Laura Ellen Haynes, 94 of Omaha died Monday, July 14, 1997 at the Community Care America at Ashland, Neb.
Services were Aug. 7, 1997 at Kremer Funeral Home, to accommodate delays necessary for two of her children who were traveling in Europe. Her cremains will be interred at the Pierce Chapel cemetery near Clarks, Neb.
Laura Haynes was born Sept. 30, 1902 in Belvidere, Tenn. to Minnie ( nee Umbaugh ) Minerva and William Henry Bishop. She attended school in Tennessee and graduated from high school in Wincheter, Tenn. in 1923. On Feb. 11, 1928, she married
Everett ( E.M. ) Montgomery Haynes in Belvidere. They made their first home in Merrick County, Neb. for 17 years and then moved close to Fontanelle. They moved southeast of Blair in 1949 and then to Omaha in 1975.
She is survived by one son, Laverne; two daughters, Mary Miller and Lois Wernimont, all of Omaha; five granddaughters; one grandson; seven great - grandsons and two great - granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett on March 26, 1989; her parents; one daughter in infancy; two brothers and one sister.

Pam and Shawn Petersen of Blair are the parents of a daughter, Jenna Elisabeth, who was born July 17, 1997, at Children's Hospital in Omaha. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces, measuring 19 inches long.
She joins three brothers, twin boys Tyler and Chad, 9; and Jerod, 5.
Her grandparents are Noel and Ruby Petersen; Richard and Linda James; and Jerry and Charlotte Meadows, all of Omaha.
Her great - grandparents are Immanuel Petersen of Oregon, Wis.; David and Eveliene Hanson of Hastings; Josephine Wineinger of Omaha; and L.B. and Ruby Meadows of West Virginia.
Morgan Elizabeth Lee

Stacy and Chris Lee are the parents of a daughter, Morgan Elizabeth, who was born Aug. 6, 1997, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. She weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces, measuring 21 1/2 inches long.
She joins two sisters, Madison, 3; and Makenzie, 1 1/2.
Her grandparents are Bill and Mary Kunes; Mike and Jane Woodard; and Christine and Darrell Lee, all of Blair.
Her great - grandparents are Joe and Sharon Allen of Blair; Jim and Kay Woodard of Blair; and Grace and Jesse Wallace of Omaha.
Cora Ray
Cora Ray of Omaha/Fremont died Tuesday, August 12, 1997.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hanscon Park Methodist Church in Omaha.
Survivors are her daughter, Arlene Bouslaugh of Fremont and formerly of Blair and grandchildren, Sue Ball of Lincoln; Joe Bouslaugh of Sulfer Springs, Tex.; and Mary Lottman and Coralea Triplett, both of Fremont.
Lora Beaumont, 85

Lora L. Beaumont, 85, died Wednesday, August 6, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair, where she had been a resident for the past 6 1/2 years.
Services were Saturday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Lora L. Beaumont was born Jan. 14, 1912, in Omaha to Roy F. and Margaret Keenen Davis. She spent her childhood and most of her adult life in Des Moines, Iowa.
On Sept. 29, 1931, she married
William C. Beaumont. They lived in Des Moines until moving to Blair in 1985.
Survivors are her daughter, Helen Benton of Blair; a son, William C. Beaumont, Jr., of Miami, Fla.; one sister and one brother in Des Moines; one brother in Florence, Ore.; nine grandchildren and 13 great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Jean Curnes.
Memorials may be given to the Chapel Building Fund at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
Kremer Funeral Home in Omaha was in charge of arrangements.
Johnnie Daniels, 59

Johnnie E. Daniels, 59 of Blair died Friday, Aug. 8, 1997 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Services were Monday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Johnnie E. Daniels was born Jan. 2, 1938 in Blair to James and Anna Marie ( Metzler ) Daniels. He attended Blair Community Schools.
On Sept. 12, 1955, he married
Ruth Jaeger in Tekamah, Neb.
He worked for Conrad Oil, Foley Oil, the city of Blair, Concrete Equipment Company and was a heavy equipment operator for the Washington County Roads Department.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth of Blair; sons and daughters - in - law, Richard and Sheila of Cairo, Neb.; and Jerry and Paula of Manhattan, Kan.; a daughter and son - in - law, Peggy and Tim Eastwood of Blair; three grandchildren, James Eastwood and Michael Eastwood, both of Blair and Johnny Daniels of Cairo, Neb.; a brother, Charles of Barnett, Mo.; and sisters, Doretha Ward, Anna McIntosh and Edna Metz, all of Blair and Eloise Smay of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Harry Fankhouser, 79

Harry C. Fankhouser, 79 of Blair died Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997 at his home in Blair.
Services were Monday at First Christian Church.
Harry C. Fankhouser was born March 11, 1918 to Vernon and Nellie ( Jensen ) Fankhouser.
On July 4, 1960, he married
Iola Barber.
He farmed, owned and operated a grain elevator in the Tekamah - Herman area until his retirement when he moved to Blair.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors are his wife, Iola; three daughters, Geraldine Chipman of Frederick, Md.; Carly Momohara Fankhouser and Roselyn Fankhouser, both of Lincoln, Neb.; two step - sons and their wives, Roger and Phyllis Barber of Herman and Rodney and Leslie Barber of Omaha; grandchildren; great - grandchildren and many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.
Campbell - Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
