d. December 25, 2010
The son of Michael Dale and Sarah Madarassy was born Feb. 6, 2004, in Norfolk. He was a student at Bel-Air Elementary School. Johnathan loved the outdoors. He liked fishing, camping and especially gardening. Johnathan’s green thumb grew beans in his sandbox, using dirt and leaf compost he had created himself. He would have great fun with only bugs and dirt.
Johnathan was a very happy boy who would proudly introduce himself to all. Johnathan was devoted to the care of his pets: Gizmo the dog, Toby the cat, Cocoa the rabbit and Mater the tortoise. Johnathan thought it would be neat to combine his fondness for art and outer space and become the best astronaut painter.
In October 2009, Johnathan was diagnosed with pineoblastoma, a rare, malignant brain tumor. He received care from Omaha’s Children’s Hospital and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. His constant radiant smile will be remembered by all family, friends and hospital staff.
