Hollie J. (Cline) Wilbur, 34 was set free from her 10 year battle with breast cancer on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 with a lot of her loved ones surrounding her.
Memorial service will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10 am at the North Shore Assemble of God, in Hastings with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation; Hollie’s wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.

Hollie was born to Bill Cline and Debra Clausen on February 5th 1980, in Hastings Ne. Hollie attended Hastings High School and went on to receive her GED and certifications as a nursing assistant and medication aide. She spent her time working as a caregiver before she fell ill but continued to always care for others and offer them any support they needed in their lives. Hollie was a natural caregiver at heart and will always be known for that.
In April of 2011, Hollie married Tory Wilbur in Holdrege, Ne. She was blessed with three amazing children, whom she loved more than life itself and continued to fight her battle in order to be here for them. Hollie will always be remembered for her loving heart, beautiful and contagious smile along with laughter and her ability to keep her strength through the hardest times. She was a fighter.
Hollie was survived by her three beautiful children; Brogen 14, Alex 12 and Haley, 6, a very dear friend, James Swedlund of Grand Island Ne, her Father and Step-Mother Bill and Jo Cline, Sister Cassandra Cline and Fiancé Zack and Brother Zach, Mother Debra Clausen, Sister Jessica Soucie and Brother-in-Law Nick along with their two children, MaCoy & Jaylinn all of Hastings, Ne. She is also survived by her Grandparents, Vern and Dorothy Cline of Hastings, Ne and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and dear friends who were also her family.
She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Cousin Cody, her Aunt Judy, whom she shared a very special relationship with and many other family members and friends.

Eleanor A. (Rosenau) Johnson Mohrlang, 89, of Village Greens 900 East B Street #210, Hastings, NE passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 20, 2004 in the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Rempp officiating. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery.
Visitation times Thursday March 18, and Friday March 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home.
Eleanor A. (Rosenau) Mohrlang was born May 29, 1914 to Elmer and Anna (Fricke) Rosenau on a farm in Adams County.
She graduated from Hastings High School in 1934. She married Wilford Johnson on November 3, 1938. They were married almost 40 years, as Wilford passed away October 23, 1977.
Eleanor was employed at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital for 20 years. She was very involved with the Eagles Auxiliary, holding various offices. She was also an honorary member of the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club.
She married Harold Mohrlang July 18, 1986 and Harold passed away November of 1996.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, Melvin D. & Bev Johnson and Robert W. & Jeneane Johnson of Hastings. One daughter and son-in-law Carolyn & Robert Henry of North Platte, NE. Seven grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Three sisters Evelyn Motley of Glenvil, NE; Bonnie Theesen of Hastings, NE; and Shirley Nelson of Inland, NE. Two brothers Dale Rosenau of Garden City, Kansas and Arnold Rosenau of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Gerald L. "Papa Bear" Blanchard

Gerald L. "Papa Bear" Blanchard, 75, of Autumn Park Apartments passed away Sunday, March 7, 2004 at his home. Services will be Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Russell Wolf officiating. Burial in the Blue Valley Cemetery near Ayr, Nebraska with Military Rites at Graveside. Visitation times will be Wednesday March 10, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday until service time at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home.
Gerald L. Blanchard was born December 20, 1928 to Ira and Verda (Thompson) Blanchard in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Gerald was raised in Trenton, Missouri when he was sixteen he moved to Hastings, Nebraska to work at the Naval Ammunition Depot. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Genevieve Douglas she passed away March 15, 1986. He was a truck driver for Strop Transportation, Sunflower Carriers, and Sprague Transportation.
Gerald was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Grand Island, NE.
He is survived by three daughters Joan Knisely of Hastings, Janet Cutino of Rathdrum, Idaho; and Danita Boutin of Hastings. One son Gerald G. Blanchard of Juniata, NE. Two step daughters. 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one grandson.

Joan Stauffer
Joan Stauffer, 85, of The Homestead, Hastings, Nebraska passed away Friday March 5, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Memorial Services will be Friday, March 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Higgins officiating.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. The remains were cremated.
Book signing Tuesday through Thursday March 9-11, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday March 12, 2004 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home.
Joan Stauffer was born July 16, 1918 to Weldon and Alvina (Lewis) Gale in Elm Creek, Nebraska.
Joan graduated from Elm Creek High School.
She managed a store for Fairmont Creamery in Elm Creek.
She married Harold Stauffer December 11, 1937.
They moved to Phillipsburg, Kansas in 1940 and moving to Hastings in 1945. Harold preceded her in death on April 27, 1997.
Joan was a member of First United Methodist Church and past member of Eastern Star. She was a volunteer Pink Lady at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by one son Dan Stauffer of Petaluma, California, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One brother Charles Gale of Lakewood, Colorado and one sister Betty Wells of Lakewood, Colorado.
Preceded in death by one son Dick Stauffer.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Home Health Care.

Gary Shaal
June 17, 1939 - May 19, 2013
Gary Neil Shaal, 73, passed away Sunday May 19, 2013, at his home in Gordon, Nebraska. He was born June 17, 1939 in Stuart, Nebraska, to Wilbur and Gertrude Shaal.
Gary grew up on a ranch in the Rocky Mountains near Evergreen, CO. He and his family later moved to a ranch near Sterling, CO, where he attended Sterling High School. Upon completion of graduation in 1957, Gary completed one year of college and then enlisted in the United States Army. He served for four years on an AR competitive shooting team in Europe.
After the service, he returned to the mid-west to join his brother Rol in training race horses. It was at this time that he met Jane Morris. They were united in marriage in 1964. From this union, they had four children; Michael (Lori) Shaal of Lincoln, NE, Mary Jane (Jay) Thies of rural Hay Springs, NE, Catherine (Neal) Hood of rural Gordon, and James (Kelcey) Shaal of Omaha, NE. Gary had eight grandchildren; Adrian Minzel of Scottsdale, AZ, Zachary Shaal of Lincoln, NE, Jackson Thies, Taylor, Samuel and Matthew Hood, and Noah and Riley Shaal. He has two nephews, John (Becky) Shaal and Tom (Sheri) Shaal and one niece, Edie Shaal. He leaves behind many friends and family who shared his love of the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister and brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, May 23, 2013, 10:00am at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, in Gordon, Nebraska. Inurnment burial was held in the Gordon Cemetery. A Rosary service was held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 7:00pm.
A memorial has been established in Gary’s honor for the Chadron Hospice and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 366 Gordon, NE 69343.
