HUMPHREY - Kenneth Lubischer, 74, of Humphrey died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln.

Clifford Tichota
COLUMBUS - Clifford Tichota, 45, of Columbus died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
Services are pending at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.
Lucille Witte
CAMBRIDGE -- Lucille Witte, 85, died Tuesday (Oct. 30, 2001) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge.
She was born Oct. 25, 1926, in Norton County, Kan., to Warren and Viola (Miller) Bell. She attended county school in Norton County, and Norcatur High School.
On May 31, 1943, she married
Dale W. Brown in Phillips County, Kan. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1945, while serving in the armed forces in World War II. On Feb. 22, 1947, she married
Otis E. Ervin at Oberlin. He preceded her in death in July 1970.
On Aug. 24, 1971, she married
Herbert H. Witte. He preceded her in death in October 1985.
She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Cambridge, the Altar Society, Busy Bee Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion Auxiliary, Women's Club, and the Hospital Thrift Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; one brother, Robert Bell; and an infant sister, Gladys.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Anderson and husband, Robert of Cozad; one son, Steven Ervin and wife, Susan; one step-son, Marvin Witte and wife, Marlene of Hendley; one step-daughter, Mary Wilson and husband, Dale of Wilsonville; three sisters, Anita Morgan of Aurora, Colo., Adda England of Kearney, and Treva Riemenschneider and husband, "Bud" of Ocoee, Tenn.; one brother, Arvid Bell and wife, Nyla of Hendley; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Mel Rempe officiating. Interment will be at the Wilsonville Cemetery.
The rosary will be recited Thursday, 8 p.m., at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to the Respiratory Therapy of the Tri-Valley Health Systems, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Auxiliary, or to St. John's Altar Society.
Lockenour-Jones Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
Charles 'Charlie' Henry Clary
Charlie H. Clary, 95, died Monday (Oct. 29, 2001) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
He was born Oct. 2, 1906, at Orleans to John William and Emma Jane (Thurston) Clary. He started work at the age of 13 in a sugar factory at Bayrd where he worked for 13 years. He attended school through the eighth grade when he quit school to help his parents.
He helped build the railroad station in McCook, worked on a farm for four years, and then worked for the Monument Station for one year. In 1937 he worked at the McCook Hotel as a cook. In 1938 he started his own trucking business which hauled furniture, rolls of paper for the McCook Daily Gazette, and cattle. He did this until 1976 when he went to work for the West Sale Barn where he worked for five years. On Aug. 14, 1928, he married
Martha Clamp. They lived all of their married
lives in McCook. She preceded him in death on Aug. 8, 1969. In 1979 he moved to Greeley, Colo.
On July 22, 1980, he married
Effie Lammers at Greeley. He lived in Greeley until Jan. 4, 2000, when he returned to McCook.
He was a lifelong member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; both wives; one daughter, Doris at birth; six sisters, Daisy, Etta, Goldie, Mineria, Annie, and Effie; two brothers, Bert and Orvil; one step-brother, James; and one granddaughter, Kimberly.
Survivors include his children, Alice Marks and husband, Alton of Culbertson, Betty Sprenkle and husband, Bill of Phoenix, Ariz., Viola McBride of Colorado Springs, Colo., George Clary and wife, Diane of Coal Valley, Ill., and Delbert Clary and wife, Lillie of Englewood, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Edith Clary of McCook; 29 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 5 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name.

Paul Stonewall
DAVID CITY - Paul Anthony Stonewall, 27, of David City died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at David City.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Knott Funeral Home in David City with the Rev. Jack McDonald officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
There will be no visitation.
Mr. Stonewall was born Nov. 15, 1975, at Colorado Springs, Colo., to Abraham and Lucinda (Dubas) Stonewall.
He married
Rebecca Pelan on Aug. 27, 1999, at Seward.
He was a production worker at Timpte.
Survivors include his mother; his wife; two daughters, Nadiyah Stonewall and Tasia Stonewall; six brothers, Tony (Dawn) Stonewall of San Antonio, Stefan (Fay) Stonewall of Colorado Springs, Lincoln (Jeanine) Stonewall of David City, Michael (Amy) Shrader of Ulysses, Gary Shrader of Colorado Springs and Jason Shrader of David City.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Robert James; and his stepfather, Big Paul.
Joseph Bogus
FULLERTON - Joseph Bogus, 95, of Fullerton died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare in Fullerton.
Services are pending with Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton.
Marilyn Walker
COLUMBUS - Marilyn M. Walker, 75, of Columbus died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Morys Haven in Columbus.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Federated Church in Columbus with the Rev. Dorsie Ivy officiating. Burial will be at Columbus Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker was born June 11, 1926, in Syracuse to Merlin and Alice (Copenhaver) Balfour. She received her education in Nebraska City. She moved to Columbus in 1954. She was a longtime cook in the Columbus area, working in many restaurants. She owned the F & M Cafe.
She was a member of the church. She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Newell of Oregon, John Newell of Washington and Larry (Christine) Walker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Betty (David) Jacobson of Platte Center; four sisters, Margaret Farris of Arizona and Barbara Esser, Helen Rankin and Corrine Bryant, all of Nebraska City; one brother, Robert Balfour of Sidney; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Shirley; and one brother, Allison Balfour.
