Marian Wager, 93

Marian C. Wager, 93 of Altamonte Springs, Fla. and formerly of Arlington, died Saturday, July 26, 1997 at the Florida Living Nursing Center in Apopka, Fla.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Reckmeyer - Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Rev. Lee J. Milligan is officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.
Marian C. Wager was born Feb. 29, 1904 in Fremont to Douglas and Myrtle ( Green ) Edwards. She grew up and lived in Arlington until moving to Florida in 1980. She had worked as a chief telephone operator for the former Hunt Phone Co. at Arlington. She married
Vernon G. Wager in 1939.
She had been a member of the former first Methodist church at Arlington.
Survivors are a son, Robert Wager of Altamonte Springs; a sister, Elizabeth C. Reynolds of Seattle, Wash.; one grandchild and one great - grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon, on March 26, 1967; and a brother, Earl Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Leon Sperling, Fred Heuerman, Paul Menking and Gary Auch Moedy.
Memorials may be given to Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 52 A. F. & A. M. of Arlington.
Walter Maximillian Mantler

Rev. Janice Japp and Dr. Edward Mantler of Springfield are the parents of a son, Walter Maximillian, born July 1, 1997, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He weighed seven pounds, 14 ounces, measuring 21 inches long.
His grandparents are Walter and JoAnn Japp of Kennard and Helen Mantler of San Bruno, Calif. His great - grandparent is Marie Japp of Blair. "We're going to continue to make these programs available."
Taressa Lela Benham

Kyle and Candace Benham of Shepherd, Montana, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Taressa Lela, born May 17, 1997, in Billings, Montana.
Taressa weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 21 3/4 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Junior and Annette Schnuelle of Blair.
Her paternal grandparents are Gary and Jeri Benham of Flagstaff, Arizona, formerly of Elkhorn. Her maternal great - grandparents are Lela Schnuelle of Postville, Iowa, and Hazel Biesker of Denver, Colorado.
Her paternal great - grandparents are Verna Taylor of Wichita, Kansas, and Beulah Benham Bollish of North Platte.
Reuben Kay, 89

Reuben W. Kay, 89, former resident of Washington County, died Thursday, July 17, 1997 at the Citadel Care Center in Mesa, Ariz.
Private services were conducted by Wyman Cremation and Burial Chapel of Mesa.
Reuben W. Kay was born to Carl and Ida (Moeller) Kay on Jan. 23, 1908. He was a farmer and cattleman on the family farm in southeast Washington County for most of his life. In the 1960s, he went to Arizona and settled in the Mesa area several years later. He had been a resident of the Citadel Care Center for several years.
Among his survivors is his niece, Ilene Kay Ewoldt Kirk of Omaha.
John F. (Jack) Eriksen, 77

John F. (Jack) Eriksen, 77, of Herman died Sunday, July 20, 1997 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Herman Legion Hall. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Home.
Eriksen was born March 8, 1920 near Herman to John B. and Emma Weber Eriksen. He attended the New England and Herman Public Schools. He lived all his life in the Herman area, farming and driving grain and livestock trucks and a fuel truck in later years. He served on the New England School Board for many years. He was a member of the Herman Fire Department; served on the city council and held the position of mayor for several years. On June 12, 1942, he married
Evelyn Erikson.
He was a member of Herman Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Herman where he received his 50 - year pin in December of 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughters and sons - in - law, Phyllis and Roger Barber, Herman and Susan and Jerry Litwak, Bellevue, Neb.; a son and daughter - in - law, John and Lou Eriksen, Tekamah; seven grandchildren, Trish and Richard Hansen, Tracie and Kevin Jackson, all of Omaha; Justin and Christine Eriksen of Tekamah and Emily and Sara Litwak of Bellevue; two great - grandchildren, Allison and Paige Jackson of Omaha; and two sisters, Liberty Clements, Herman and Jeraldine Svoboda of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Campbell - Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
Rebecca M. Sanchez was born Aug. 10, 1974 at Ft. Riley, Kan. to Jose and Janice ( Hatton ) Sanchez. She attended Herman Grade School and Tekamah High School. She was a certified nursing assistant.
Survivors are her son, Bryson Gragg of Omaha; mother and step - father, Janice and Richard George of Omaha; father, Jose Sanchez; sister, Alicia Wederquist of Omaha; grandfather and step - grandmother, Bryce and` Sharon Hatton of Herman and grandmother, Peggy Hatton of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Paddy Regan Burns, 42

Paddy Regan Burns, 42, of Omaha died Tuesday, July 8, 1997 in Omaha.
Graveside services were held Friday at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Rev. James Schwertley officiated.
Paddy Regan Burns was born March 4, 1955 in Omaha to Robert and Muriel (Hobday) Burns. In 1960, he and his family moved to Fort Calhoun, where he attended school. He joined the U. S. Army in 1972 and served four years, part of that time in Korea. After leaving the service, he was employed in the construction trade. On April 25, 1983, he married
Linda Conklin in Dallas, Tex.
Since the onset of his illness, he was unable to work, but volunteered his time at the Omaha Food Bank.
Survivors are his wife, Linda; a son, Brian; daughter, Stacie; his father, Bob Burns; three brothers and sisters - in - law, Gary and Jean of Omaha; Tim and Annett of Lincoln and Kevin of Fort Calhoun; one sister, Dixie Humphrey of Fort Calhoun and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Muriel and one brother, Bob.
Nicholas Olson

Nicholas K. Olson, 16 of Blair died Thursday, July 10, 1997, in a two - vehicle accident about two miles southeast of Blair.
Services were Monday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. R. Joe Marek officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Nicholas K. Olson was born Dec. 2, 1980 in Ames, Iowa to Mark and Deana (Fauscett) Olson. He would have been a junior at Blair High School this fall. He was active in the BHS Drama Club and participated in both school and community plays. He was also in the Odyssey of the Minds program and Show Choir.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Youth Group and Student Venture. He was also a member of the Mistic Groove Band.
Survivors are his father, Mark of Blair; his mother and step - father, Deana and Jeff Taylor of Norfolk; two sisters, Melissa and Emma of Norfolk; grandparents, Marvin and Helga Olson of Ankeny, Iowa and Everett and Jerrie Vaughan of Des Moines, Iowa; a great - grandfather, Marvin C. Olson of Los Fresnos, Tex. and a great - grandmother, Beatrice Wingo of Rogersville, Mo.
Memorials may be directed to the Blair High School Music and Drama Club, First Lutheran Church Youth Group or Student Venture.
Campbell - Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
