LYNCH - Services for Verna Hopkins, 89, of Lynch are pending at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Lynch. Mrs. Hopkins died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Herman Kramer
STUART - Services for Herman H. Kramer, 85, Stuart, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church here with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday with a 7 p.m. prayer service and Knights of Columbus rosary at Seger Funeral Home in Stuart.
He died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Parkside Manor.
Doris Lindahl
NELIGH - Services for Doris Lindahl, 88, Neligh, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Congregational Church here with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with family present 4-6 p.m. at Beyer Funeral Home in Neligh. She died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Tilden Community Hospital.
Memorials are directed to Neligh Senior Citizens Center.
Doris Lorraine Binkerd was born Feb. 11, 1918, at Lynch to George and Pearl (Connelly) Binkerd. She moved to Neligh with her parents and two brothers in 1921. She graduated from Neligh High School in 1936. She worked for six years at the Antelope County Courthouse.
She was united in marriage to John Elmer Lindahl on Nov. 19, 1945, at Norfolk. They made their home in Neligh. To this union there were the blessings of three children, Karen Lou, John Robert and Sue Lorraine.
Doris was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Chapter CQ of PEO and was a leader of the Neligh Senior Citizens group.
Doris is survived by friends and family, including her children and their spouses, Karen and Ray Bay of Morrison, Colo., John and Eileen Lindahl of Waverly, Sue and Stan Petersen of Tilden; grandchildren and their families, Raelynn and K. Ardalan and Darius and Camron of Broomfield, Colo.., Jeffrey Bay of Morrison, Colo., Misty Petersen of Lincoln, John Lindahl of Citrus Heights, Calif., and David Lindahl of Waverly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers, Veldon, Cleo and Garold.
The Rev. Ray Avidano will officiate.
Kenneth Otte
WAYNE - Services for Kenneth F. Otte, 51, Norfolk, will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church here Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Schumacher-Hasemann Funeral Home is in charge.
He died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Faith Regional Health Services.
Kenneth Fred Otte was born May 20, 1954, to Raymond and Marjorie (French) Otte in Wakefield. He grew up on a farm north of Wayne. Ken attended rural school at District 61 in Wayne County, Wakefield Public School, graduated from Wayne High School and attended Wayne State College.
Ken was married
to Karen Barnes and they were later divorced. He owned and operated Northeast Nebraska Drywall in Norfolk. Ken was an avid wrestler, football player and loved all sports, including turkey and goose hunting and fishing. He was a women’s softball coach in Norfolk. Ken loved to cook and especially loved his dog, Murphy.
Ken is survived by sister, Carol (Mark) Griesch, and brothers, Dennis (Kerry) Otte and Gerald (Marilyn) Otte, all of Wayne, and Merlin (Marietta) Otte of West Point; 14 nieces and nephews; nine greatnieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and a greatnephew.
The Rev. William Koeber will officiate.
Ray Robertson Sr.
MADISON - Services for Ray D. Robertson Sr., 91, Madison, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church here with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Resseguie Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Countryside Home in Madison.
Ray was born on Feb. 1, 1915, at Lincoln, the son of Jesse and Bessie (Litke) Robertson. He graduated from Madison High School in 1934.
He married
Delda Maurer on Dec. 25, 1938, at St. John LutheranGreen Garden Church and then was a member of the first adult confirmation class in 1939 at Trinity Lutheran Church. He married
Irene Smith on July 2, 1973, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Keystone, Iowa.
Ray farmed north of Madison until moving to Countryside Home in July 2001. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, served on the REA board for 29 years and also on the Madison County fair board for several years.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Ray R. and Carol Robertson Jr. of Madison and Michael and Kathy Smith of Lakewood, Colo., and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife in 1969, his second wife in 2002, a daughter in 1967, one sister and one brother.
The Rev. Calvin L’Heureux will officiate.

Margaret Keenan
COUNCIL BLUFFS - Services for Margaret Jean Keenan, 77, Council Bluffs, Iowa, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church here with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be a 7 p.m. wake service Monday with visitation following until 9 p.m. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. She died Wednesday, April 12, 2006.Memorials can be directed to the church, St. Albert Schools and Duschene Academy in Omaha.
She was born June 13, 1928, in Omaha to the late Jesse and Agnes (Gentleman) Cranny. She graduated from Duschene Academy in Omaha.
Survivors include her sons, John Jr., Jesse and his wife, Beth, and Bill and his wife, Tina, all of Council Bluffs; daughters, Mary Tusha and her husband, Ken, of Creighton, and Carol Martin and her husband, Carl, of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and a sister, Mary Pat Diesing.

Vernon Leach
ALBION - Services for Vernon L. “Buddy” Leach, 72, Albion, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at United Church of Christ in Albion with burial at Mount Pleasant cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Levander Funeral Home in Albion. He died Friday, April 14, 2006, at Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion.
Vernon LeRoy “Buddy” Leach, the son of Vernon and Edna Brockman Leach, was born on March 27, 1934, at home east of Loretto, Nebraska. Vernon was cared for his whole life by his loving mother. Vernon had a love of birds and enjoyed bears.
On Friday, April 14, 2006, Buddy passed away at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion at 72 years of age. He is survived by his mother, Edna, of Albion, along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
Buddy was preceded in death by his father.
