Norma Hineline, 72
Norma Gene Hineline, 72, of Blair died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997 at her home in Desoto in rural Fort Calhoun.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Home.
Norma Gene. Hineline was born Oct. 9, 1925, to Andrew and Bertha Ogden in Table Rock, Neb. She was a high school graduate. She married
Virgil S. Hineline and moved to the Desoto homestead where she spent her last days. She had worked for Control Data as an industrial technician.
Survivors are her sons and daughters - in - law, William and Pat Hineline of Desoto; Charles of Omaha; David and Amy of South Sioux City, Neb.; daughters and sons - in - law, Susan and Randy Robinson of Tekamah; Joyce and Bruce Hansen of Omaha; a step - sister, Helen Stegner of Lincoln; a sister - in - law, Martha Hineline of Desoto; nine grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step - father, Carl Rabel; her husband, Virgil and a daughter, Rebecca.

Mary Irvin, 66
Mary Catherine Irvin, 66, of Omaha died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Omaha. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery in Omaha.
Mary Catherine. Irvin was born Sept. 26, 1931 at Tekamah to Timothy and Opal ( Elliott) Colgan. She attended school in Tekamah. On Jan. 6, 1950, she married
Leonard Irvin in Tekamah. They moved to Omaha and lived there until she moved to Crowell Memorial Home in 1993 due to failing health. She was a beauty operator in Omaha, prior to working for Omaha Public Schools for 23 years.
She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 2609 and Satra Nile.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Gene Irvin, Sr., Omaha; daughters and sons - in - law, Sally Jo and Fred Pfeffer and LuAnn and Bernie Racek, all of Omaha; a son and daughter - in - law, Leonard Gene and Denise Irvin, Jr., of Beaver Lake, Neb.; six grandchildren, Nicholas John Irvin, McKinley Joseph Racek, Joseph Kaiser Racek, Frederick Matt Pfeffer, Sarah Danneel Pfeffer, Benjamin James Pfeffer; three step - grandchildren, Cory, Adam and Eric; and a brother, Denny L. Colgan, Herman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Arlene "Tootsie;" Snow.

Bruce Stratman, 36
Bruce Stratman, 36, of Kennard died at his home Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Interdenominational Church in Omaha. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.
Bruce. Stratman was born Feb. 8, 1961, in Omaha to James and Agnes ( Johnson) Stratman, Sr. He graduated from Blair High School in 1979. On Sept. 24, 1982, he married
Diane Taylor in Cleveland, Ohio. For the past 16 years, he was employed by Roberts Dairy.
He was a member of Son - Rise Community Church, a leader of the Little Lambs Children's Choir; had been the leader of the Children's Church Choir at Trinity Interdenominational Church and served on the Kennard Fire Department.
Survivors are his wife, Diane Stratman; five children, Christopher Stratman, Jennifer Stratman, Samantha Stratman, Benjamin Stratman and Stephanie Stratman; his parents, Jim and Aggie ( Agnes) Stratman of Bennington; four brothers and sisters - in - law, Jim and Janece Stratman, Jr., Bennington; Mike and Pam Stratman, Valley, Nebr.; Rich and Joi Stratman, Fort Calhoun; John and Andrea Stratman, Waterloo Nebr.; four sisters and brothers - in - law, Debra and Paul Sornson, Wichita, Kans.; Denise and Steve Olsen, Aurora, Ill.; Julie and Paul Dotzler, Bennington; and Melissa Stratman, Boulder, Colo.

Dorothy Siert, 82
Dorothy Louise Siert, 82, of Blair, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Dorothy Louise Siert was born Dec. 2, 1915, at Blair to John and Gladys ( Luse ) Siert. She graduated from Blair High School and later attended Dana College. She was of the third generation of her family to live in the Blair community. On Dec. 1, 1935, she married
Robert Siert in Omaha.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Rebeccas, an extension club and was a 4 - H and Girl Scout leader.
Survivors are her daughters and sons - in - law, Sharon and Robert Madsen and Barbara and Gaylen Sandvold, all of Blair; four grandchildren, Michael Madsen, Jeff Madsen, Susan Tiede and Jim Sandvold; and four great - grandchildren, Kylie Madsen, Brian Madsen, Michael Sandvold and Jake Robert Tiede.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1994; her parents and one brother, Jack Petersen.

Harry Beck, 92
Harry Beck, 92, of Blair died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1997, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services were Monday at the First Baptist church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Harry Beck was born Dec. 1, 1905, in Blair to Hans and Ida (Badgerow) Beck. He was a graduate of Blair High school. On March 17, 1934, he married
Mildred Burger in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He worked as a mechanic for Vinton Motor Company for over 50 years, specializing in transmission repair.
He was a member of the Blair Volunteer Fire Department for several years.
Survivors are his son, Don, of Blair; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Taylor of Fremont; a sister, Alice Scheffler, of Blair; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred in 1978 and a sister, Edna Kuhr.
Memorials may be given to First Baptist church or Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Clifford Hollingsworth, 69
Clifford Hollingsworth, 69 of Carter Lake, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997 in Omaha at St. Joseph Hospital.
Services are pending at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. A complete obituary will be run later.
John Jensen, 87
John T. Jensen, 87, of Blair died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1997, in Mesa, Ariz.
Services were Monday at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial was in the Craig, Nebraska, Cemetery.
John T.. Jensen was born June 7, 1910 at Craig to John D. and Alice (Wilcox) Jensen. On Aug. 10, 1935, he married
Francis H. Hale. He lived on a farm in Burt County until 1955, when they moved to Blair. He retired from Interstate Bakeries in 1971 after 20 years of service. He played semi-professional baseball with Tekamah, Craig and Oakland teams for 13 years.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Craig since 1932 and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Blair.
Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Karen Beth and J. Kent Howard, LeaWood, Kans.; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis R. and Mary K. Jensen, Terre Haute, Ind.; grandchildren, Michael Howard, John Howard, Mark Howard, Randall Jensen, Jeffrey Jensen, John Jensen, James Jensen, and Julie Stilwell; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jensen, Hilary Jensen, Carson Howard Templeton and John Jensen Howard and his personal companion, Phyllis Hopkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Francis in 1990; and his brothers, Louis Jensen and Melville Jensen.
