WAKEFIELD - John H. Addink, 55, of Wakefield died Saturday, April 8, 2006, following an auto accident.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield with burial in the Wakefield City cemetery and military rites by American Legion Anton Bokemper Post 81. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m., with family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Bressler-Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield.
Angie Bennett
TILDEN - Services for Angie Bennett, 42, of Tilden will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Tilden with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden and continue at the church with a 7:30 p.m. memorial Mass.
Mrs. Bennett died Monday, April 10, 2006, at her home of cancer.
Katherine Korth
HUMPHREY - Services for Katherine J. Korth, 79, Humphrey, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church here with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, with a 3 p.m. rosary, at Duesman Funeral Chapel and 6-8:30 p.m. at the church with a rosary at 7 p.m.
She died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Faith Regional Health Services.
Memorials are directed to the Humphrey Rescue Unit.
She was born Aug. 15, 1926, at Trenton, Mo., to Clydie J. Pilcher and Flora Jones. She graduated from Trenton schools.
On April 8, 1950, she married
Francis J. Korth at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rock Island, Ill. They lived in Omaha and the Cornlea-Humphrey area. She was a homemaker and with her husband co-owned Cornlea Steak and Grog and owned Kate’s Kitchen at the Madison Foods meat plant.
She was past president of the Humphrey American Legion Auxiliary and member of St. Francis Church, St. Francis Ladies Quilters and Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed watching sporting events on TV.
Survivors include two daughters, Kristine (Tom) Hastreiter of Humphrey and Kim Korth and friend Gary of Columbus; four sons, Killian (Sue) Korth of Omaha, Kent (Carolyn) Korth of Humphrey, Larry Korth of Omaha and Kerry (Linda) Korth of Humphrey; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and sister, Thelma Black of Rodgers, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Francis on June 6, 1989, and brothers Joseph, Kenneth and Vernon.
Ella Miller
WINSIDE - Services for Ella Miller, 101, Winside, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church here with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Norfolk. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday with family present 5-8 p.m. at Schumacher-Hasemann Funeral Home in Winside.
She died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Heritage of Bel-Air in Norfolk.
Ella Minna Miller was born July 9, 1904, to Albert and Anna (Ohrmund) Hintz at Hadar. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Ella attended rural schools in Madison and Holt counties. She was a homemaker, caring for others, before her marriage.
Ella married
Adolf Miller on Feb. 18, 1925, at her parents’ home near Hoskins. The couple farmed six miles south of Winside until 1965 when they moved to Winside. Ella was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, charter member of Ladies Aid, former Sunday school teacher and past confirmation class instructor for 15 years. She belonged to the Winside Senior Citizens and card clubs. Ella enjoyed quilting.
Ella is survived by her son, Vernon and wife Lois Miller of Norfolk; daughter, LaJeane and husband Warren Marotz of Winside; son-in-law, Donald Matthes of Wisner; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, husband Adolf in 1966, daughter Delaine, three brothers and four sisters.
Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The Rev. Timothy J. Steckling will officiate.
Marleen Thor
WISNER - Services for Marleen (Mrs. John) Thor, 60, of Wisner are pending at Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner. She died Monday, April 10, 2006, at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

CROFTON - Services for Dorothy Tramp, 92, of Crofton will be Wednesday at 5 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m., with rosaries at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and a vigil at 7:30 p.m., at Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton. Visitation will continue 3:30-4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Dennis Lauver
Services for Dennis L. Lauver, former assistant police chief in Norfolk, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jim Brewer will officiate.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 35 and VFW Post 1644. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Home for Funerals.
Age 64, he died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at his home after battling cancer.
He was born to Donald and Alice Lauver at Norfolk on Dec. 24, 1941. He grew up on the family farm southwest of Norfolk and attended District 22 School.
He attended Battle Creek High School, graduated in 1959 and then attended Norfolk Junior College for one year before joining the U.S. Army and serving from 1960 to 1963. During his enlistment, he was a military policeman.
Upon his discharge, he worked one year for 7-Up Bottling before joining the Norfolk Police Division. During his 36-year career, he served as a patrol officer, captain and assistant police chief before retiring.
He was serving as a deputy with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Police Officers Association and the American Legion.
He was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Norfolk and served as an usher and trustee.
He married
Barbara (Faust) Olnes on May 22, 1994, at Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife; five sons and their spouses, Seth and Justice at home, Michael and Anne Lauver of Lincoln, David and Brenda Lauver of Virginia Beach, Va., and Steven and Teresa Lauver of Papillion; one daughter and her spouse, Julie and Tom Hansen of York, three stepsons and their spouses, Jason and Rhonda Olnes and Chris and Nikki Nedela, all of Burlington, Iowa, and Ryan Nedela of Norfolk; one stepdaughter, Angela Olnes of Norfolk; 17 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one brother and his spouse, William and Beverly of Battle Creek; two sisters and their spouses, Jeanette and Rod Anderson of Creighton and Shirley and Jim Drahota of Norfolk.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister.
