Robert F. Elliott, 85

Robert F. Elliott, 85 died of heart failure in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Aug. 22, 1911 in Omaha to Robert and Anna (McCune)Elliott. He was a graduate of North High School and attended Omaha University, Nebraska University and Creighton University. He was an All American. He worked in quality control on aircraft, B29's, D47's and B52's, Sputnik and missile sites.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marie Gerstel Elliott; three children, Robert Elliott of Valley, Neb.; Margaret Melotz of Blair; and Sandra McCoy, Memphis, Tenn.; a son-in-law, who cared for him, Charlie McCoy; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Clarke Elliott of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Gene Elliott and Terry Elliott.

Eldora Sorensen, 87

Bonnie Eldora Sorensen, 87 of Blair and formerly of Kennard, died Tuesday, July 8, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.
Bonnie Eldora Sorensen was born April 9, 1910 in Avon, South Dakota to Walter and Anna Mae ( Thomas ) Dempsey. She graduated from Hooper High school in 1927.
On Jan. 21, 1931, she married
to Ola F. Sorensen. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard and Donald, both of Omaha; five grandchildren; two great - grandchildren and one sister, Bernice Battiato of Omaha.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Lorraine Holmes, 85

Lorraine B. Holmes, 85 of Fremont died Tuesday, June 24, 1997 at Arbor Manor in Fremont.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Dr. Stanley Menking will officiate. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Lorraine B. Holmes was born July 7, 1911 at Kennard to David and Jennie ( Stewart ) Pritchard. She grew up at Kennard. She lived in Chicago for 14 years. During World War II, she worked in a factory in Chicago. She moved to Blair in 1943 and then to Omaha in 1957. She was a checker for 14 years at the Safeway Grocery Stores in Blair and Omaha. She moved to Fremont in 1967 and worked at the former Tempo Store from 1968 to 1970.
On Oct. 8, 1929 she married
Keith J. Menking at Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death April 13, 1963. On Sept. 8, 1965, she married
Rolland B. Holmes in Omaha. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1994.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont and the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 200 Auxiliary in Fremont.
Survivors are two sons, Dr. Stanley J. Menking of Dallas, Tex. and George D. Menking of Santa Fe, N.M.; step - sons, Bernard Holmes of Chester, Mont.; Roger Holmes of Omaha and Larry Holmes of Kirkland, Wash.; two step - daughters, Nancy ( Mrs. Don ) Hadan of Round Rock, Tex. and Cynthia ( Mrs. Arthur ) Ray of Nickerson; two sisters, Beatrice ( Mrs. Perry ) Eggers of Yakima, Wash. and Maxine Ericksen of Anaheim, Calif.; a brother - in - law, Walter Jensen of Fremont; 27 grandchildren and several great - grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by a brother, David Pritchard and four sisters, Edith Anderson, Jean Baker, Davena Bailey and Bernice Jensen.
Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
D.C. Rogert, 74

D. C. Rogert, 74 of Maysville, Mo., died Monday, July 7, 1997 at the Cameron Community Hospital in Cameron, Mo.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bram Funeral home in Maysville. Burial will be in the Bethel Church cemetery in Weatherby, Mo.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
D. C. Rogert was born Dec. 18, 1922 in Herman to Charles and Emma ( Pedersen ) Rogert. He was a retired farmer and also sold used farm equipment.
On Aug. 15, 1942, he married
Anna Virginia Voetmann at Ringsted, Iowa.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Virginia, Maysville; two sons, Rodney, Ames, Iowa and Rande of Kalispel, Mont.; one daughter, Roxanne Riley of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Lola Jensen, Blair; two grandchildren and one great - grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Norman and a sister, Gladys Janssen.

John Coe, 43

John Nicholas Coe, 43, of Omaha, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, following a sudden heart attack.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
John Nicholas Coe was born Dec. 28, 1953 in Omaha to Dean and Mary Coe. He grew up in Fort Calhoun and attended Fort Calhoun Schools. He had worked in Blair prior to starting his own ceramic tile company, John Coe Tile and Marble Co. He was married
to Judy Henderson of Blair.
Survivors are his wife, Judy and children, Laurie, Brian and Catherine, all of Omaha; his parents; brothers, sisters and spouses, Thomas and Kita Coe, Lake Havasu, Ariz.; Sandy Jensen, Omaha; Marvin Coe, Tucson, Ariz.; Michael Coe, San Diego, Calif.; Richard Coe, Omaha; William Coe, Dallas; Susan and Pat Kieney, Phoenix, Ariz.; Jeanette Coe, Blair; brothers - in - law, sisters - in - law and spouses, Gary and Joyce Navrkal, Bellwood, Neb.; Larry and Sandy Agler, Monroe City, Ind.; Barry and Bobbie Preston, Houston, Tex.; Jean McPherson, Red Cloud, Neb.; Mike and Patty Kozisek, David City, Neb.; Tom and Robin Henderson, Yorktown, Va.; Dan and Peg Hough, Bellwood; his mother - in - law, Helen Henderson, Bellwood; and 28 nieces and nephews.

Walter Gieselmann, 91
1/27/06 - 6/20/97 Walter H. Gieselmann, 91 of Arlington died Friday, June 20, 1997 at Arbor Manor in Fremont.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. Rev. Dennis Maaske is officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Gieselmann was born Jan. 27, 1906 in rural Arlington. He grew up and lived in rural Arlington, farming nine miles north and two miles east of Arlington from 1934 until retiring in 1983. He moved into Arlington at that time and lived there until moving to A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont in July, 1995. He moved to Arbor Manor in Fremont in October, 1995. On Feb. 18, 1934, he married
Lora Anna Hokamp.
He was a life member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife, Lora of Fremont; a son and daughter - in - law, Melvin and Lois Gieselmann of Arlington; a daughter, Eileen Breithaupt of Blair; two sisters, Nora Franke and Edna Bartling, both of Fremont; five grandchildren and 10 great - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anna ( Beugholt ) Gieselmann; four brothers, William Gieselmann, Edward Gieselmann, Martin Gieselmann and Paul Gieselmann; and three sisters, Martha Flake, Elsie Greunke and Ella Gieselmann.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the Arlington Rescue Squad.
