Evelyn Larson, 82
Evelyn D. Larson, 82, of Omaha and formerly of Blair died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Evelyn D. Larson was born March 21, 1915, in rural Blair to William and Helen (Hansen) Wulf. She attended school in Blair. After growing up in Blair, she spent the remainder of her life in Omaha. She worked at Lutheran Hospital for 21 years in environmental management, retiring in 1982. She was married
to Arthur F. Larson.
She was a member of the National Association of Housekeeping Executives.
Survivors are a niece, Peggy Vomacka of Omaha; five nephews, Jim Croudy of Phoenix, Ariz.; Tom Croudy of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Bill Wulf of Oklahoma; Reg Wulf and Monte Wulf of Blair; a sister-in-law, Bertha Wulf of Blair and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur on March 11, 1967; her parents; brothers, Raymond and Don and a sister, Irene Croudy.

Irene Stork, 82
Irene Stork, 82, of Fremont and most recently of the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner, Neb., died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont.
Services were Jan. 30 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Timothy Gierke and Rev. Art Hill officiated. Burial was in the Ridge cemetery at Fremont.
Irene Stork was born Oct. 2, 1915 in Hamburg, Iowa to Mon and Eva (Marvin) Callahan. She moved to Fremont with her family at the age of 12. On June 4, 1939, she married
Gilbert C. Stork in the Immanual Lutheran Church east of Winslow. They farmed west of Herman. In 1963, they moved to Eureka Springs, Ark., where they owned and operated the Ozark Cafe and the Camper Court. In 1974, they retired and moved back to Fremont.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont and was the first secretary / treasurer of the Nebraska Appaloosa Horse Club.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Pearl Stork of Fremont and Wayne and Carol Stork of Apache Junction, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Kirchmann of Pflugerville, Tex.; Mona and Wes Ringle of Fremont and Doris and Pat Osbon of Nebraska City, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert in June 1985; a sister, Ruth Johnson and an infant sister, Margie.
Memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont, the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner or the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Wallace Jones, 80
Wallace Frank "Buss; " Jones, 80, of rural Washington County, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Wallace Frank "Buss; ".; Jones was born Dec. 6, 1917 at Desoto, Neb., to Herbert P. and Blanche (Wallace) Jones. He attended school at Desoto and graduated from Fort Calhoun High School.
On Dec. 21, 1939, he married
Maudie Kephart at Sidney, Iowa. He farmed in the Desoto area his entire life.
Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Ronald Stork, Blair, and Sue and David Barker, Fort Calhoun; a son, Russ Jones of Fort Calhoun and his fiancee, Joan Ward, Blair; four grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Nancy Stork, Shari and Scott McCain, Taraisa and Butch Groves and Mike and Jenn Barker; six great-grandchildren, Derek Stork, Jarett Stork, Justin Stork, Lindsey McCain, Lucas McCain and Jordan Groves; two brothers, Herb Jones of Blair and Bob Jones of Oakland, Neb.; and one sister, Lorraine Johnson of Blair.
He was preceded in death by his wide in December 1984 and his parents.

Blanche Robeson, 96
Blanche Robeson, 96 of Blair died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998..
Services were Saturday at First Baptist Church in Blair. Rev. Todd Schave and Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Blance Robeson was born Oct. 6, 1901, in Tama, Iowa to Tom and Mary Estalla (Memmer) Coe. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from high school in 1920.
On Oct. 19, 1920, she married
Scott C. Robeson in a ceremony in Wheatland, Wyo., where she was then living. In 1924, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Robeson purchased the Clifton Hotel in Blair and Scott and Blanche helped manage the hotel until it was sold in 1969. Due to failing health, they lived at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, where she lived until her death.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Shirley Robeson of Blair and Vernon and Mildred Robeson of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Vicki Nash of Athens, Ala.; Clark Robeson of Omaha; Curtis Robeson of Blair; and Phil Robeson of Town Creek, Ala.; 11 great-grandchildren, Joan Nash Comer of Athens; Diana Nash Blackwood of Florence, Ala.; Dan Nash, Jr., of Rogersville, Ala.; Charles Robeson, Joseph Robeson and Shelley Robeson, all of Blair; Tyler Robeson and Jill Robeson of Omaha; Jeremiah McConnell and Jonthan McConnell of Fort Collins, Colo. and Ivy Robeson of Town Creek, Ala.; two great-great-granddaughters, Victoria Camille Comer of Athens; and Carley Brooke Nash of Rogersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott in October 1985; her parents; a grandson, Charles Arthur Robeson and a granddaughter, Holly Elizabeth McConnell.

Frances "Peggy" Scharf, 72
Frances Jean "Peggy; " Scharf, 72, of Fort Calhoun, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Omaha.
Services were Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. Rev. Hugh Schwartz officiated. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Frances Jean "Peggy; ".; Scharf was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Winnepeg, Canada. She graduated from Tech High School in Omaha. She was a bookkeeper. On July 17, 1944, she married
George W. Scharf in Papillion, Nebr.
She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
Survivors are her husband, George; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Tim James, Garland, Tex.; Pamela and Warren Haffke, Fort Calhoun and Penny Spry, Omaha; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Townsend, Warren Haffke, Paul Snyder, Jason Spry, Ed Hron and Jerry Luedders.

Joan E. Billings, 80
Joan E. Billings, 80, of Blair died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home's Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Jensen will officiate. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Memphis, Tenn.
Joan E.. Billings was born March 17, 1918, in Ripley, Tenn., to Thomas and Izora (Glisson) Saunders. She went to Central High School in Memphis. She married
Eugene Z. Billings in Hernardo, Miss., July 13, 1943. She had lived in Memphis and Omaha before moving to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in October 1992.
Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Richard Buckingham, Fort Calhoun and Linda and Steve Cooper, Beebetown, Iowa; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 26, 1984; her parents; six sisters and two brothers.
Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Evelyn Heller, 72, of Blair died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at Maple Crest Health Care Center in Omaha.
Services were Monday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Home.
Evelyn. Heller was born Nov. 1, 1925, to Harold and Mattie (Simpson) Hundt. On Aug. 25, 1947, she married
Darwin Heller in Omaha.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Wayne Harris of Shelby, Ind.; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin, on Jan. 31, 1995.
