TECUMSEH - Thelma Lucille Vanwinkle, 76, of Columbus died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at the Columbus Community Hospital Inc.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh with the Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating. Burial is at the Tecumseh Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday, all at the funeral home.
Adeline McMahon
OMAHA - Adeline A. McMahon, 80, of Omaha died Thursday, March 23, 2000, in Omaha.
Services were Monday at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Omaha.
Mrs. McMahon was born June 9, 1919, in Schuyler to Amos and Anna Miller. She graduated from Columbus High School.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Richard) Alexander of Overland Park, Kan., and Nancy (Merle) Hoegermeyer of Omaha; one son, Tim (Debra) of Omaha; a daughter-in-law, Pearl Thorsteinson of Seattle; two sisters, Mildred Kerkmann of Omaha and Marguerite Smith of Florida; one brother, Robert Miller of New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Isabelle Miller of Grand Island; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John R.; a son, John R..; a grandson; and two brothers, Larry and Amos Miller.
Memorials are suggested to the Poor Clares Convent or St. Robert Bellarmine Education Fund.

Elizabeth Shelley
ALBION - Elizabeth Shelley, 95, of Hastings died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Village in Hastings.
Services are pending with Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Vernon Myers
GENOA - Vernon Myers, 67, of Genoa died Monday, March 27, 2000, at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Norfolk.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Genoa with the Rev. Hugo Westphal officiating. Burial is at the Valley View cemetery in Genoa with military rites conducted by the Edward H. Larson Post 144 American Legion.
Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Hasch-Patrick Funeral Chapel in Genoa.
Mr. Myers was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Grand Island to Lloyd and Nettie (Moore) Myers. He received his education at Fullerton Public Schools. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War as a combat engineer from 1951-53.
He married
Allison Rice May 2, 1953, in Central City. He was a lifetime resident of the Genoa and Fullerton area. He was a truck driver for Westrings & Son and for Wheeler Transportation for many years. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 144. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and CB communications.
Survivors include Allison Myers; two sons, Bruce (Carol) of Yankton, S.D., and John of Genoa; one daughter, Linda Wilson of Plainfield, Ind.; two brothers, Eugene of Fullerton and Leland of Plattsmouth; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one son; and one daughter.
Linda Clark
COLUMBUS - Linda R. Clark, 41, of Genoa died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at BryanLGH Medical Center East in Lincoln.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. John E. Nelson Jr. officiating. Burial is at Friend cemetery in rural Genoa.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark was born Jan. 23, 1959, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Dick and Della (Brown) Gaunt. She attended high school in Battle Creek.
She married
Steve Clark and had lived the last three years in Genoa. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; her parents of Columbus; two sons, Nicholas (Angela) Gaunt of Columbus and Thomas Kadlec of Genoa; a daughter, Tina Kadlec of Genoa; five brothers, Dan (Carla) Gaunt of Pierce, James (Wendy) Gaunt and Richard Gaunt, all of Genoa, Marvin (Joni) Gaunt of Norfolk and Steve (Julie) Gaunt of Columbus; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Edith Havlovic
BRAINARD - Edith B. Havlovic, 90, of Brainard died Friday, March 24, 2000, at St. Joseph's Villa in David City.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard with the Rev. Stephen Cooney officiating. Burial is at the parish cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. today at Holesovsky Mortuary in Brainard and after 6 p.m. at the church with a 7 p.m. rosary.
Mrs. Havlovic was born March 14, 1910, near Bruno to Raymond and Helen (Yindrick) Rerucha. She attended Holy Trinity School in Brainard.
She married
Joseph V. Havlovic Aug. 20, 1928, in David City. She was a housewife and a Butler County resident her entire life. She was a member of the church, PCCW, Christian Mothers and Pink Sisters.
Survivors include 11 sons, Brother Edward, SDS, of Milwaukee, Ernest, Joseph (Emily) and Jerome, all of Brainard, James (Elaine) of Stacyville, Iowa, Raymond (Orletha) of David City, Leonard (JoAnn) of Osceola, Bernard (Maureen) of Lewis, Iowa, Martin (Maria) of Menomonie, Wis., Edwin of West Milford, N.J., and George (Mary) of El Paso, Texas; three daughters, Sister Ernestine, N.D., of Weston, Marie (Larry) Mielak of Columbus and Catherine (Charles) Lavicky of Dwight; 29 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Francis; and three brothers, Leonard, James and Joseph Rerucha.
Travis Melliger
OMAHA - Travis D. Melliger, 17, of Omaha died Friday, March 24, 2000, at his home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Omaha.
There will be a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday at the church.
Travis was born Nov. 10, 1982, to David and Susie (Mrzlak) Melliger in Omaha. He attended Scotus Central Catholic High School in Columbus last year.
Survivors include his parents of Omaha; a brother, Michael of Omaha; and grandparents, Carroll and Doris Melliger of Columbus and Nick and Tag Mrzlak of Omaha.
Memorials are suggested to the Omaha Public Schools Foundation.

ALBION - Graveside services for Cade Isaac Wiederin, infant son of Michael and Karri (Andreasen) Wiederin of Norfolk, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Evergreen cemetery in St. Edward. The Rev. Carl Schultz will officiate.
Survivors include his parents; one brother, Ayden of Norfolk; grandparents, Wayne and Susan Andreasen of St. Edward and Larry and Sharon Wiederin of Arcadia, Iowa; great-grandparents, Darlon Cook and Elva Matchett, both of Albion, Doyle and Lois Andreasen of Genoa and John Kramer and Thelma Wiederin, both of Carroll, Iowa.

Maureen Puckett
COLUMBUS - Maureen Ann Puckett, 60, No. 6 Lake Point Drive, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at her home.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Federated Church in Columbus with the Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Puckett was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Nemaha County to Frank and Margaret (Polsten) Patrick. She received her elementary school education in Nebraska, her junior high education in St. Louis and graduated from high school in Pine Bluff, Ark.
She married
Gary Puckett Sept. 13, 1963, at Fort Walton Beach, Fla. She received her licensed practical nursing degree from Central Community College-Platte Campus. She worked at the Columbus Community Hospital Inc. for 25 years. She was a member of the church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fishing, exercising and travel.
Survivors include her husband; her mother of Silver Hill, Ala.; three daughters, Roxanne (Alan) Backes and Aimee (Terry) Michener, all of Columbus, and Sheri (Bill) Atkins of Corona, Calif.; two sons, Bill (Cindy) and Jim (Marsha), all of Columbus; one brother, Robert (Mary) Patrick of Germantown, Md.; one sister, Linda (Bernard) Thiem of Silver Hill; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; and one sister, Julie DeRyke.
