Harold Neuhaus
SCHUYLER - Harold E. Neuhaus, 90, of Schuyler, formerly of Clarkson, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at the Extended Care Unit at Alegent Health Memorial Hospital in Schuyler.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian church in Schuyler with the Rev. Dana Stout officiating. Burial will be at Schuyler Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. today with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel in Schuyler.
Mr. Neuhaus was born Oct. 10, 1911, south of Leigh to Henry and Emma (Schroeder) Neuhaus. He attended Leigh schools.
He married
Lucille Wulf on March 1, 1941, at Omaha. He grew up in the Leigh area and moved to Omaha as a young man. He worked for several farmers and Omaha Steel. In 1946, he and his wife moved to Clarkson. They purchased a custom shelling and trucking business which they operated for many years. In 1949, they opened Neuhaus Implement in Clarkson, which was a Minneapolis Moline dealership. In the mid 1950's, the family spent a few years in California. They then returned to Clarkson. He owned and operated the Lone Star Bar for a few years and also worked for the county.
He was a member of the church and a past member of the Clarkson Fire Dept.
He suffered a stroke in Dec., 1992, and had been a resident at Extended Care since Jan., 1993.
Survivors include his wife of Schuyler; two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Kracl of Schuyler; and Shirley "Jean" (Vern) Petersen of O'Neill; one son, Richard (Roseann) Neuhaus of Schuyler; two sisters, Mildred Spulak and Hulda Dykes, both of Schuyler; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; four brothers, Herman Neuhaus, George Neuhaus, Arnold Neuhaus and Elmer Neuhaus and two sisters, Lillian Tofte and Frieda Hall.
Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church building fund.
Helen Bos
CLARKSON -- Helen Bos, 89, of Clarkson died Sunday, April 14, 2002, at Alegent Health Memorial Hospital in Schuyler.
Services are pending with Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson.
Verlene Dohmen
COLUMBUS -- Verlene Dohmen, 65, of Columbus died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at her sister's home in Fremont.
Services are pending with Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus.
Charlotte Graf Ruff
GERING -- Charlotte Graf Ruff, 95, formerly of Gering, died Thursday (Oct. 11, 2001) at the Mitchell Care Center.
She was born Oct. 6, 1906, at St. Petersburg, Russia, to Jacob and Maria (Lind) Graf. The family immigrated to the United States in 1907, when she was 10 months old. Her early childhood was spent in Lincoln, and then in the panhandle of Nebraska.
In 1923 she married
Fred Ruff. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; one son, Tom; and all of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include five sons, Jim Ruff and wife, Karen of Culbertson, Fred Ruff and wife, Shirley, and John Ruff and wife, Connie, all of Scottsbluff, Harvey Ruff and wife, Karen of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Gary Ruff and wife, Dorcas of Chamois, Mo.; one daughter, Imogene Stark and husband, Glenn of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; one daughter-in-law, Joanie Ruff Nienke of Bountiful, Utah; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Services were today at the Gering Memorial Chapel in Gering. Interment was at the West Lawn cemetery in Gering.

Mickey Boulton
COLUMBUS -- Mickey James Boulton, 22 months, of Columbus died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at Columbus Community Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Michael Klatt officiating. Burial will be at Columbus Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Friday at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
James 'Jim' W. Anderson
James "Jim" W. Anderson, 93, died Monday (October 22, 2001) at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton.
He was born March 15, 1908, at Denver, Colo., to Aurther Rolland and Charlotte Pearl (Harrison) Anderson. He attended McCook Public Schools.
On Oct. 16, 1929, he married
Arvilla B. Pate at Oberlin. He worked at the McCook Air Base and later was a custodian at McCook Public Library until his retirement in 1987. He had been living at the El Dorado Manor since 1999.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and a life-time member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arvilla on Jan. 17, 1972; one son-in-law, Lyle Zink; and two sisters, Mary Louise Humphrey and Helen Bollerup.
Survivors include two daughters, Avis Morell and husband, Rex of McCook, and Evelyn Zink of Grand Island; two sisters-in-law, Esther Pate Stone of Denver, and Eloise Pate of Lusk, Wyo.; three brothers-in-law, Fred Pate of Sheridan, Wyo., Philip Pate of North Platte and Ray Henry of Safford, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery.
The rosary service will be Thursday, 7:30 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel.
Visitation is today until 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m. until the time of the rosary service.
Memorials may be given in his name.

COLUMBUS -- Reynold A. Wicks, 82, of Columbus died Wednesday, Sept.12, 2001, at Columbus Community Hospital Inc.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.
Burial will be at St. Bonaventure cemetery in Columbus with military honors by Hartman Post 84 American Legion Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday and 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, all at McKown Funeral Home.

DUNCAN -- Christine Liss, 85, of Duncan died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at Genoa Long Term Care.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
