'Patty' Vejvoda
Patricia M. "Patty" Vejvoda, 54, of 627 E. MacArthur died Wednesday, April 29, 1998, as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near St. Libory.
Services are pending at Kleine Funeral Home.
Sylvia Miller
SHELTON - Sylvia Miller, 89, of Shelton, formerly of Holstein, died Thursday, April 30, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Shelton United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Spence will officiate. Burial will be in the Shelton Cemetery.
Visitation will be prior to service time on Monday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the church or the Gibbon Good Samaritan Center.

Mrs. Miller was born on Dec. 2, 1908, at Holstein to Olaf and Martha (Jorgensen) Petersen. She grew up in Holstein and attended school there.
She married
Harry Miller on Feb. 27, 1929, at Hastings. The couple lived in Holstein, where they farmed before managing the S.E. Smith Lumber Co. for 22 years.
The couple moved to Shelton in 1992 to be near their daughter and family. Mr. Miller died in 1994.
Mrs. Miller moved to the Gibbon Good Samaritan Center in 1997. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shelton.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan (Mrs. Gaylord) Meyer of Shelton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Miller of Seward and Belle Fern Neinhueser of Hastings; and one brother, Woodrow Petersen of Holstein.
Ann Volkl
ST. LIBORY - Ann M. Volkl, 85, of St. Libory died Thursday, April 30, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Service are pending with Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Phyllis Kilpatrick
NELIGH - Phyllis Kilpatrick, 79, of Neligh, formerly of Grand Island, died Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at the Neligh Nursing Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Neligh. Matt Reckner and Ron Mortensen will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Beyer Funeral Home in Neligh. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kilpatrick was born on Oct. 15, 1918, at Neligh to Fred and Emma (Petersen) Pedersen. She graduated from Neligh High School in 1936. She graduated from the Grand Island Business School as a stenographer. She worked in Washington, D.C., at the Department of the Interior and the Pentagon.
She married
Delmer W. Miller on May 1, 1943, at Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She graduated from nursing school in Kearney as a licensed practical nurse on April 4, 1963.
She married
Harold Kilpatrick on Jan. 18, 1964, at the Church of Christ in Neligh. They lived in Grand Island until moving to North Platte. She lived in North Platte until January 1998, when she moved to the Neligh Nursing Center.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2839 Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary 163, United Transportation Union Lodge 379 Auxiliary and the Rest and Relaxation Club. She attended the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a step grandchild and a brother, Elsworth Pedersen of Neligh.
Her husband, Harold, died in 1981. She also was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Sheila Winslow.
Kathleen Whetstone
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Kathleen Ann Whetstone, 59, of St. Paul, Minn., died Wednesday, April 29, 1998, as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near St. Libory.
Services are pending at Kleine Funeral home.

James Schaub
James J. Schaub, 71, of 220 W. 10th died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Jose Chavez will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., Sunday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Parish, the parish nurse or the donor's choice.
Mr. Schaub was born on May 21, 1927, near Greeley to George and Etta (Berney) Schaub. He attended rural school and was a member of the Church of the Visitation at O'Connor.
He moved to Grand Island in 1955. He worked for V.C. Wren and Co. and Gerrard Roofing. He retired from Gerrard Roofing in 1970 due to ill health.
He was a member of St. Mary's Parish.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary K. (Mrs. David) Walkowiak of Grand Island and Charlotte (Mrs. Don) Kusy of Lincoln; and a brother, Tom Schaub of O'Neill.
Julia F. Feik
SPALDING -- Julia F. Feik, 77, of Spalding died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Friendship Villa in Spalding after a long bout with cancer.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding. The Revs. Frank Hoelck, James Murphy and Jake Bauer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., with rosaries at 4:30 and 8:15 p.m., Sunday at Dolce Scheef Mortuary.
Mrs. Feik was born on Sept. 29, 1921, near Spalding to Edward J. and Rose M. (Bernt) Walsh. She attended District 14 School.
She married
Francis Feik on June 10, 1947, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding. They farmed east of Spalding until 1968, when they moved to town. She worked as a care provider in Spalding for 24 years.
She was a lifetime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger (Mrs. Paul) Glaser of Bradenton, Fla., and Cindy (Mrs. Jerry) Glaser of Spalding; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Eugene; four brothers, James, Frank, William and Edward; and three sisters, Marie Walsh, Margaret Seamann and Clara Marsh.
Alyce Finney
BROKEN BOW -- Alyce Laura Finney, 69, of Broken Bow, formerly of Ainsworth, died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Broken Bow. The Rev. Bob Rooney will officiate. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Finney was born on Nov. 25, 1929, in Custer County near Ansley to Cecil and Clarcie (Alexander) Burt. She attended Rosebud School near Comstock and graduated from Arcadia High School.
She worked in the Lincoln and Omaha areas for about 20 years.
She married
James Finney. She had lived in Ainsworth for about 20 years and lived at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow for the last year.
She had been a member of the Ainsworth Does.
Survivors include three brothers, Cecil Burt Jr. of Broken Bow, Oscar Burt of Lincoln and William Burt of Oshkosh.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
