Erna Matzen, 86 of Ft. Collins, Colo. died Friday, March 28, 1997.
Survivors are a granddaughter, Megan Matzen of Ft. Collins; a sister, Mrs. Freda Wiese of Elkhorn and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert and her husband, William.
Hazel Ninegar, 101

Hazel Ninegar, 101 of Blair died Sunday, April 6, 1997 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Hazel Ninegar was born Feb. 20, 1896 at Hastings, Nebr., to William and Della (McCulloch) Williams. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1913.
On Nov. 7, 1914, she married
Charles Ninegar at Lincoln, Nebr.
She worked for the Bench Chemist Control Laboratory for 15 years and was foreman at the Beet Laboratory at Bayard, Nebr. She had lived in Hastings, Nebr.; Spencer, S. D.; and Bayard and Blair, Nebr. during her lifetime.
She was member of the Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun; Order of Eastern Star; American Legion Auxiliary and Woman's Club.
Survivors are her daughter and son - in - law, Helen and Etlar Olsen, Blair; a son and daughter - in - law, Dr. Louis and Bethine Ninegar, Kearney, Nebr.; a daughter - in - law, Twilla Ninegar, Woodland Hills, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great - grandchildren and two great - great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta Ninegar Gooler; a son, Thomas Ninegar; her parents, husband and a twin sister, Helen Oberle.
Memorials may be given to the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church or the Good Shepherd Home Chapel.
Mathias Johnsen, 89

Mathias J. Johnsen, 89 of Omaha died Sunday, March 30, 1997.
Services were Tuesday, April 2 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Omaha. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Johnsen was born Jan. 23, 1908.
Survivors are a daughter, Bev Johnsen, Valley, Nebr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Linda of Bellevue; a brother, Raymond of Bennington; two sisters, Gladys Matzen and Leona Wiese, both of Blair; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the church.
Kremer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Allegra Baltzell, 95

Allegra Baltzell, 95 of Blair died Sunday, March 30, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Graveside services were Wednesday at the Blair Cemetery.
Baltzell was born Dec. 12, 1901 in Illinois to Silas and Ada (McCullough) Baltzell.
She is survived by a brother, Leslie Baltzell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and Mary Jacobs.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Lois Braun, 65

Lois Braun, 65 of Blair died Saturday, March 29, 1997 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.
Services were at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial was in Forest Lawn cemetery in Omaha.
Braun was born April 30, 1931 at Salem, Nebr. to Frank and Georgia (Romine) Martinosky. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Falls City, Neb. On May 10, 1954, she married
Benjamin Braun at Falls City. She lived in Omaha from 1954 to 1988, at which time she moved to Blair. She had been employed as a secretary for Michael Platt for 30 years.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Kim Braun, Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, BenNetta and Sam Taylor, Blair; grandchildren, Frankie Braun, Brandi Braun, Kristy Braun, Carrie Braun, Benny Braun, Joey Braun, Matthew Braun, Lisa Goslin and Julie Goslin; one brother, Donald Martinosky, Dawson, Neb. and a sister, Imogene Munson, Everette, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in June of 1983; and a sister, Frankie.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Emma Farnberg, 98

Emma Farnberg, 98 of Blair died Thursday, March 27, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services were Monday at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Farnberg was born Jan. 18, 1899 in Kennard to John and Christina (Polsen) Monson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She attended Brewster School, Dora Black's Sewing School and Charlie Gaydou's Business College. On May 3, 1922, she married
William Farnberg in Kennard. She worked as a bookkeeper at the local Savings and Loan for S. W. Chambers and in later years for the Washington County treasurer. At one time, she and her husband owned Farnberg Plumbing and Hardware and the Bowling Alley in the Vinton Garage basement. She had resided at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home since January of 1994.
Survivors are a daughter-in-law, Laura Farnberg of Blair; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Jim; and eight brothers and sisters.
Ralph Petersen, 80
3/8/17 - 3/28/97
Ralph Raymond Petersen, 80 died Friday, March 28, 1997 in St. George, UT. Services were Tuesday at Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas, Nev. Burial was in Paradise Memorial Gardens in Las Vegas.
Petersen was born March 8, 1917 in Arlington to Herman and Nettie (Wilkins) Petersen and was raised in the area. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years and in the U.S. Naval Reserves for two years. He worked as an air traffic controller for many years, retiring as chief air traffic controller from McCarran Airport in Las Vegas. On Feb. 8, 1943 he married
Claudia Myers in Ely, Nev.
Survivors are his wife, Claudia; four children, Clark and Jack, both of Las Vegas; Gary, Minneapolis, Minn. and Debbie Lewis, Washington, UT; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Iva Note, Edmonds, Wash.
Arrangements were under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
