Aleen N. Moore, 82, of 212 Linden Ave., died Saturday, March 20, 1999 at St Francis Medical Center.
Services are pending with Kleine Funeral Home.
Gene Fuller
BROKEN BOW -- Gene Fuller, 72, of Broken Bow died Friday, March 19, 1999, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. The Rev. Steve Hicks will officiate. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. The mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
E. Eugene Fuller was born June 12, 1926, at Broken Bow to Everett M. and Ruth M. (Haefele) Fuller. He attended school in Dutchman Valley, and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1942.
He married
Frances Stivers on July 31, 1948, in Mason City. The family lived in Dutchman Valley, later moved to Spencer Park Community near Berwyn and eventually lived in Broken Bow.
Mr. Fuller was a member of Broken Bow Elk's Lodge No. 1688.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, of Broken Bow; one son, Melvin Fuller of Chapman; two grandchildren; three sisters, Reta Geisler of Oregon, Leta Lynch of Broken Bow and Myrtle Gunther of Broken Bow.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn.
Warren Loftis
CENTRAL CITY -- Warren H. Loftis, 78, of Central City died Friday, March 19, 1999, at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City with Scott Butcher officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Hartington cemetery in Hartington.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Society.
Mr. Loftis was born on June 28, 1920, to Jonathan F. "Frank" and Clara (Sommers) Loftis in Coleridge. He attended Mayflower County School near Coleridge. He farmed near Coleridge as a young man. He then joined the U.S. Army and served stateside during World War II.
He married
Leanna I. Konken on June 4, 1951, in Coleridge. They lived in Bloomfield where he worked construction. They lived in Atkinson for six years where he was a welder. In 1969, they moved to Central City. He worked for Bill's Volume and Central Scale as a welder. He also worked at the Westgate Station and retired in 1995.
After retirement, he enjoyed haying, tilling gardens and helping his son-in-law farm.
Survivors include his former wife, Leanna Loftis of Central City; two sons, Darrell of Central and Neal of Angwin, Calif.; and one daughter, Karen (Mrs. Scott) Butcher of Marquette; a twin brother, Bill Loftis of Lebanon, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by twin infant sons; one grandson and three brothers, Leonard, Merle and Forrest.
Wilma L. Williams ALBION -- Wilma L. Williams, 90, of Albion died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Albion. The Rev. Timothy Stahls will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Levander Funeral Home in Albion. Visitation will resume Tuesday until service time at the church.
Camille Townsend
OMAHA -- Camille L. Townsend, 27, of Omaha, formerly of St. Paul, died Friday, March 19, 1999, at her home from a lengthy illness.
Two funeral services are planned. The first will be Monday, March 22 at 3 p.m. at the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha. The Rev. Carlos Schneider and Rev. Deanne Lundahl will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
The second funeral service will be Tuesday, March 23 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in St. Paul. The Rev. Carlos Schneider, Rev. Deanne Lundahl and Rev. Larry Lepper will officiate. Burial will be in the South Logan cemetery south of St. Paul. Visitation will be at the church at 8:30 a.m. until service time.
Memorials are suggested to the Camille Townsend Memorial Fund for Children and Education at the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church or the Leukemia Society of Nebraska.
Miss Townsend was born July 4, 1971 at Grand Island to Darold and Ellamae (Allen) Townsend. She grew up on her family's farm north of St. Paul.
She attended St. Paul Public Schools and graduated in 1989. After graduation, she worked in day care in Kearney.
She then attended Midlands College in Fremont studying child psychology.
Miss Townsend moved to Connecticut and worked as a nanny for two years. She attended the University of Connecticut at Stanford until she became ill with Leukemia in April of 1994 and returned to Nebraska.
While living in Omaha she served as director of education on the staff of the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church.
She also attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha when her health allowed.
She was a member of the Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church of Omaha.
She was survived by her parents, five brothers, Kim of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Chris of St. Paul; Kyle and Cory of Grand Island; and Kerry of Fort Collins, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Gail Kroll Gail B. Kroll, 82, of Grand Island died Friday, March 19, 1999, at BryanLGH Medical Center in Lincoln.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
John Kruse
John F. Kruse, 69, of Grand Island died Thursday, March 18, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gretchen Diers will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the church or the family.
Mr. Kruse was born on June 1, 1929, in Grand Island to Fred and Frieda (Stueven) Kruse. He grew up near Grand Island and was educated at St. John's Lutheran School north of Grand Island. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1948.
After his education, he farmed in Hall County. He was inducted into the U.S. Marines on Dec. 5, 1951, in Omaha and served in the Korean War. He was discharged on Dec. 3, 1953, in San Diego. He then served six years in the Marine Corps Reserve.
He married
Ima Jean Nitsch on Feb. 19, 1961, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Mr. Kruse farmed in Hall County all his life. He enjoyed playing cards and dancing.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher; the Platt-Duetsche; the Eagles; and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also served on the 1-R School board and was an area board member of the Aurora Co-op.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Colleen J. Lewis of Spencer, Iowa; one son, Daniel J. Kruse of Grand Island; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Erma Wissing of Hastings, Vera Kelly of Northglenn, Colo., and Phyllis Long of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Sinner.
Willard Bush
OSCEOLA -- Willard Walter Bush, 79, of Osceola died Friday, March 19, 1999, at Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center in Osceola.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Palmer Funeral Home in Stromsburg. The Rev. Jeff Thurman will officiate. Burial will be in the Polk Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bush was born on Dec. 1, 1919, at the family farm near Osceola to Walter and Helga (Johnson) Bush. He graduated from High Prairie High School and then attended welding school in Sioux City, Iowa.
He married
Neva Anderson on Sept. 19, 1944, in Manhattan, Kan. They lived on the family farm. He worked on the farm and owned a blacksmith shop.
He liked horses, shop work and visiting neighbors.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Frank and Fred, both of Stromsburg, and Earl of Lincoln; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one infant son; a brother, Virgil; and a sister, Bernice Fitch.
