Heather Norman
WAUSA - Services for Heather L. Norman, 35, of Kearney, formerly of Wausa, will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Thabor Lutheran Church in Wausa with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Chapel in Wausa.

She died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Wausa.

Dale Pestel
WISNER - Services for Dale Pestel, 73, of Wisner will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner with burial in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and continue Wednesday after 9 a.m. at the church.

He died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Wisner Care Center.

Dean Smidt
WEST POINT - Dean Smidt, 48, of West Point died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church here with cremation to follow. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. Monday, with family present 5-7 p.m., at Stokely Funeral Home.

Sister Phyllis Wemhoff
Services for Sister Phyllis A. Wemhoff, 92, Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Humphrey, were July 3 at St. Francis Assisi Church with burial in Mount St. Francis Cemetery. The Sister of St. Francis died June 28, 2006, at the Mount St. Francis Nursing Center.

Letha Ragan
Services for Letha M. Ragan, 68, Hoskins, are pending at Johnson-Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. She died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at her home.

Judy Williams
Services for Judy A. Williams, 65, Greeley, Colo., were July 8 at Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary in Kearney with burial in the Sutherland Cemetery. She died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Heritage of Bel-Air in Norfolk.

Donald Hrdlicka
OSMOND - Services for Donald Hrdlicka, 70, of Osmond are pending at Stonacek Memorial Chapel at Osmond.

He died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Osmond General Hospital.

Mary Lienemann
PAPILLION - Services for Mary (Petrmichl) Lienemann, 81, Bellevue, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Papillion. Burial will be in the Cedar Dale Cemetery at Papillion.

Memorials to First Lutheran Church, American Diabetes Association, or the Alzheimer's Association.

She died on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in Bellevue.

She was born Nov. 19, 1924, in Omaha, the daughter of Rudolph and Marie (Novak) Petrmichl. Mary was preceded in death by husband Arthur. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Lorraine Lienemann of Bellevue, Barbara Velazques and Javier Melendez of Omaha; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Marsha Lienemann of Ayr and William and Tara Lienemann of Norfolk; her grandchildren, Bobby and Jana Lienemann, Oscar, Ligia, Noel, Tomas, and Logan Velazques, Elena and Dario Melendez, Andy, Mitchell, and Bailey Lienemann; and her brothers and sister-in-law, Carl and Mary Ann Petrmichl of Springfield and Jim Petrmichl of Madison, Wis.

Virginia Nelson
CLARKSON - Services for Virginia Nelson, 82, of Clarkson are pending at Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson.

She died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Clarkson.

Irene Warnemunde
WINSIDE - Services for Frances Irene “Dolly’’ Warnemunde, 100, Winside, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church here with burial in Pleasantview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home in Winside with family present 6-8 p.m.

She died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Heritage of Bel-Air in Norfolk.

Dolly, the daughter of David and Mary Elizabeth (Prince) Render, was born March 3, 1906, at Winside. She attended Winside High School.

On Jan. 7, 1926, she married Erwin Warnemunde, also of Winside, in Omaha.

Dolly worked as a telephone operator in Winside for several years. Dolly was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside and was active in the church choir and frequently played the church organ at worship services. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, flower gardening and music.

She was a resident of Winside until 1993 when she moved to The Meadows in Norfolk. In 2004, she then moved to Heritage of Bel-Air.

She is survived by three sons, Brad and his wife, Mary, of Cincinnati, Ohio, David and his wife, Nancy, of Winside and Dennis of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandsons and one granddaughter; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin, in 1977, four sisters, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Dwaine Weinrich
PIERCE - Services for Dwaine G. Weinrich, 67, of Pierce will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Stonacek Memorial Chapel here with interment at Prospect View Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Stonacek Memorial Chapel.

He died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Dwaine G. Weinrich was born April 9, 1939, at Pierce to Walter William Weinrich and Leona Besse Wragge. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended Ewing and Norfolk Public Schools to the 11th grade. He married Clara Billeter on April 11, 1959, at Yankton, S.D. They later divorced.

He drove truck for Nash Finch, Clark Brothers, Coke, TMC, Lenton Trucking, Gray Carriers and Cleo Lange Trucking throughout the years. He then farmed in the Pierce and Randolph area. He served on the Pierce Senior Center Board. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing bingo and cards.

Survivors include his fiancée and best friend, Linda Benson of Pierce; five children: Brenda and husband Bob Wiese of Pierce, Damon and wife Terri Weinrich of Norfolk, Barbara and fiancé Terry Riege of Norfolk, Beverly and husband David Jepsen of Lynn Center, Ill., and Sue and husband Tom Lodge of Meadow Grove; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Dwight and wife Karen Weinrich of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Velma and Vivian; and a nephew, Terry Weinrich.

Casket bearers will be Travis Weinrich, Jeff Waldow, Aaron Weinrich, Rex Hamilton, Lonnie Weinrich and Eric Waldow. The Rev. Olin Belt will officiate.

Lorene Bauer
VERDIGRE - Services for Lorene Bauer, 83, of Verdigre are pending at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Verdigre. Mrs. Bauer died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Alpine Village in Verdigre.

Garnette Gragert
ALBION - Services for Garnette Gragert, 72, formerly of Albion, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church here with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Petersburg. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.

She died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at a Lincoln hospital.

Garnette Eilene Gragert, the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Livingston) Gragert, was born Nov. 1, 1933, in Petersburg. She graduated in 1951 from Petersburg High School and received her teaching certificate from Wayne State College. She later returned to Wayne State where she received her degree in education.

She taught at rural Boone County schools, including District 62 east of Albion and Loretto, before teaching at Petersburg Public School and St. John’s Catholic School of Petersburg. In 1975, following the death of her parents, she moved to North Bend where she taught at Prague until her retirement in the late ‘90s. In 2005, Garnette came back to Albion to celebrate the District 62 reunion.

Garnette was a member of the Lutheran Church in North Bend. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Card Club. She enjoyed shopping, bowling, flowers and collecting bird houses.

Garnette is survived by her sister, Norma Carlin of Washington; sister-in-law, Betty Hawthorne of Albion; along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harold, Kenneth and Arnold; one sister, Nadiene; and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Larry Sydow will officiate.

Audrey Lauck
WAUSA - Services for Audrey Lauck, 79, of Wausa will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Golgotha Lutheran Church at Wausa with burial in Golgotha Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brockhaus-Scott Funeral Home in Wausa.

Mrs. Lauck died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Memorials are designated for the church building fund or cemetery fund.

Audrey Corrine (Frevert) Lauck, daughter of Carl and Emma (Wrick) Frevert, was born on Feb. 5, 1927, near Wausa. She was baptized and confirmed at Golgotha Lutheran Church at Wausa. She attended rural elementary school and graduated from Wausa High School in 1944. Audrey attended CE School of Commerce in Omaha before returning home to help on the family farm during World War II.

On Aug. 28, 1949, Audrey was united in marriage to Lawrence Lauck of Bigelow, Minn., at Golgotha Lutheran Church. They lived and farmed at Bigelow before settling at their current farm southwest of Wausa where they raised six children.

Audrey was a devoted Christian and gave many years of service to her church through Sunday school, Ladies Aid and LWML. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Her family recalls the years of home-baked goods, gardening, canning, sewing and gracious hospitality. She and Lawrence shared a hobby of loom rug making.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Lawrence of Wausa; six children, Brenda Lind and her husband, Richard of Osmond, Barbara Kliment and her husband, Gary of Lincoln, Loren and Kathryn Lauck of Bloomfield, Carla Shearon of Overland Park, Kan., Kevin and Corolla Lauck of Bloomfield and Kristine Robinson and her husband, Jerry of Wayne; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, LaVonne Peters and her husband, Luther of Wood River; a sister-in-law, Lois Frevert of Bloomfield; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Arlynn and Herman Lauck; her brother, Clifton Frevert; grandson, Jeffrey Kliment; and granddaughter, Susan Lind.

Irma Lenton
RANDOLPH - Memorial services for Irma Lenton, 101, Randolph, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church here with inurnment in the Randolph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home in Randolph.

She died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.

Fern Meier
RANDOLPH - Services for Fern Meier, 83, Randolph, will be at St. Frances Catholic Church here Monday at 10:30 a.m. with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday with a 3 p.m. Christian Mothers rosary and 7:30 p.m. rosary at Johnson Funeral Home in Randolph.

She died Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include three daughters, Pat Stratton of Lincoln, Sharon and Howard Timmerman of Osmond and Judy and Allen Lambing of Sioux City, Iowa; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack and Betty Blotz of Orville, Calif., and Don and Julie Blotz of Byron, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Lorena Blotz of Hollywood, Fla., and Charolette Meier of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles in December 1987, three brothers and three sisters.

The Rev. Ron Battiato will officiate.
