Sandra Osmera, 56
Sandra K. Osmera, 56, of Tekamah died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.
Sandra Osmera was born June 24, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa to Charles and Margaret ( Fowler ) LaScala. She attended the Tekamah schools, graduating from Tekamah High School in 1959.
On June 4, 1973, she married
Robert Osmera in Elk Point, S.D. She worked for Modern Woodmen of America Life Insurance Company for 14 years and the Sitel Corporation for seven years.
Survivors are her husband, Robert; son, Matthew; daughter, Renee; mother and father, Margaret and Neil Vaughn, all of Tekamah; sisters, Annette Petersen of Tekamah; Bonnie Ricker of Livermore, Iowa; a brother, Gilbert LaScala and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Diane Vaughn.

Donald Petersen, Sr., 79
Donald Edward Petersen, Sr., 79, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.
Services were Monday at Sievers - Sprick Funeral Home. Rev. Gregg Miller officiated. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Donald. Petersen, Sr., was born April 17, 1918 in Avoca, Iowa, to Edward and Mayme Petersen. He grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended Tech High School.
On March 28, 1955, he married
Kathryn Clara LaChappell. He worked for Northwestern Bell in the Omaha area for 33 years before retiring. He belonged to the Northwestern Bell Pioneers.
Survivors are his wife, Kathryn; a son, Donald E. Petersen; seven grandchildren; 10 great - grandchildren; and a brother, Ken Petersen.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna M. Blenden.
Walter "Wally;" Plugge, 51
Walter "Wally;" Plugge, 51, died at his home Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997.
Services were Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Burial was in the St. Paul's Church Cemetery.
Walter "Wally;" Plugge was born May 24, 1946 at Blair to Walter F. and Dorothy ( Utermann ) Plugge. He attended the Arlington Public Schools, graduating in 1964. He served in the Fremont National Guard.
On April 13, 1968, he married
Joyce Scheer at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He farmed in rural Blair and worked for Gnuse Manufacturing in Arlington.
He was a Sunday School teacher; PTL president; church usher, Thursday Night Basketball Commissioner for over 18 years; president of March School District No. 31 at Arlington and was a member of the Washington County Cattleman's Association.
Survivors are his wife, Joyce; sons and daughter - in - law, Neil and Christine Plugge, Red Oak, Iowa; and Nate Plugge of Blair; daughter, Kristen Plugge, Blair; two grandchildren, Tyler Plugge and Jacob Plugge; his mother, Dorothy Plugge, Blair; three sisters and brothers - in - law, Donna Lee and Lloyd Petersen, Blair; Anita and Red Misfeldt, Arlington and Dorothy Ann and Larry Gaeth, Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter F. and an infant son, Kyle Lee.
Memorials may be given to the family or to the donor's choice.

Dale Ray, 66
Dale S. Ray, 66, of Fremont died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Robert E. Meanor will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial cemetery at Fremont.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday by Masonic Lodge No. 15 A.F. & A. M. of Fremont at the funeral home.
Dale Ray was born Nov. 11, 1930, in rural Arlington. He grew up in the Herman area and was a 1948 graduate of Herman High School. He lived at Blair for a short time and then moved to Tekamah. He drove a cream route, picking up cream at area farms for the creamery at Tekamah. He moved to Cedar Bluffs, Neb., in 1959 and later that year moved to Fremont. While in Fremont, he worked for Boschult Construction and Montgomery Wards. He was farm manager at the Masonic Eastern Star Home for Children for two years and then worked for Carlstrom Construction.
On May 25, 1953, he married
Alva Jean Funkhouser at Tekamah.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 15, A. F. & A. M. of Fremont; had served as master of Cub Scout Pack No. 103 and was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 103.
Survivors are three sons and daughters - in - law, Gene and Julie Ray of Hastings, Neb.; Mike and Dorla Ray of Fremont and Don Ray of Kearney; a brother and sister - in - law, Lee and Rita Ray of Millard, Neb.; a sister, Nina Ray of Moline, Ill.; two grandchildren and two step - grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dec. 22, 1994; his parents, Glynn and Katura ( Caldwell ) Ray; brothers, Art Ray, Robert Ray, Lyle Ray and Earl Ray; and a sister, Margaret Wood.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Ray, Todd Ray, Gordy Ray, Kelly Ray, Lewis Wood and Dennis Weberg.
Memorials may be given to Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
Elmer Thone, 76
Elmer L. Thone, 76, of Kennard died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services were Monday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. R. Joe Marek and Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiated. A Masonic service was held Sunday at the Campbell - Aman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Blair cemetery with military honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1251.
Elmer. Thone was born Oct. 3, 1921 in Herman to Elmer L. and Edna ( Mathews ) Thone. He attended the Thone School and graduated from Blair High School in 1939. On Aug. 20, 1942, he entered the Army and was stationed in the European Theatre as an engineer in water purification. He was discharged Oct. 13, 1945.
On May 31, 1950, he married
Gwendolyn Johnson. They farmed in the Herman and Kennard areas. He also worked with the ASCS, and for Crop Insurance and Certified Seed Cleaning.
He was a member of the VFW, volunteered at the recycling center, had been on the VFW firing squad since 1945; was commander of the VFW No. 1251 in Blair; was a Kennard Fire District member and volunteer; was a member of First Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 222 for over 50 years and of the York Rite.
Survivors are his daughter, Gail Petersen of Westminster, Calif.; five grandchildren, Shane Petersen, Sherry Petersen, Sheila Welshofer, Darren and Danica Roesch; five great - grandchildren; one brother and sister - in - law, James and Leona Thone of Blair; a sister and brother - in - law, Ila and Orville Widger of Wauneta, Neb.; nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gwen in 1990; and one grandson, David Roesch.
Jerry Fausset, 74
Jerry Fausset, 74, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997.
Graveside services were held Oct. 24, at Ivy Lawn cemetery in Ventura, Calif. Dr. Wilbur Skeels officiated.
Jerry Fausset was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Herman. He was a 1941 graduate of Herman High School. He was a resident of the Ojai Valley for more than 50 years. He retired from Oxhard Oil Refinery in December, after more than 30 years of services in sales. He was available during recent months as a consultant to the company.
He was an accomplished ballroom dancer.
Survivors are his son, Gary Fausset of Enumclaw, Wash. and a daughter, Leslie Fausset of Solana Beach, Calif.
