DODGE - Memorial services for Louie Kampschneider, 64, of Dodge will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church here with private family interment of ashes at the parish cemetery. A vigil will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Dodge Memorial Park baseball field. Humlicek Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Elizabeth Scharfen
WEST POINT - Services for Elizabeth W. Scharfen, 101, of West Point will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church here with burial at St. Anthony’s cemetery at St. Charles. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home with a Guild and Christian Mothers rosary at 1:30 p.m and a wake at 7 p.m.
She died Monday, July 10, 2006, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Inez Smith
CLEARWATER - Services are pending at Huffman’s Snider Chapel here for Inez Smith, 97, Wakefield. She died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Wakefield Health Care Center.
Laura Beyer
Memorial services for Laura M. Beyer, 57, of Norfolk will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Home for Funerals with burial at DeLand Memorial Gardens in DeLand, Fla.
Mrs. Beyer died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare.
Laura was born on Aug. 10, 1948, in Deland, Fla., the daughter of Daniel and Dories (Moore) Knight. She graduated from Deland High School. She worked for Sherwood Medical in Deland.
She married
Ron Beyer on July 4, 1995, in Norfolk. The couple resided in Norfolk, and she worked for Moyer, Moyer, Egley and Warnemunde Law Firm in Madison and the Norfolk Daily News.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; two stepsons, Joseph Beyer and Jerod Beyer; one stepdaughter, Jenna Beyer; three grandsons, Tavin Johnson, Noah Riefert and Kyrell Jordan, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Eugene Knight and Wayne Knight, both of DeLand, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one stepbrother.
The Rev. Kim Kieter will officiate.
Bettie Armentrout
TILDEN - Services for Bettie F. Armentrout, 81, of Norfolk will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden with burial in the Tilden City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Armentrout died Sunday, June 9, 2006, at Faith Regional Health Services.
Dale Pestel
WISNER - Services for Dale Pestel, 73, of Wisner will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner with burial in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and continue Wednesday after 9 a.m. at the church.
He died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Wisner Care Center.
Dale LaVern Pestel was born Jan. 20, 1933, in Cuming County to Alvin and Flora (Krueger) Pestel.
He graduated from Wisner High School in 1950. Dale served in the U.S. Army from April 1953 to February of 1955. He returned home to operate the family farm until the spring of 1996 when he moved to Wisner.
On May 27, 1961, he married
Marion Elaine Sullivan of Lincoln at the Congregational Church in Wisner.
Dale was a member of the United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner.
Dale is survived by his wife, Marion of Wisner; a son, Kurt and his wife, Robin Pestel of Wisner; a daughter, Kris Pestel of Albion; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Kasey Pestel of Wisner; and one sister, Anita and husband Raymond Kracl of Fremont.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
Pastor Scott Evans will officiate.
Ellory Renner
SCHUYLER - Services for Ellory Renner, 57, of Linwood were July 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church here with burial in Linwood Hill cemetery under the direction of Svoboda Funeral Home.
He died Monday, July 3, 2006, at Butler County Hospital after a two-year battle with cancer.
Donations are directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
Ellory Renner was born April 19, 1949, in Columbus to Orley and Norma (Nadrchal) Renner. He was baptized on May 19, 1949, and confirmed on April 7, 1963, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howells. Ellory attended rural school in Stanton County and graduated from Clarkson High School in 1967. He served in the Army National Guard from 1967 to 1973.
He married
Lisa Keeler on May 13, 1972, at Christ United Methodist Church in Schuyler. They have farmed in the Linwood area since 1975.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder. Ellory loved his God, his family and working the land.
Ellory is survived by his wife, Lisa of Linwood; three sons, Brad (Sandy) Renner of Linwood, Brian (Gina) Renner of Bellwood and Tim Renner of Linwood; one daughter, Stacey (Mrs. Shawn) Wieseman of Silver Creek; seven grandchildren, Molly, Maddy, Norah, Claire, Henry, Alexis and Sophia Renner; his parents, Orley and Norma Renner of Howells; one brother, Elliott Renner of Howells; one sister, Lavaine (Mrs. Ron) Nathan of Omaha; his father-in-law, James Keller; nieces and a nephew.
Vicar Bill Mattfeld officiated with music by soloist Cindy Schwalenberg and organist Kathy Porath.

Gloria Warner

Mrs. Warner died Monday, July 10, 2006, at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk.
Clifton Bryant
Services for Clifton Leo Bryant, 48, of Norfolk will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Macedonian Missionary Baptist Church in Norfolk with burial in Alberry Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Home for Funerals.
Mr. Bryant died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Faith Regional Health Services.
Clifton was born on June 7, 1958, in Columbus, Ga., the son of David and Delores (Mack) Bryant. He was raised in Atlanta, Ga., and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1976. After working in construction for a several years, Clifton entered Southwest Community College of Atlanta and studied culinary arts. Following his graduation, Clifton was employed by the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta for nine years. He became disabled to due to an illness and moved to the Norfolk area to be closer to his relatives.
He is survived by his common law wife, Tracy Flannagan of Atlanta; his stepchildren, Dorothy, Randy and NeNe, all of Atlanta; his brother, Upton and Cassie Brown of Plainview; a number of nieces and nephews in Atlanta and the Norfolk area.
Clifton was preceded in death by his parents.
Pastor Jerome Wilson will officiate.
