Ray Hancock, 85 of Blair died Thursday, July 31, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services were Monday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Ray Hancock was born in Burt County, Neb. to Warren and Ida (McDonald) Hancock on Feb. 12, 1912. He attended the Tekamah Public Schools and farmed in Burt county for 33 years. On June 10, 1934, he married
Rosamond Jensen. They moved to Blair in 1952. He worked for the Vinton Motor Company as a mechanic for 20 years. He was a pilot. He entered Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in October 1995.
Survivors are a daughter and son - in - law, Sylvia and Richard Toelke of Blair; a son and daughter - in - law, Carroll and Peggy Hancock of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Dorthy Neal of Hastings, Neb.; a brother, Emery Hancock of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, Mark Hancock of Oklahoma City; Michael Hancock of El Paso, Tex.; Kaye Hancock of Oklahoma City; Mark Toelke of Blair; Scott Toelke of Blair and three great - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosamond, on Dec. 19, 1988; three brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church or the Burt County Museum.
Walter Langemeier, 88

Walter P. Langemeier, 88 of Scribner, Neb., died Wednesday, July 30, 1997 at the Fremont Area Medical Center.
Services were Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper. Rev. Carl Lehmann officiated. Burial was in Memorial cemetery in Fremont.
Walter P. Langemeier was born Aug. 30, 1908 to George and Bertha (Stover) Langemeier on the family farm near Hooper, where he grew up. On Feb. 21, 1933, he married
Mabel Beck in Snyder, Neb. They farmed in the Hooper and Telbasta areas until 1966. He sold seed corn for Hoegemeyer Hybrids for 50 years and also worked for Elkhorn Valley Fertilizer and the Scriber Co - op, retiring in 1975.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Laymen's League. He had been a 4 - H leader, had served on the school board of District 18 and for many years manned the Cumming Township Agricultural Booth at the Dodge County Fair.
Survivors are a daughter and son - in - law, Shirley and Don Brown of Fremont; four sons and daughters - in - law, Richard and Helen Langemeier of Scribner; Glen and Connie Langemeier of Fremont; Larry and Vera Langemeier of Manhattan, Kan. and Ton and Linda Langemeier of Essex, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 28 great - grandchildren; and three sisters - in - law, Mildred Maahs of Scribner; Hazel Langemeier of Fremont and Arliene Packer of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel in December 1983; a sister, six brothers and two great - grandchildren.
Memorials may go to St. John's Lutheran Church or to the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner.
Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of services.
Syrilda Mundorf, 98

Syrilda Mundorf, 98 of Blair died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Syrilda Mundorf was born Sept. 24, 1898 at Blair to R. W. And Ada (Evans) Short. She attended the Blair Schools and joined the First Christian Church at the age of 13. On Oct. 6, 1915, she married
George Mundorf in Omaha. She worked for several places in Blair, including the hospital, and at the age of 86 retired from the Village Inn Restaurant.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary for over 50 years.
Survivors are her daughters and sons - in - law, Ardelle and A. L. Moulder, Craig, Neb.; Lorraine and Charles Taylor, Schuyler, Neb.; a son and daughter - in - law, Willus and Berniece Mundorf, Blair; 11 grandchildren; 17 great - grandchildren; 13 great - great - grandchildren; one brother, Ed Short, Blair; and a sister, Dorothy Plumb of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, in 1983; three sons; two sisters and three brothers.

Stanley Jensen, 83

Stanley M. Jensen, 83 of Blair died suddenly Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997 at the home of Bob Hunt, where he had been staying with his son and daughter -in -law, Mick and Gail Jensen.
Services were Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Stanley M. Jensen was born on the family farm north of Blair on Nov. 28, 1913 to Edward A. and Amy ( Anderson ) Jensen. He was a graduate of Blair High School. He attended Dana College for two years and then attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He farmed all his life except for the time he served his country during World War II. On March 22, 1942 he married
Virginia Hershey in Fremont. She preceded him in death on May 2, 1990.
He ran the time clock, along with Bob Jensen, for several years at Dana College. He was one of the first inductees into the Dana College Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Blair Lions Club, Dana Boosters and a past member of the Masons.
He is survived by three sons and daughters -in -law, Michael and Gail of Blair; John and Ingrid of Boulder, Colo.; and Curtis and Deanna of Blair; four grandchildren and a sister and brother -in -law, Alice and Bill Elwell of Sun City, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister and brother -in -law, Lucile and Hilton Rhoades; and a brother and sister -in -law, Earl and Roberta Jensen.
Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church Sunday School, Girls' Youth Softball Association or the YMCA Youth Program.

Pearl Emmaline Livermore, 78 of Blair died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Country Bible Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Pearl Emmaline Livermore was born Oct. 9, 1918 in Washington, Neb. to Harley and Amy ( Hazard ) Appleby. She attended the Blair schools, graduating from Blair High School. On March 26, 1938, she married
Delbert Livermore.
She was a member of Country Bible Church.
Survivors are a daughter and son -in -law, Merle ( Suzi ) and Larry Hadan of Bennington; three sons and daughters -in -law, Ronald and Betty of Blair, Duane and Cindy of Fayetteville, Ark.; and Don and Diane of Kimberling City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great -grandchildren; a sister -in -law, Virginia Motley of Arlington; a brother -in -law, K. C. Livermore of Reeds Spring, Mo. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert on Sept. 8, 1987; her parents; brothers, Floyd Appleby and Byron Appleby and a sister, Elsie Blomgren.

Virginia Sheets, 77

Virginia E. Sheets, 77 of Arlington died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.
Services were Sept. 26 at the Arlington Community Church in Arlington. Rev. Lee J. Milligan officiated. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.
Virginia E. Sheets was born June 22, 1920 in Glenwood, Iowa to Ira and Ruth ( Roland ) Nuss. She grew up at Pacific Junction, Iowa and was a 1938 graduate of Pacific Junction High School. She lived in Fremont from 1959 to 1963 and then moved to Arlington. Before her marriage to Herald Sheets March 22, 1963 at Blair, she worked for several years at the formerCampbell's Soup Co. in Fremont.
She was a member of the Arlington Community Church and had been active in the Arlington Senior Center since 1984.
She is survived by her husband, Herald; two daughters, Sharron De La Cruv of Tucson, Ariz. and Donna ( Mrs. Wayne ) Bohlmeyer of Lincoln; a step -daughter, Georgia ( Mrs. John ) Frost of Fremont; a step -son, Glen Sheets of Bennington; two brothers and sisters -in -law, Merrill and Mary Nuss of Marietta, Ga.; and Hershall and Marjorie Nuss of Santa Fe, N. M.; a sister and brother -in -law, Grace and George Hondell of Niceville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and eight great -grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jerald Nuss and Kenneth Nuss.
