Deanna R. Hill, 73
ALLIANCE - Deanna R. Hill, 73, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
She was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Alliance to Glenn and Neola (Gion) Hanna.
On Jan. 8, 1961 she was united in marriage to Richard Montague in Alliance and her three children were born to this union. On Jan. 2, 1981, she was united in marriage to Robert Hill in Alliance.
Deanna was a long time employee of WESTCO in Alliance working as a bookkeeper. She also enjoyed getting to know people through her Mary Kay business. Deanna was an avid runner and enjoyed competing in local runs. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren through their participation in activities.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Lilly) Montague of Wichita, Kan., her daughters, Lori (Charlie) Foster of Alliance and Sheri Montague of Scottsbluff. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Devin Montague, Jasey Foster, Matthew Foster, Ashton Johnson and Kristen Foster, her great-grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Icelin Johnson and June Foster. Her brother, John Hanna of Phoenix, Ariz., also survives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Schwab.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father John Kakkuzhiyil officiating. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday from at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Jane’s Closet at Box Butte General Hospital or the Alliance Senior Center.
Gary R. Stroeh, 66
Died: Wednesday, December 10, 2008, in Fremont
Gary was born January 2, 1942 in Luverne, Mn. to Raymond and Martha 'Schmuck' Stroeh. He was raised in Luverne. After his school he farmed and milked cows with his dad. Gary married Karen Kistler in 1962. They later divorced. Gary then married Rita Willard in 1998. Gary continued to live in Luverne until moving to Fremont in August of 2006 to be closer to family.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00am Monday December 15 at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9am until 11am at Ludvigsen Mortuary. A family gathering will be on Saturday December 20, in Luverne Minnesota at First Baptist Church from 2pm to 4pm.
Barbara Ferguson, 64
SCOTTSBLUFF - Barbara Jean Ferguson, 64, died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Regional West Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 25, 1951, at Alliance, was the only daughter of Edward H. and Margie F. (Ginkens) Burgess. She attended Ashby and Hyannis schools.
In 1967, she married the love of her life, Joseph Ferguson, who always affectionately referred to her as “Bobbie.”
Barb’s family and her faith were the top priorities in her life. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren. She embraced country living and worked hard as a ranch wife, enjoying the life she and Joe built together.
Barb truly embraced her faith and was an active member in the Hyannis and Scottsbluff Seventh Day Adventist churches.
She also worked at Regional West Medical Center in the Cancer Treatment Center.
Her survivors include her husband; sons Shawn Ferguson of Portland, Ore., and Bruce (Margo) Ferguson of Scottsbluff; grandchildren Luke and Shaylen Ferguson of Scottsbluff.
She also is survived by her brother Larry (Kendra) Burgess of Ashby; brothers-in-law Lee (Sheryl) Ferguson of Hyannis, Ted (Tricia) Ferguson of Ashby, Fred Michal of Hyannis, and Lyle Burton of Hyannis; sisters-in-law Melly (Dave) Sexson of Gordon, Lora (George) Jenkins of Mullen, Lola (Scott) Webster of Canada, Carol (Glenn) Kerrigan of Onalaska, Wash., Jan Burgess of Ashby, Charlaine (Butch) White of Ashby, Cheryl Burgess of Parker, Colo.; numerous nieces, nephews; and many other family and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill Burgess.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Hyannis Congregational Church, with graveside services to follow. There will be an additional memorial service at 5 p.m. Thursday, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Scottsbluff.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Festival of Hope in Scottsbluff or Grant County EMS in Hyannis.

Elizabeth C. Watchorn, 74
Died: Sunday, December 07, 2008, in Fremont
Elizabeth was born on October 3, 1934 to August and Erna (Gaek) Heller in Wisner, Nebraska. She grew up on the farm near Wisner, and graduated from Wisner High School. She attended the University of Nebraska where she received her certification in Food Service.
On April 17, 1955, Elizabeth was married to Ross Watchorn. They made their home on the farm east of Fremont. Prior to her marriage, she came to Fremont to work for the state welfare office (now known as the Dept. of Social Services). Later, after marriage, she worked as a substitute cook at Trinity Lutheran School here in Fremont. Eventually, she took over that position full time and retired 25 years later.
Elizabeth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont and was active in a variety of activities there. For 15 years she was involved with 4-H, and was a club leader with the Elkhorn Belles. She was also known for decorating cakes.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Myrna Urban, son-in-law Bill Tomlinson and niece Amy Heller.
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday (Dec. 10, 2008) in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dan Heuer and the Rev. Michael Meyer officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary is today (Tuesday-Dec. 9th) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 PM. Visitation will also be Wednesday morning at the church for an hour before the service.
