Clyde Price
BURWELL -- Clyde Robert "Bob Timer" Price, 83, of Burwell died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Burwell. The Rev. Roger Gillming will officiate. Burial will be in Cottonwood cemetery in Burwell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Eberle-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell.
Memorials are suggested to Bob Price Field, the Community Memorial Health Center or United Methodist Church.
Mr. Price was born on April 21, 1915, on a farm in Loup County to D.T. and Lydia (Weber) Price. He attended country school until 1923, when his parents moved into Burwell, where he graduated from high school.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He remained at home and helped his parents as custodians at the school. He worked for School District 15 until his retirement.
The school district presented him with many awards and dedicated the sports field as Bob Price Field.
Survivors include one brother, Harry of Nampa, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Viva Mayberry; and one brother, Roy Price.
John J. Wozab
ORD -- John J. Wozab, 87, of Ord died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at the Valley County Nursing Home in Ord.
Mr. Wozab was cremated. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Ord. The Rev. David Stipp will officiate. Military rites will be conducted at the church by the Ord Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Memorials are suggested to the nursing home.

Mr. Wozab was born on Aug. 14, 1911, in Ord to John and Mildred (Radil) Wozab. When he was 2 years old, the family moved to Lincoln, where he grew up. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1929. He worked as a shipping clerk for about two years before he was laid off during the Depression.
He then came to Ord for a visit, and it became his lifelong home.
He married
Alyce L. Parkos on June 2, 1934, at Wilber. He became a self-taught abstracter and Realtor and worked for a local abstract and title firm until World War II.
Mr. Wozab served in the U.S. Navy for three years. He then returned to Ord and purchased an abstract and real estate business, which he and his wife owned and operated for more than 45 years. He also served as Valley County veterans service officer for 46 years before retiring.
He was a member of veterans organization and also served in political offices. He also served as president of the Nebraska Title Association and director and president of the Protective Savings and Loan Association. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ord.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister.
Josephine Bandy
BROKEN BOW -- Mary Josephine Bandy, 76, of Broken Bow died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at Sandhills Manor Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow. The Rev. Cliff Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Memorials are suggested to the church or the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Miss Bandy was born on Feb. 9, 1922, at Garnett, Kan., to Albert and Nettie (Mottinger) Bandy. Her parents died when she was young. She graduated from Broken Bow High School and attended college at Hastings.
She worked for a time in the Custer County register of deeds office and also baby-sat for many families in Broken Bow.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include cousins, Ernest Spencer of Butte, Mont., William Mottinger of El Paso, Texas, and Vernon Mottinger of Ohio.
Charles Herzog
HASTINGS -- Charles E. Herzog, 90, of Villa Grace in Hastings died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at Villa Grace.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings. The Rev. Donald E. Boeschen will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview cemetery at Hastings.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings and one hour before services Monday at the church.
Mr. Herzog was born on Nov. 29, 1907, near Trumbull to John and Mary Elizabeth (Hein) Herzog.
He married
Viola E. Goesch of Sutton on June 3, 1931, in Ohiowa. He farmed in Clay, Fillmore and York counties.
He was an active church member. He was also a beekeeper and an avid amateur radio operator.
Survivors include his wife, of Hastings; one daughter, Dorothy Bauer of Hastings; two grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Bott of Hastings.
He was preceded in death by one great-grandson and four sisters, Alice Herzog, Grace Schultz, Elva Schultz and Margaret Pavey.
Donald Keezer
ERICSON -- Donald Keezer, 70, of Ericson died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, at his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Ericson. The Rev. James Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the Bartlett Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Bartlett American Legion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the family's choice.
Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keezer was born on Feb. 25, 1928, at Ericson to Omer and Francis (Schamp) Keezer. He grew up and attended school in Ericson.
He entered the Army Air Corps on May 14, 1946, and entered the Air Force in June 1946. He was stationed in Hawaii, the Philippines and Japan.
He married
Jane Carr on Aug. 14, 1950, at Red Cloud. He was discharged from the service on Oct. 16, 1951, and returned to Ericson.
He worked for the Arabia Wiese ranch in Cherry County before moving to Dannebrog and working on the Sherman Dam canals. They moved in 1962 to Doniphan, where he worked for Missouri Valley Construction on the Interstate 80 project. He worked for Nash-Finch in Grand Island for 27 years. He retired in February 1990 and returned to Ericson. He worked part time at the sales barn at Ericson.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising ducks and horses.
He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Ericson, a past member of the Ericson Village Board, a member of Bartlett American Legion Post 107 and a director of the national board of the Standard Quarter Horse Association.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rusty of Grand Island, Charlie of Monroe and Bruce of Ericson; six grandchildren; one step granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lottie Rowe of Vineland, N.J., Irene Woodworth of Ericson and Rosalee Svoboda of Dannevirke.
Doug Miller
DONIPHAN -- Doug Miller, 38, of Doniphan died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, as the result of a two-vehicle accident south of Grand Island.
Services are pending with Kepner-Roberts Funeral Home in Osceola.
Viola Smith
FULLERTON -- Viola A. Smith, 95, of Fullerton died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, at her daughter's home in Harvard.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Palmer's Funeral Home in Fullerton. Larry Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
