Doris Norton, 81
Doris Mae Norton, 81, of Blair and formerly of the Oakland - Craig area, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Palmquist - Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland, Neb. Rev. Greg Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the Craig cemetery at Craig, Neb.
Doris Mae. Norton was born June 28, 1916 in Elkhart, Iowa to Frank and Carrie ( Maxwell ) Williamson. She accepted Jesus at the age of 16 at Cory Grove in the church her Williamson grandparents had helped to build in the 1800s. Her grandfather Williamson served as its pastor.
On April 23, 1938, she married
William Steven Norton at Dexter, Iowa. They lived in the Oakland and Craig area until his death in 1980. She then moved to Blair to live with her daughter, Linda Mutum.
Survivors include her daughter and son - in - law, Linda and Larry Mutum of Blair; sons and daughter - in - law, Tom Norton of Naponee, Neb. and Dan and Rita Norton of Lyons, Neb.; nine grandchildren, Paul and Cindy Norton, and Bill and Carly Norton, all of Craig; Darin and Mary Seligman of McCook, Neb.; Steve and Carrie Norton of Rulo, Neb; Dan Norton of Lyons; Shane and Melissa Banzahf of Naponee; Amanda Norton of Fremont; Larry Mutum, Jr. of Shenandoah, Iowa; Dan and Lisa Mutum of Lyons; 12 great - grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Mathis of Bondurant, Iowa; and a brother, Paul Williamson of St. Charles, Iowa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry and Jerry; a granddaughter, Tammy and three brothers, Glen, Henry and Albert.
Casket bearers will be her grandchildren, Paul Norton, Bill Norton, Steve Norton, Dan Norton, Darin Seligman, Shane Banzahf, Dan Mutum and Larry Mutum.
Ruth Wallerstedt will be organist. Patty Miller will be vocalist.
Memorials may be given to the family.

Alice Pfeiffer, 93, of Fremont died Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Fremont Care Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Henry "Hank;" Joseph Anderson

Dr. Christopher and Vicki Anderson of Chicago, Ill., are the parents of a son, Henry "Hank;" Joseph, who was born Sept. 30, 1997. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounces, measuring 20 inches long.
His grandparents are Larry and Eileen Pavel of Blair; and Paul and Jackie Anderson of Omaha.
His great - grandparents are Joe and Marie Pavel of Dodge; and Mary Tilhota of Schyuler.
Cole Joseph Mitchell

Nancy and Calvin Mitchell of Mondamin, Iowa, are the parents of a son, Cole Joseph, who was born Oct. 16, 1997, who was born at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, measuring 20 1/2 inches long.
His grandparents are Art and Mary Mitchell of Craig; and Robert and Marie Thrush of Bonifax, Fla.
His great - grandparents are Tom and Alice Hopkins; and Marylou and Raymond Monson.
Harriett Anderson, 87

Harriett Anderson, 87 of Blair died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. Harriett Anderson was born Jan. 7, 1910, the sixth of 12 children, to Christian Lawrence and Lulu Daisy Stull of Plattsmouth, Neb. She grew up there and graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1931.
She moved to Omaha and attended the California School of Beauty where she graduated and received her license to work as a beautician. She worked at a beauty shop on 38th and Farnam in Omaha for many years.
On March 17, 1943, she married
Ray Anderson. They lived on a farm southeast of Blair for 41 years. She resumed a beauty practice after her children were grown and owned a shop in Blair for a few years until grandchildren were born. She then stayed home to watch them. After her husband's death in December 1984, she moved to their home in town, still going out to the farm each day.
Survivors are a son and daughter - in - law, Robert and Kerrie Anderson; a daughter, Dolly Anderson; four grandchildren, Alan Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Shelly Chapman and Cherie Anderson, all of Blair; four great - grandchildren, Chase Chapman, Max Chapman, Dane Chapman and Cailyn Anderson; one sister, Rosie Wolski of Plattsmouth and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and ten brothers and sisters.
Campbell - Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Florence Kronberg, 88

Florence Kronberg, 88 of Fremont and formerly of Blair died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997 at Merrick Manor in Fremont.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
Florence. Kronberg was born April 2, 1909 in Dow City, Iowa to Ralph and Mary ( Miller ) Roy. She attended school at Dow City and Denison, Iowa.
On Dec. 29, 1927, she married
Elmer Kronberg in Denison. While living in Blair, she worked at the Blair Home Laundry, was a housekeeper and a nanny.
Survivors are her children, Maxine ( Mrs. Myron ) Benck, Barbara Chamberlain and Kenneth Kronberg, all of Fremont; 12 grandchildren; 20 great - grandchildren; one great - great - grandchild; one sister, Virginia Higgins, Dessert Hot Springs, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer in 1981 and one brother.
Memorials may be directed to the Cancer and Lung research.
Harry Swanson, 99

Harry H. Swanson, 99 of Blair died Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.
Harry H. Swanson was born April 13, 1898 in rural Kennard to Nels and Johanna ( Olson ) Swanson. He attended Brewster School.
On Dec. 16, 1922, he married
Mabel Jensen on the farm northwest of Kennard. They farmed northwest of Kennard until moving to a farm near Washington, Neb. in 1930. They lived there until his retirement in 1974. They then moved to Blair, where he resided at the time of his death.
He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, was on the board of directors of Washington County Mutual Insurance and had served on the Washington School board for 25 years.
Survivors are daughters and sons - in - law, Elaine and Richard Fredlick of Omaha; Lorraine and Robert Juul of Omaha; and Clara Connelly of Omaha; a son and daughter - in - law, Howard and Marilyn Swanson of Walthill, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great - grandchildren; two great - great - grandchildren; and a sister, Alma Widener of Tekamah.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mabel; a son, Donald; a granddaughter, Nancy Boyd; five brothers and two sisters.

Jason Wiese and Michelle Elliott announce the arrival of a son, Tyler Michael, who was born Oct., 5, 1997, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and stretched 20 1/2 inches.
Grandparents are Jerry and Debbie Wiese of Fort Calhoun, Lorraine Pitter of Omaha and Steve Elliott of West Virginia.
Great - grandparents are Bob and Arlene McNew and Marguerite Wiese, all of Fort Calhoun, Carmen and Henry Hughes of Kansas City, Mo., and Bertha and Sam Elliott of Arizona.
