columbus. He was VFW post commander in 1962 and '63.
He was a past member of the Columbus and Genoa Lions Clubs, past president of the Genoa Chamber of Commerce and the Genoa Alumni Association. He held offices in the Nebraska and National Funeral Directors Associations. He was Nebraska president and on the board for the State Organ Retrieval Program from 1995 to '96.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jack Ramaekers of Omaha and Brad Ramaekers of Columbus; two daughters, Roxane (Mrs. Scott) Rasmussen of Lincoln and Karla (Mrs. Greg) Zoucha of Fort Calhoun; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Bob of Fullerton; and two sisters, Arlene Somerheiser and Joan (Mrs. Larry) Kunz, both of Genoa.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jack Ramaekers; and one sister, Jeanette Anderson.
Bobbie Bell
MODESTO, Calif. -- Bobbie Mae Bell, 72, of Modesto, Calif., died June 7, 1998.
Services were on June 10 in Modesto. Burial was in Pioneer Cemetery, also in Modesto.
Mrs. Bell was born on Feb. 21, 1926, in Arkansas to Vic and Marie Moffett.
She married
Homer Bell of Giltner in 1945.
Survivors include two sons, Terry of York and Michael of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Connie (Mrs. Jimmy) Tanquary of Modesto and Donna Kastle of Los Gatos, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Billie Hunter of Long Beach, Calif., and Jo Bachman of Giltner.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
Harold Schamber
ONTARIO, Ore. -- Harold Benjamin Schamber, 84, of Ontario, Ore., formerly of Shelton and Wood River, died June 5, 1998.
Services were on June 10 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Ontario. The Rev. Fred Schuett officiated. Burial will be in Rosedale Memorial Gardens in Payette.

Mr. Schamber as born on Jan. 10, 1914, in a sod house in White River, S.D., to John and Elizabeth Schamber. He grew up on the family farm, worked on a cattle ranch and then moved to Wyoming.
He married
Alma Moss on Nov. 16, 1943, at Shelton.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After serving in Tacoma, Wash., and San Diego and being discharged in 1945, he moved to Nebraska to farm.
They moved to Ontario, Ore., in January 1957. They were dairy farmers for 23 years.
After retiring, he kept busy with woodworking. He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janet (Mrs. Ray) Hewitt of Corvallis, Ore., Roselyn (Mrs. Jim) Clegg of Enterprise, Ore., and Nellene (Mrs. Lynn) House of Middleton, Idaho; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin of Vancouver, Wash., Richard of Eugene, Ore., and William of Hillsboro, Ore.; and three sisters, Alvena Trick of Ontario, Ore., Ann Six of Riverton, Wyo., and Larraine Person of Fruitland, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Melvin; and two sisters, Helen Riegert and Emma Rohn.
Carl McCullough
Carl G. McCullough, 87, of 2003 N. Huston died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the church's chancel remodeling fund.

Albin Czarnek
LOUP CITY -- Albin J. Czarnek, 70, of Loup City died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at his home.
Services are pending with Peters Funeral Home of Loup City.
Onna Bolich
LOUP CITY -- Onna M. Bolich, 89, of Loup City died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at St. Paul.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Peters Funeral Home in Loup City. The Rev. Lawrence Garland will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in the Ainsworth City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mrs. Bolich was born on Aug. 8, 1908, on a farm near Ainsworth to Ira and Hilda (Carson) Daywitt. She attended District 17 School, worked in neighboring homes and baby-sat.
She married
Lee H. Bolich on May 7, 1931, at Ainsworth. The couple lived in the Buffalo Flats area near Long Pine.
They moved to a farm in Sherman County between Litchfield and Loup City in 1949 and later moved into Loup City. Mr. Bolich died on March 21, 1965.
Mrs. Bolich was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Gayle Bolich of Yukon, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Muriel Roy; two sons, Dean and Dale; a brother, Ora Daywitt; and three sisters, Lena Reynoldsen, Stella Huggins and Ada Allan.
Zachary Schriner
HASTINGS -- Zachary Adam Schriner, 8, of Hastings died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings after a car-pedestrian accident.
Services were on Wednesday at Butler-Volland Chapel in Hastings. The Rev. Steve A. Hodgson officiated. Burial was in Parkview cemetery at Hastings.
Memorials are suggested to the Zachary Schriner Memorial Fund.
Zachary was born on April 27, 1989, in Hastings to Jay and Cristy (Zubrod) Schriner. He was a third-grader at Hawthorne Public School.
He was a member of the Berean Bible Church and Awana Club.
Survivors include his mother, Cristy Zubrod of Hastings; his father, Jay Schriner of Blair; a sister, Ashley Schriner at home; grandparents, Marilyn and Don Wegner and Bob and Kayleen Schriner, all of Hastings, and Bernice Macorquadale; and great-grandparents, Mary Zubrod and Paul and Freda Gartner, all of Hastings, Cleo and Ruth Thayer of Nora, Ray Mohlman of South Bend, Ind., and Ella Schriner of Riverton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Zubrod; and great-grandfathers, Joseph Zubrod and Art Schriner.
