G. William Wilkins, 81 of Lincoln died Monday, April 14, 1997 in Lincoln.
Services were Thursday, April 17 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Lincoln.
Rev. Dan Safarik officiated. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park with military graveside rites by American Legion Post No. 3 and Masonic graveside rites by East Lincoln Lodge No. 210 AF & AM.
G. William Wilkins was born at Blair, Nebraska.
He was a retired chief of rural housing for the Farmers Home Administration and had worked for the Department of Agriculture for 35 years.
He served with the Army Air Corp 461st Bomb Group Headquarters Company during World War II.
He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, American Legion Post No. 3; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3616; the Scottish Rite, Sesostris Temple of the Shrine and was a past master of Creighton Masonic Lodge No. 100 AF & AM.
He was also an admiral in the Nebraska Navy.
Survivors are his wife, Murial A.; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Michael D. and Sue Wilkins, Lincoln and Dr. Leo R. and Kristy Wilkins, Ames, Iowa; a son and special friend and her daughter, Dr. Gerald W. Wilkins and Vicky Lee and Elizabeth Schoen, Lincoln; daughters and son-in-law, Marita F. and Chuck Burmeister, Lincoln and E. Joanne Wilkins, Denver, Colo.; 18 grandchildren, Jon and Jackie Burmeister, Blaine and Abby Burmeister, Shane and Amber Wahbeh, Jessica and John Wilkins, and Laura, Kari, Lisa, Katie, Luke, Lee, Kirk, Kody, Kyle and LeeAnn Wilkins; two great-grandchildren, Jon (Jack) Burmeister, II and Maggie Burmeister; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert F. Wilkins, Arlington; Joe and Toby Wilkins, Ennis, Mont. and Dr. Gene and Eileen Wilkins, Ennis, Mont. and sisters and brothers-in-law, Eva and Norman Pearson, Wahoo and Ruth and Gene Kruger, Elkhorn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James.
Pallbearers were Steve Brown, Ordell Hennings, Vance James, Clifford Kepler, Victor Kahm and Paul Sindt.

Niels Miller, 87

Niels Miller, 87 of Blair died Friday, April 11, 1997 after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Services were Monday at First Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Blair cemetery with military rites.
Niels Miller was born Nov. 27, 1909 in rural Herman to Soren and Mette (Petersen) Miller. He attended elementary school at the rural Glendale School. He served in the Air Force during World War II, and was a sergeant from 1942 to 1945. On Sept. 14, 1947, he married
Ethel Mae Ray. They farmed in the Glendale School District area until moving to Blair in 1995.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors are his wife, Ethel Mae, Blair; nephews and nieces, Arnold Frahm, Blair; Harold Frahm, Hemingford, Nebr.; Gladys Mallette, Lyons, Nebr.; Stanley Sydow, Percival, Iowa; Grant Sydow, Omaha; Eileen Hansen, Fremont; Anna Kruger, Omaha; Elaine Steenblock, Ankeny, Iowa and many great - nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Mary Ann; a brother, Chris Miller and three sisters, Christina Sydow, Cecelia Hansen and Rosina Hagge.
Campbell - Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Russel McDonald, 86

Russel J. McDonald, 86 of Wheat Ridge, Colo., died Friday, April 11, 1997.
Memorial services will be Sunday.
Russel J. McDonald was born March 14, 1911, the youngest of 11 children.
He was a truck driver for 40 years for Denver Chicago, a Blair - based trucking company, starting in 1939.
In 1955, he moved his family to Denver, Colo. He retired in 1970.
Survivors are his wife, Helen; sons and daughters - in - law, Jim and Sharon and Mickey and Eva; four grandchildren, Kevin, Rusty, Mickey, Jr. and Jill; one great - grandchild, Nathan, all of Denver; one sister, Myrtie Olson, 90 of Tekamah and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
His parents; and nine of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Newcomer Family Mortuary and Crematory in Lakewood, Colo., is in charge of arrangements.
Ralph John Sudman, 68
Services for Ralph John Sudman, 68 will be Saturday, April 19, 1997, at his home in Eustace, Tex.
He is survived by his wife, Dee Sudman, Eustace; former spouse, Jean Larsen, Blair; sons and daughters, Connie Scott, Omaha; Michael, Bedford, Tex.; Linda Nelson, Fort Calhoun; Ken, San Diego, Calif.; Rick, Pleasanton, Calif.; Kris Cameron and Kathy Hathaway, Woodland, Park, Colo.; Lisa Webber, Lincoln; Allan, Chesapeake, Va.; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and John and a granddaughter.
Lester Logemannn, 79

Lester B. Logemann, 79 died Friday, April 4, 1997 at Elkhorn Manor in Elkhorn.
He was born May 17, 1917 on the home place south of Bennington to Wilhelm and Elsie (Petersen) Logemann.
He was baptized on Aug. 31, 1919 and was confirmed on March 20, 1932 at Zion Lutheran Church.
He received his education in a rural school in Douglas County through the eighth grade.
He was one of the first farmers to make terraces on his farm in Douglas County.
On Feb. 16, 1941, he married
Dorothy Sorensen.
After farming for 38 years, he retired and they moved to Bennington.
He had suffered from Parkinson's Disease for over 11 years after having heart surgery in October of 1985.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington.
He served on the Church Council, was on the ASC Committee and was a Lion's Club member.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Bennington; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Carol of Decatur, Ill. and Darrell and CoeLeta of Bennington; three granddaughters and their spouses, Kristi and Darwin Reiswig, Jacqueline and Jeff Stork and Juli Logemann; one great-grandson, Justin Stork; one brother, Russell and a sister, Lorene Andersen.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church and the Bennington Rescue Squad.
